Funky Friday

I thought the weather was supposed to change here at Scruff's Corner but it has piddled it down for most of the day. I hope it changes tomorrow as two of my couples are getting married and it's my mum's birthday....so come on Mr Sunshine, we need to see you!

Sorry about the lateness of my post but I have been in wedding stationery mode all day and have had people in and out all day collecting.

My card

I decided to make a joy fold card as I haven't made one for ages. I've used the free Funky Hand paper for this month with the remaining papers coming from my FH bit box and the images are precoloured digi stamps from the Happy Happy Birthday and Craft The Year Away cds with the addition of Sakura Glaze and Stardust pens.

Don't forget that there is still plenty of time to enter the Get Funky! challenge, in fact you could get the kids crafting and entering too. Please just remember our on little rule though, you must use a Funky Hand product to enter. Why not pop over and have a look at some of the fab projects my DT mates have posted.

I'm going to add this to Di's Snippet Challenge blog as it's made up from left overs. I meant to add a card earlier in the week and forgot all about it. Sorry Di.

Thanks for looking.

Oh well, I shall try again. I can't remember what the post was about so this one might be a bit short lol

Tickety Boo!

Kathy came up with another brilliant sketch for this month on The Sketch File, which she has called Tickety Boo. Why? you may ask, well see for yourself :)

 and here is my card
The papers, including the letters and numbers are from a brand new download from Funky Hand which are not yet released (the joys of being on a fabulous DT :)) and the only extra I added this time was a piece of pink ribbon.

We hope you will join in with our challenge and we look forward to seeing your challenge.

Thanks for looking.

Manic Monday

Why is it that I have only been back from Cornwall for 4 days yet not only do I feel knackered, it doesn't feel as though we've been away? It doesn't help with the rotten weather although we did manage to get out into the garden for the afternoon yesterday. I tidied and repotted and moved things all over the place and it looks nice now :) I need another couple of days so I can get on top of the weeding again but it doesn't look as though it might happen this week!! Oh well at least the house stays tidy :)

I'm in wedding stationery and DT sample mode today so can only give you a sneak peek before I blog my cards on my Kanban Thursday.

As always, these elements are absolutely stunning and they are all printed onto 300 gsm card stock which means they can be used outright as a card base and not just used for matting and layering.

I'd like to remind you that I'm the host for this month's Get Funky! challenge where my remit is to use large numbers as the focal point on your card/project but no images allowed, although you can use text. I hope you can find the time to join in with us this month and please make sure you hope over to the blog every couple of days as my DT mates add their inspirational projects. Anice has made us a fabulous freebie backing paper in case you don't own any Funky Hand  goodies, it can be found here

Kathy's Waffle Sketch File challenge is still running too. These sketches really help me out of a hole sometimes when Mr Mojo has gone walkies. All of the sketches, from when Kathy first started this blog, are available on the sidebar. It's great to be able to have a browse at times when you may need a little help :)

Thanks for dropping by and I will see you tomorrow (hopefully)

Just a number

It's my turn to host the Get Funky! challenge this month and my challenge for you, as the title says, is that I would like you to use a large number on your project. I don't want to see images of any kind please but text is fine and here is my sample

Now it looks as though my word is wonky but it isn't as I used a ruler to make sure my letters were straight.

So what did I use?
Well....
the large number is from The Blue Christmas Word Book
Papers are from Wishes and Kisses cd and the freebie paper from January
Letters used from Now that's Funky - lower case alphabets, the ABC sheet from Wishes and Kisses and a new download yet to be released (I coloured all of the letters with Promarkers so that they were all shades of blue
The sentiment was done on the lap top and the ribbon and brads came from my stock.

Please don't forget that you MUST use a Funky Hand product on your work and there is a download of your choice for the winner.

Good luck and thanks for reading.

Sympathy cards

I had a few Deepest Sympathy cards to make for one family last month and it's a task I sometimes struggle with. I don't suppose anyone really likes making sympathy cards but having to make seven different ones for the same family is quite difficult. Anyway, I managed it and I posted a couple of them last month so I thought I would upload the rest of them as I'm sick of seeing them on my desk top lol I can now catalogue them.

I used a selection of materials from Basic Grey, Funky Hand, Pink Petticoat and Ribbon Oasis.

I'm off now to make a start on my 'to do' list which seems to be growing again already.
Thanks for looking :)

Funky Friday

I'm playing a little bit of catch up now having just spent a wonderful relaxing week in Cornwall (although it seems a long time ago) and we just got back last night. We were very lucky with the weather. We only had one really sunny day but we only had the rain overnight on Friday so we managed to get out and about every day, except for Monday when I stayed in to catch up with my accounts (sad or what!) This was last years accounts though so you can see why I had to get them done lol.

Anyway, on with my Funky Friday card.

The papers, Hey There Baby and Hey Baby Girl, and the images which are both digistamps on the cd, are all taken from the new Funky Hand cd, Wishes and Kisses and I just added a little bow to the hot water bottle and some pink pearls to the corners.

Don't forget that the Get Funky! challenge finishes today and the new one starts on Sunday with me as the host for July. I look forward to having you join in with us.

Thanks for looking.
