Another two in one challenge which I almost uploaded yesterday by mistake........I got the image onto my post then realised and deleted it :) I used Jane's sketch from the Secret Crafter's challenge and the colour combination of Ruby and Gold is from the Passion for ProMarkers blog.
I think the patterned paper is by Papermania but I'm not 100% sure.
Image was in my prize from the lovely Jo coloured with ProMarkers
Ric rac is from Ribbon Oasis

My jewels and gems are Card Candy, also from Craftwork Cards (and you can see my top reflected in them :))

Double trouble!
Late again!
........with the challenge from Papertake Weekly (so what's new, I hear you cry LOL) Well anyway, it's done now. I was also having a mooch around whilst waiting for the mojo to kick in (I think it is going into holiday mode, but it's way too early :)) and I came across the Dutch Dare challenge blog which I had seen on a couple of blogs but never thought to investigate! They have a great sketch this week so I decided to use it with the Papertake challenge of "My Favourite Things" My absolute favouritist thing(s) at the moment are the new Bloom and Grow papers from My Minds Eye.......I just lurve them :)

Inspirational Card Sketches
Dawn comes up with some lovely sketches but I must admit that they sometimes scare the life out of me LOL and this sketch was one of the scarey ones. When I first looked at it there appeared to be too much to put on my card but this is what the DT projects are for and they are fab and true to the blog title......thank you girls :)

Friday Sketchers
I have a pile of images (some stamped and some downloads) on my desk and decided that, along with my paper mountain, so have decided that, before I print anything else I will use them up! So all my cards today have used bits from various pots on my desk. I was pleased when I saw this sketch as I felt it suited my little astronaut down to the ground :)

Passion for
ProMarkers (why do I keep wanting to call them Pro Plus?!?) LOL I am really enjoying these challenges and I think my colouring is definitely getting a bit a better :) I'm not sure my bank manager is liking them much though.........I have 50 pens now and still haven't got all the colours I need for the future challenges!
Anyhow this week the colours were cornflower blue and cocoa with the added twist of a sketch.

Wedding jewellery
Well after one of the crappiest of weeks again I thought I would lift the spirit of things by searching out some of the many projects I have undertaken and not got round to blogging. Whilst I was sorting out my desk top and clearing away some files I came across the following picture. Now I thought I had added this a while ago, before the wedding actually, but then I realised that I couldn't have done as I didn't finish it till about 2am on the morning of the wedding!! LOL
My dress and fascinator were black and ivory so I used AB crystal, jet black and silk Swarovski crystals to make myself a matching set of necklace, bracelet and earrings. I don't know if you can make it out, but there is a little butterfly in the centre of each earring (see close up). The beads were threaded onto silver tiger tail and I used sterling silver findings. The clasp on the necklace is a Swarovski rose clasp and it is just gorgeous.
I was really pleased with the way they turned out :)

So sad
We had another death in the family this morning. For those who visit my blog regularly, you will probably remember that we lost a treasured Aunt just before Christmas (amongst others :(). Well last night I had a phone call to say that her husband was in hospital drifting in and out of a coma. He was taken in with pneumonia and septicaemia and they found a large tumour in his stomach. He was taken off all his medication apart from morphine but he knew he was leaving us. He told his DiL the other day that Florence (his wife) had gone to make him a cup of tea and that although he was going to take it from her, he wasn't going to bring it back.........how sad is that. I've always believed that it is possible to die from a broken heart and this proves it to me all the more.
Rest easy now Cec and look after each other. We love and miss you both. xx

Debbi Moore
I've just realised that I haven't posted my latest samples for Debbi! Making Christmas cards in June is quite difficult when the sun is shining but at least I didn't have to make them last week when it was swelteringly hot. I don't usually think about the 'C' word till we have been on holiday in August and even then I struggle LOL.

All of the backing papers, images, alphabets and sentiments are from Debbi's Christmas Dreams cd, the other bits and bobs are from my stash. I also used a couple of stamps from the Christmas 2 set and Metal Magic (which I was scared to death of at first, but absolutely love it now :))
Debbi will be on Create and Craft (I think) next Tuesday 14th so if you get the chance to watch, you might just see one of my cards :)

DewDrop Craftz
Have you checked out the new challenge on the DewDrop Craftz blog yet? Sarah has set a colour challenge using this fab picture (courtesy of Martha Stewart)
Isn't that just the most beautiful shade of blue?
The image is a new release from the DewDrop shop and will be available very soon. The stamp is made using another of Sally-Ann Hancock's sketches and I've coloured her with ProMarkers.

La Pashe
I'm not really into decoupage but I do like the sheets by Jak Heath. DH's uncle was 80 last weekend and I wanted to make him a card which was a bit special. He loves his garden but I've used everything else I have to do with gardening on previous cards, then I remembered I had these sheets. Once I had it cut out and made up I started my seach for a wood grained paper which I eventually found (but can't remember where from. Any how, DH rang him last Saturday and all he kept saying was that I was really clever, he had never seen a card like it before and was so chuffed with it he had shown it to everyone who had been round :)
I can't and won't take the full credit for the card as, if it wasn't for this very talented lady, Jak Heath, it would never have materialised......thanks Jak!

The bits and pieces hanging on the front of the shed are stamped images from a set I won a few years ago, I think they are by One Four Zero. The seed packet is a button and the brads are from my stash.
Can you tell I'm avoiding work? LOL I must get my bits finished though as I have another job to do this week that I'm really looking forward to :)
Take care, bfn
2 sketches
4 U sketches are just fab and although I've been using the sketches over the last few weeks, I haven't had the chance to upload them until now.
I had to wait to add my last card for the 2 Sketches as I used last weeks sketch for my DewDrop DT card :)
