My poor desk

Well it's Wednesday again and I have absolutely nothing on my desk at all to show over at What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday this week. I have been holed up on the settee for three days and I feel dreadful. I've got this man flu bug that's going round and as well as having no energy at all, my ribs are killing me from coughing :(
So onto my poor desk

I had several people ask me about the eBosser last week but I thought I would save my reply till this week and make a total muppet of myself in public. When trying to sort out my stuck die in my poorly ebosser what do you think was the one thing I didn't check? Yes, you guessed it, the plug!!! I had put a big box on top of the plug and hadn't noticed that it had knocked the switch to off. So the answer to the question quite a few people wanted to know is yes....the ebosser works a dream.

In reply to Julia's question......I really like the ebosser Julia and find it very convenient to have on the side of my desk, it's so easy just to load a die into the machine and carry on with what you were doing. It also doesn't take up very much space unlike the Big Shot Pro, which I was saving up for. I won't get rid of my Big Shot because I sometimes need a lot of more than one die cut for my wedding stationery and my mum takes it home with her to cut some for me but I still have a cutter too. I will say though that although it has a carry handle I wouldn't like to carry it very far, it's blooming heavy.

I'm going back to sleep now but will be up tomorrow as I have work to catch up on.

Take care and thanks for dropping by. :)

What's on yours?

Good morning world! It is early but I have loads to do so I thought I would ease myself into my day gently by posting my desk. Not literally as it would take too long to empty and wrap up but today is What's on your workdesk Wednesday #193 (organised by Julia, boss lady of the Stamping Ground blog) so here are my photos :)

As you will see, I managed to get the side of my desk cleared to house the Ebosser and as you will also see, the boxes to make my Kanban DT samples are on the floor next to my desk! I have some wedding invitation samples to make today, there are copies of them on the Ebosser but first I need to try and get said machine working. I used it on Saturday after getting my plates stuck and getting them out again with a mallet (!) as advised, I used it on Monday and it worked fine. I went to use it yesterday with my new box die, which you can see on the picture below, and..............zilch so then it was a quick run through everything I could think of but still nothing so it was out with the trusty Big Shot.
This is my WIP basket.....blank cards with printed backs ready to make into cards, stray card bags, finished cards and anything else that ends up on my desk but doesn't have a home.

Right I'm off to find my instructions of how to bully the Ebosser into working, back soon :)

TFL x

PS the car ISN'T on  my desk lol

WOYWW

Another week has passed in the blink of an eye so no one can have listened when I asked for 2013 to pass a little slower than 2012!! :) However, I have now revised my working week and my new timetable will begin on Sunday (even though I don't work Sunday) which is the start of my week.

Anyway, you are here to look at my messy desk (again!) and boy, you won't be dissappointed lol. See what I mean

The space on the far right of my desk is in the process of being cleared, believe it or not, in order to house my Ebosser as there is nowhere else for it to go where I have access to it all the time. I think this is a lot to do with why I haven't got to grips with my Craft Robo as I have to put it away all the time. :(
There you are, I told you it was messy.

If you think I should be embarrassed by the state of my desk and want to know why I'm not and am blatantly showing it for all the world to see then you will need to know that it is the fault of Julia who runs the Stamping Ground blog as she actively encourages it. Pop over to Julia's blog and you will also be able to go on a world tour looking at messy desks as well as some not so messy and even some pristine desks, but I bet there won't be many of those.

Happy travelling and I hope you come back and visit me some time :)
Bye for now
