All work and no play......

but the card rack is actually starting to fill up :) I'm still using the off cuts mountain and it doesn't seem to be going down but I'm sure it will if I keep fighting it.

So this week (apart from DT cards, 2 seating plans and a fascinator) I have made

Image - Papermania stamped with sepia ink, papers from the paper mountain and the sentiment is from Craftwork Cards
Image, coloured with Promarkers is from Bugaboo Stamps the offcuts of card are from my drawer.
Image and flourish paper from Pink Petticoat spotty paper is by My Mind's Eye and the sentiment was made using the workdesk on the Craft The Year Away cd by Funky Hand
I can't remember where the image is from but I think it might be Woodware, paper is Basic Grey and the sentiment is from Craftwork Cards
Image from Cuddly Buddly coloured with Promarkers, paper is from Stampin Up and the lace and gems are from my craft box.

The cute golfer is another digital image from Bugaboo stamps, and the papers are again from my drawer.
Bible - Sizzix, border - Martha Stewart, frame - Nesties, ribbon and charm from my craft box
Papers - Bugaboo Stamps coloured with Promarkers, papers - Pink Petticoat, sentiment - pc generated
Image - DigiStamp Boutique paper - Stampin Up, everything else from my craft stash
Image - DigiStamp Boutique, not sure about the paper, the charm and ribbon are from my craft box
paper - My Mind's Eye, sentiment - Craftwork Cards
 Images as before
Images - Pink Petticoat, flowers - Prima
Me to You Bear - Papermania, white lace - Creative Treasures

Well, I think that's enough for anyone for one evening.
Back soon :) xx

WOYWW

I can't believe I managed to get round so few blogs this week but I kept getting sidetracked by all the fab desks and the beautiful work of the members of Julia's 'What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday' project at Stampin Ground. However, I shall carry on commenting on this weeks posts alongside last weeks :)

So here is my desk again, it doesn't really look much different from last week. I think you can click on the photos to enlarge them, I must check that out :))

And by popular demand from several of my commentor this week...............a close up of the beads on my desk!!

Right, I've got more work to do and then I shall be off on the blog hopping journey.

Thanks for stopping by.

Cookin with gas!!

Yesterday saw my turn to add my creation to the Get Funky! challenge blog and what a plonker I was :) I uploaded my post late on Friday night for it to go live at 9am yesterday morning, however, when I got in from the shop yesterday I went over to check it looked ok and it wasn't there!! After about 10 minutes of rooting through all the posts on the blog I finally found it on 6th April.....yes you've guessed it, which plonker put the date in the post option the wrong way round. Note to self...either make sure I upload my post at a sensible hour so my eyes are actually open or get a capable person to check it before it is uploaded lol

So onto my card(s) This is the first one I made without the free paper but still following Kathy's brief

The papers, image and the green button are from the Craft The Year Away cd. The card below is made using the freebie paper
Just in case you fancy making a stepper card, I've posted the instructions and measurements on the Get Funky! blog. The owl image is from the Dreams Come True cd.

You have until the 15th of the month to enter the challenge but please remember, if you enter the challenge you must use something from Funky Hand or you will not be entered into the draw.

Good luck.

WOYWW

I have looked into Julia's blog, Stampin Ground for quite a while now and looked on in envy, not quite feeling worthy enough to join in with all these super witty crafts people. However, I have decided finally to take the bull by the horns and show my 'tip' to the world!! I promise I will work my way through the list asap :)

As you will probably have gathered, if you don't already know me, I run a small shop which is also my craft room and believe me this IS tidy compared to how it was sometimes when I was only crafting at home.

See you all soon. x

Congratulations

It's been a really strange day today regarding the weather. When the sun has been out it has been lovely and warm and (obviously) bright, however as the clouds drifted across not only did it get chilly but it was as though someone had flicked a switch...it got quite dark. Luckily we had a bit more sun than cloud and it is supposed to be getting warmer again this week.

It's the turn of the wedding cards to hit the blog today as I've managed to get a couple done for the stand over the last few days in between orders.

Papers used are by Stampin Up and they are gorgeous!
Papers again by Stampin Up and the image is a stamp by Elzybells
I have no idea where this image came from apart from it was half of a decoupage sheet bought a couple of years ago!! Cute though :)

That's all for now......it's past my bed time ;)
Thanks for stopping by and tomorrow it will be blog catch up time.
Take care

Complete Cardmaking

I was thrilled a few weeks ago to have been chosen, along with other members of the Funky Hand DT, to showcase components from the Craft The Year Away cd which were on the free cd given away by Complete Cardmaking magazine. I had never seen this magazine as it is quite expensive but I found it to be quite good. There was a free cd on the from of the magazine including freebies from Funky Hand and Kirsty Wiseman and others as well as free programmes.

I made the card to match my word book but it wasn't published. They missed my surname off for some strange reason too but it was mentioned on the contributors list at the back of the mag :)

Bye for now.

You passed!

I've managed to slot some 'ordinary' card in for the shop in between orders over the last couple of weeks and have been building my stock up slowly.......then on Friday a lady came in and bought 6 cards and my rack doesn't look so full again lol
I did get some driving test cards done though and only sold one :)

The cards were made using an assortment of materials including Sizzix die cuts (which I hardly ever use nowadays!) and the papers and image on the last card are from Funky Hand Craft The Year Away and Colour Me Happy cds.

It is so lovely to be back in the land of the living...our phone and internet went off on Thursday morning and after much searching for numbers and great expense (for ringing 0845 numbers from a mobile) we actually found out that it wasn't just our service which was out, it was the whole area!!!! I'm still wading through my 492 emails so if I owe you one, it will be with you soon.

Thanks for looking.
