Hats and scarves

are all finished packed and ready for the nice courier man to collect them in the morning and they should have them within the next 48 hours. :)

Two challenges...

..one card. I'm entering this card into the Sketch Saturday challenge (which is a sketch) and the Passion For Promarkers challenge (and the colours this week are cool aqua and cocoa)

Materials: paper - Wild Asparagus (My Mind's Eye), image - Flowers Sugar Nellie coloured with Promarkers,
flowers - Prima and everything else from stash

I've just noticed that Sugar Nellie is sponsoring the PfP challenge......I really must start reading properly!
I'm now going to make a cup of coffee and make my hats etc.
Back soon.

Papertake

Guess who's playing catch up again (just for a change) lol I'm sat here surrounded by wedding and card orders and what have I been doing..............sewing! I made another 12 hat and scarf set on Friday evening/Saturday morning and have just cut out another eight from the last of my fleeces for now so will sew those up shortly. They haven't interrupted my work at all as they have been late evening (1 oclock!)/early morning projects and I am so enjoying doing them. I haven't sewed anything for years :)
Meanwhile, I needed a couple of cards so have made those up this morning from a couple of Papertake Weekly challenges. This one was for DH to take to work last night

Materials: papers - Stampin Up, image - Pink Petticoat, flowers - Prima, brad - Woodware and everything else is from my stash.

Materials: paper - Activity Village, image Digi Stamp Boutique coloured with Promarkers, ribbon - Ribbon Oasis sentiment was
done on my lap top and the SA pearls are from my stash

and this card is to go in the box with the hats and scarves tomorrow.

Just like buses...

nothing for ages then two come along at once!! lol This is just a quickie though before I get cracking on some more hats and scarves. DH came home from work this evening with some more fleeces and there are some really snazzy once in with them so I can't wait to see them made up!

I managed three quick cards today and used a couple of challenges, the first being Mojo Monday

I think the cutie little bear is an Elzybells stamp, (but not 100% sure as I won it last year as part of a blog candy), coloured with Promarkers, paper is My Mind's Eye and the greeting is from Craftwork Cards.

Paper is Doodlebug, image is a clear stamp form Debbi Moore Designs just stamped using black Versafine ink, sentiment was done on the lap top, flowers are Prima, little clear glittery gems are from Papermania.

Papers again are from assorted My Mind's Eye packs, image is from Pink Petticoat and the drop crystals have been high lighted with Glamour Dust (but the photo hasn't picked it up, flowers are Prima and the ribbon is from Ribbon Oasis
I hope you like them and any comments will be most appreciated. Must dash now as I have sewing to do :) tfl

Bad blogger (again)

I made a pact with myself to try to blog every day once I'd got the Christmas rush out of the way (even if I didn't have work to show) but that seems to have fallen by the wayside again!! If anyone knows where I could get another five hours a day I would be very grateful :)) So this week so far I have:
finished a wedding stationery order

You can't actually tell from the photo but the pink bows are on the stems of crossed champagne flutes!
Made 20 extra invitations for a client whose order I finished before Christmas

Cuttlebug Paisley embossing folder and red gems.
Made evening invitations for a friend

and then last night I made these

after a Nicki asked on a forum if anyone would like to help. Tonight I will make some navy blue ones and DH is calling on his way home to get me some more fleece (throws from Primark....£2 each and I got four hats and four scarves out of the pink one!!) They have been embellished with assorted flowers cut with the Big Shot from felt which have been glued on (it's the first time I've cut fabric with dies!) and assorted buttons which have been stitched on.

I've got one more post to do which will be my 800th so I think a little blog candy might be in the offing. I will try to get something sorted today and post either later on or tomorrow.

Thanks for looking.

He loves me!

Just look what my soppy DH has done on the car windscreen this morning :)

As he couldn't get the car on the drive last night he decided to go to work on the train this morning.
And this was one of my Christmas presents lol

I don't think Kim and Aggie have much to worry about lol

Let it snow!

I think we have had enough for now. We had a very light dusting last night, nothing overnight, then it started again at about 7.30 this morning. This is what it looked like by 8.30

The next photo was taken at about 9.20 am

and this one was taken about 20 minutes ago!

Just look at my poor Buddlia

We have probably had about 6 inches of snow today. It stopped at about 6.30 this evening and is just starting again, albeit very lightly. DD was sent home from school this morning as they closed it at 10am. They are closed tomorrow and not sure about Thursday yet. Apparently we have more snow forcast for later in the week!
I'm supposed to be going for a facial and back massage tomorrow afternoon but me thinks I might need to ring and postpone it and stay snuggly warm and working instead. If you have it where you are then stay safe...if you don't have it yet and would like some then drop me a line, I'm sure we can sort something out :)

DewDrop Craftz

Challenge 5 has been announced today and for this challenge Nikki has asked for
"New Year, New You" - DewDrop Craftz is challenging you to use a technique you would normally not use..
So, feel free to interpret in anyway you can.. in any crafting creation.. whether it be a card, layout or altered project..

The rules can be seen on the blog and there is a prize of £10 worth of Digi stamps for the winner.

I stitched a border round my image using part of a snowflake template! The image used is Tokyo Girl and she has been coloured with Prisma pencils and Sansador for a change. Paper is from Art From The Heart (which I've had for years!), sentiment is from Craftwork Cards, buttons were in my fab Secret Santa box and everything else is from my stash.

New jewellery for 2010

I thought I would add a little preview of my new jewellery before it hit's my web site. I finally got round to using some of the beads that I bought to take to Cornwall or bought in Cornwall this year. I always take beading stuff on holiday with me as it's much easier to transport than card making stuff and this was the reason I bought my first beads! I wanted something to do while we were away and bought enough beads to fit into a little compartmented box...........if only that were still the case :) Very quickly I went from this

to this (please excuse the clutter, I'm reorganising my room!)

and now I've made these

This one was made after finding a free pattern a couple of years ago on t'internet. However, I lost the pattern so can't credit the designer-sorry.

They are all available to buy and will be appearing on my web site www.partynightscreations.co.uk shortly or I can add the prices here if anyone is interested.

Right off to work now.....I have wedding stationery and birthday cards to make :) Thanks for looking.

DT call

Rosie has put out a call for a new DT member for the RosieDee challenge blog and as well as the new year card below

I altered a box, to match my storage baskets, to use as a rack for storing my Card Candy. So we went from this

to this

and this is my (very messy) ribbon basket

The gingham paper was downloaded from The Activity Village and everything else, including the glass jars and Prima Flowers are from my stash.

Happy New Year

to all the lovely people I've met through the internet and blog land. I hope it's a good one for all of us :) xx
