Penny Black

Where have the days gone again? I can't believe it's the weekend again already, I think someone is pinching hours from me!! Just a quick post today as I'm in mid preparation for a wedding fayre on Sunday and another one next Sunday. I meant to add this yesterday but got completely sidetracked and forgot all about it so I have a couple of bits including a challenge card to show (don't faint lol).

Items used
Image Cheesecake Party 1665K
Papers and sentiments  Craftwork Cards
Large flower Sizzix Flower die #2
Pearls and lace from my stock
Cord and sparkly bead Beads Direct
Please excuse my non cake decorating skills! Fiona was happy with it though as she hadn't had one at home so I told her I would make her one but it was a last minute thing so I had to use what I had to hand. :)
Paper - Free Romance from the Dreams Come True cd from Funky Hand

Now for the challenges entered
Penny Black Saturday Pearls and Lace
Mojo Monday Sketch
Di's Snippet challenge

While I'm on with challenges, there is still plenty of time to enter the Get Funky! challenge which this month is hosted by Allison and the remit is

As always, Anice has designed a fabby freebie for those of you who would like to take part but don't have any Funky Hand products. Please show her some respect by joining in with the challenge if you download the paper, please don't just grab the paper and run :)

There is also still plenty of time to play along with Kathy's latest sketch at Kathy's Waffle Sketch File
Kathy's sketches are fabulous and they can be used in any way you see fit as long as we can still see the original sketch.

Whay not kill two birds with one stone and combine the two challenges. Don't forget to leave us a comment so we can drop by and leave a friendly comment on your work.

I'm now going to make a cup of coffee and start sticking diamantes on my new invitations.
Thanks for looking :)

Football crazy!

Hi, I hope everyone has had a lovely weekend. We whizzed down to Somerset on Saturday, met up with Hubby's Mum, brother and sister in law and sister for a fabulous meal and came home yesterday. I've just thought, I've spent approximately 8 hours on a train and over an hour on a bus!!
My son in law celebrated his 40th birthday on Friday. He is Liverpool FC daft so of course I have to make his cards in red and white (I keep them all in a folder on my lap top so I remember what I've made him in previous years lol,)
So anyway, onto the cards.....the first one is off hubby and myself.

and this one is from my kids.
All papers are from Pink Petticoat, (but from my scrap box
Image is from Bugaboo stamps a long time ago (I think)
Coloured with Promarkers
Numbers are hand cut using large wooden letters as templates
Sentiment is from Craftwork Cards
Die cut beer glass is cut using a Quickutz die (now Lifestyle Crafts
Ribbon is from my box
I now have to make a bracelet and 18th birthday card for DD2 to give to her friend tomorrow, fill some favour boxes and bring out guest name tags for the favours.
Back tomorrow, take care.

Fetch a Sketch

Do you know, I think I might finally be getting the gist of this blogging lark which means that I have finally managed to blog most days! I have also managed another challenge, this time it's Fetch a Sketch which is owned by Jenny and Ruth, DT mates from Funky Hand.

I've used papers from Happy Happy birthday cd by Funky Hand which I had left over from another project.
Thanks for looking.

Prints Charming!!

The new challenge over on the DCM blog yesterday was:

Now let us see how inventive you can be with my (Lythan's) dare. I just love, love, love patterned paper so this week I dare you to join me in........Patterned Paper Passion..........I want to see 3 different patterned papers on your card. And to be extra daring, why not see if you can use 3 different lines of paper!
I'm also entering this card in the Friday Sketchers challenge this week as I used their sketch.
The three papers I used are Pink Petticoat Little Big Dots, Papermania Scrumptious and an off cut of a Daisy D paper but I don't know which one. The image is from the Lola and Lilli cd from Pink Petticoat too. I chose this one with the ipod as DH is Dj'ing at an 18th birthday party tonight and thought it was quite appropriate. I just coloured her with Promarkers. The border is made using a Martha Stewart punch and the brads are Doodlebug.
