Christmas time....

mistletoe and wine...........I think that's enough of that one :)

I hope you all had a good weekend. Has all the 'fluffy white stuff' gone from where you are? Ours has and we are now back to green. I wonder how long it will last though as more is forecast for Thursday and temps are set to plummet again! I wonder what the country has learnt from the last three weeks or so and if they will put it all into practice :) Probably not and everywhere will end up gridlocked again lol

Below are the cards from an order I received last week. I managed to get them all finished by Friday and they are now all packed and ready to go.

The cards are made from an assortment of decoupage toppers and papers by Nancy Watt and Papermania. I've added the odd die cut here and there, a few gem, lots of Glamour Dust and typewritten sentiments. I hope you like them :)

Back soon, thanks for looking. xx

So little time.........

tee hee! I don't seem to have looked up from my work at all this week, as soon as I have finished one order another one is ready to begin.

It has been absolutely treacherous getting to work this past week or so but at last we have colours back instead of everywhere being white. I can't believe how quickly it has all gone!

I have managed to get a lot done again this week and as well as filling orders we now have the business name on the window which looks super good. It's all care of Nikki at DewDrop Craftz......she has made a damn fine job of the lettering, thanks Nikki.

So onto my work. On Monday I made extra invitations, guest book and post box for one of my brides.

Purple has been quite popular this year but it has looked totally different at each wedding, it looks very regal and it's a colour I enjoy working with.

Tuesday was the Inspirational Card Sketch challenge day. I had some wedding anniversary cards ordered so I decided to use the sketch for one of those.

Assorted materials were used including the fab papers and flowers from Nitwits freebies in one of the craft mags. I have a couple of the collections bought from Nitwits but it is so difficult to choose which ones to buy as they are
all just fab. I might make it my new year's resolution to go and buy at least one kit per month :))

Wednesday was just as creative lol and I can't remember what I did as well as the snowman poo, snowman soupl and reindeer food which were being collected by my cousin who owns a hairdressing salon in town!!

I'll leave it there and come back later as I now have to get ready for work.
Enjoy your day and if you can make it last for a few extra hours rather than the normal 24 I will be very grateful
:)

Kathy's Waffle

Sketch File part 2!! Well just look at me....it's the second day of the month and I have created another project using the fabulous sketch for out challenge this month :)

I chose one of Anice's wonderful word books to work with for this month's challenge and instead of making the word book I chose to use the papers in the kit to make a card instead (see post below) I should have known that I wouldn't be able to resist the temptation for very long and yesterday and today I made a book from it lol

I'm really pleased with the way it's turned out and if you look hard enough you will see Kathy's Sketch on the cover.

I even made the envelope to put it in! I have just added a few die cuts, ribbon and lace, a couple of rub ons and the digi stamp on the front (which is from D Z Doodles ) and that's it, nothing else needed...well I don't think so anyway.

I am going to add this to the Daring Cardmakers challenge and their theme this week is "Spots & Stripes", and the Allsorts Challenge whose theme is "Monochrome" I might also try and sneak it into the Get Funky challenge as they have used Kathy's sketch this week too.

Thanks for looking and if you are anywhere which is suffering from adverse weather conditions as we are in the UK then I hope you can stay warm and safe.

Take care.

Kathy's Waffle

Sketch file not only have another of Kathy's fabulous sketches to play with, we are fortunate enough to be sponsored by Funky Hand with some of Anice's gorgeous papers. The girls on the FHDT have played along with the sketch too and I really can't wait to see how they all use it (and pick up some tips :))

The delightful little image is from Pink Gem Designs which I printed onto beige card and onto spotty paper and paper pieced his hat, scarf and ric rac on his arms and legs. I used micro buttons for his button and a mini red button for his holly berry on his hat. I finished my card off with tiny punched snowflakes and pale blue gems. This card makes me cold just looking at it.

Please take a look at the fabulous creations by the rest of our small but perfectly formed DT, you won't be disappointed :) We hope you can find the time to join us this month and look forward to seeing your work.

Take care and keep warm :)
