Pretty in pink

Next up is the card I made for Dawny's sketch on the Papertake Weekly blog and the first challenge (So our challenge is Sugar & Spice & All Things Nice. You can use all of your girlie pretty things here, or perhaps you might want to use sugar and spice colours like some of the girls have done. Or you might have your own interpretation - it's entirely up to you.) on the Anyone For Anya? blog. I realise that I'm late posting this but I do have a valid explanation this time (see post below)

Paper - Nancy Watt (mag freebie), Greeting - Crate rub on, Glamour Dust, Flowers - made by me :)
Ribbon - Ribbon Oasis

Passion For Purple

is the challenge this week on the Passion For ProMarkers blog The colour combo this week is at least two purples (you can choose from lilac, lavender, amethyst and aubergine). Most of the DT have used all four colours but we know most of you may not have all four so we would like to see your creations using at least two of these purples as the predominant colours on your image. Of course if you have all four purples we would love you to use them!

Ribbon - Michaels, Butterfly and borders - MS punches

It has taken me hours to get this bloomin' post up. Firefox wouldn't work, then blogger decided to play silly b*****s with me, then my laptop decided that it wasn't having any either. I've had no email either which isn't good when you are trying to 'speak' to a potential client via email!! I am back on now using Explorer, which is strange because I only started using Firefox when Blogger started conflicting with IE.....technology eh. Can't live with it, can't live without it :))

On Thursday night after getting back from Cornwall I came online to check my emails only to find that I didn't have any internet access. It turned out that something had slid off the top of my printer onto my wireless dangly thing (technical term ;)) and snapped the pins inside so I am now hooked up with a big long cable again. It's like being back in the dark ages LOL I completely forgot and tried to get online last night whilst I was watching the X Factor, what a muppet!!

Right, I'm off to post another couple of challenges while the going is good :)

Rosie-Dee's

Well, I'm back and rested after two "glorious" weeks in Cornwall (even though I had to take some work with me!). DD took a friend with her and they got on brilliantly (I was a bit worried as they are both 15 and argue lol) and my parents came too. The apartment was fab, the location is fab, the whole county is fab but the weather wasn't.........it doesn't bother me though, I just love being in Cornwall. I went house hunting again and found a fab bungalow right on the beach, with a one bedroom holiday let loft conversion but at £350,000 it's a bit outside my budget as I haven't got a house to sell. We don't want to get rid of ours as the kids won't have anywhere to live if they didn't want to move. I will keep doing the lottery and I won't give up on my dream of living in Cornwall (I just wish I could move it on a bit!)

Anyway, I ran out of time before I left so didn't have enough time to figure out how to schedule my RD work so am having to show it all now along with this week's sneaky peek. (sorry girls) I did get it all done up to date though.

This month's theme has been holidays and the theme for my first piece of work was beach

Week 48 was Sun

Last week's challenge was Sea

and this week's challenge is...........ha ha, you have to wait till tomorrow to find out but here's my sneaky peek to be going on with :))

I've used an assortment of papers (which have all come from my scrap box) and images coloured with ProMarkers. Everyting else is from my stash.

Thanks for looking.

Card selection

Finally yesterday I made a card for one of my couples who get married whilst we are on our hols and used a Friday Sketchers sketch from a couple of weeks ago.

Image - Elzybells Papers - Pink Petticoat and magazine freebie
Flowers - Prima

Ribbon - Ribbon Oasis

Brad - Doodlebug

I made a load of cards over the weekend for DH to give to his wedding/party hosts as he had four over the weekend, another four while we're away and three the weekend we get back. I actually think he might have a couple of spares too!

They are all very simple as I don't get anything for making them and I buy the card etc so I usually use the fab Pink Petticoat downloads, bits of paper and card from my box of left overs and any glitter, ribbon etc which is laid about on my desk. It took me an hour and a half to make 17 cards, not bad eh?!

Thanks for dropping by. I have another box to do this morning then some birthday cards which need to be posted before I go away so will probably be back later with some more challenge cards.

Mojo Monday

The third box I decorated yesterday was using last week's sketch from Mojo Monday I often use these sketches but am usually too late to show them (as in this case :)) The simplistic look of the sketches is right up my street.Image - Elzybells (coloured with ProMarkers)
Paper - Pink Petticoat
Butterfly - Quickutz Rev die (brand spanking new :))

Friday Sketchers

My next 'creation' ;) was made using last week's sketch from Friday Sketchers

I made some commissioned albums a few weeks ago and these boxes were the only ones I could find to fit. I wanted slightly smaller but deeper boxes but the only way I could get what I wanted was to have them made. The only problem was that I had to order a minimum of 500! That would be ok if I knew that I was going to make another 496 albums but I don't plus I don't have anywere to store them. As the boxes weren't exactly what I was looking for I decided to decorate and give them to my customers foc. Out of the three boxes I decorated today, this has to be my favourite.

Papers - K & Co and Summer Driggs (check out Summer's blog, she has some fantastic freebie papers over there)

Passion For ProMarkers

Any colours you like
Our challenge this week has been chosen by Michele and again we have a sketch to work with. However the twist this week is that you can use any colours you like *yay* (great for all you peeps that don't have all the colours yet).
And again I'm in by the skin of my teeth!! :)

Not strictly a card, well ok, not a card at all..........it's a box to put an album in but I did use ProMarkers and I did use the sketch :)

I came across this this morning completely by accident! There is another new challenge blog starting this month (the day I go on holiday - boo) and they have great candy on offer.

There was a shout out for DT members but as usual, I missed it :( How do you all find out about all these fabby dt calls cos I miss them all.

This challenge will be a monthly one and I shall be keeping an eye on this one to see what it's all about.

I can't believe it's already a week since I blogged. I have been really busy but never gave it a thought even though I managed to incorporate another couple of challenges into my work. I still have some commissions to do before I go away on Thursday plus some dt work which I will schedule for when I'm away just incase there isn't a broadband connection is darkest Cornwall LOL Here is the card I made for last week's challenge over at Rosie-Dee's The challenges this month are all based around holidays and the month started off with a sketch.

DT card and

.......a sneaky peek :)

First is my card for last week's challenge which finished off the 'occasions' month. The challenge this time was to make a sympathy card. Not something we like making but something I suppose we must all have to make at some point. I've had to make eight personal ones this year, not something I want to repeat in a hurry! :(

Paper - one of the BG pads (Boxer, I think)
Sentiment - internet

Swirl - QK Rev die

Flowers - Prima
Flat backed SA pearls - stash

Now for my sneaky peek for the challenge this week

Don't forget to pop over to the Rosie-Dee's challenge blog at about 6 pm to see what the new challenge is and how the DT have interpreted it. We look forward to you joining in with us :)
