Allsorts

Challenge #63 on the Allsorts blog sees Fleur choosing the challenge ...."This week it's me Fleur to pick & I'd like to see Dressing up! It could be fancy dress, a dress for a special event or even a classy pair of shoes - It's entirely up to you, as long as we can see a dressing up theme we'll be happy!"
The sketch I used is from the Passion For Promarkers challenge this week
Image - Dress Up Maggie (Funky Kits)
Papers - Making Cards mag freebies

Martha Stewart punch
Prima and ribbon flowers
Doodlebug brads
Sentiment - Papermania rub on

Thanks for looking :)

Friday Sketchers

on Wednesday! And yes, I've made a challenge card that isn't for any of my DT work, yay me :) It seems ages since I took part in a challenge but unfortunately, earning the pennies comes first. Any how, I did manage this card yesterday for both Friday Sketchers and Passion For Promarkers (this has to me my favourite challenge :))
While the sketch is self explanatory, the Promarkers challenge states
"Our challenge this week is a theme and has been chosen by Caryn. She has given us the theme of ‘back to nature’, it’s entirely up to you how you interpret this i.e. colour scheme, image etc. You can use any colour promarkers this week but you must follow the theme to be entered into the prize draw"

and so onto my card
I really like the colours on this card so have used muted colours for the lovely image from Pink Cat Studio
I've had the stamp for a long time now and still like it (which can't be said for a lot of my stamps lol) The gorgeous earthy paper is from the 6" x 6" Wild Asparagus pad by My Mind's Eye -still my favourite papers at the mo.

I've used "back to nature elements" on this card too. These are my lovely sunflower image by DewDrop Digiz
and the muted earthy colours in the My Mind's Eye papers and although I'm too late to submit it for the challenge I wanted to show it cos I like it :).

Sunny Sunday

What started out as a miserable, wet day turned out to be lovely and warm.

Something woke me up at 7.30 this morning (I thought it was the door bell but after I'd woken up properly I realised it sounded nothing like our bell!!) but I was half way down stairs before I realised what time it was! I decided to stay up then and get some work done while it was quiet. I could have done some of the i***ing mountain..................but hey, crafting is better LOL

So what have I been up to today? Well, I've made a really good start on my 'list' as you will see further down this post. I can't show all my cards as three of them are for forum birthdays. However, here we go but first I will amend my list as there were a couple of things I forgot to add last night!

'To do' list
cards for Debbi
necklace for Rosie started
birthday card for niece done
wedding card done
5 cards for September birthdays 3 done
brother's scrapbook
seating plan and table names (just waiting for details from bride and groom)
prepare for a wedding open day on 6th September
civil partnership card done
2 Greek thank you cards done
6 thank you cards for my box
6 baby boy cards for my box
Niece's birthday card
Image and papers are both Pink Petticoat and flowers are Prima.

Wedding card
The image on this card is from Joanna Sheen's Victorian Romance cd and has been printed onto vellum.
Civil partnership card
I made this card using the template from Friday Sketchers Sketch number 16

Spotty paper is Pink Petticoat again, I bought the flowers at a craft show a couple of months ago and the stamped image is by Creative Expressions, sentiment was printed on the pc and crystals are from my stash.

Greek thank you cards

The vase is an unmounted stamp I've had for a long time, the flowers are all Primas, the Ruffles are from Craftwork Cards, pearls are Papermania and the crystals and organza ribbon are from my stash.

So now my 'to do list' looks like this :)

cards for Debbi started

necklace for Rosie started

5 cards for September birthdays 3 done (the other two are for DD and DH)

brother's scrapbook started

seating plan and table names (just waiting for details from bride and groom)

prepare for a wedding open day on 6th September

6 thank you cards for my box

6 baby boy cards for my box

I also managed to get an hour in the garden this afternoon. It was looking lovely before we went away but it is such a mess all of a sudden. DH got the grass cut front and back and I decided to chop, sorry , prune back the Passion Flower (which covers two sheds!), the rose (which covers the arbour and half of the bottom of the gards) and the Jasmine which has taken over the other half :) Alan Titchmarsh would have a fit if he saw me with my secateurs LOL I'm hoping to get out tomorrow and start weeding the borders, in between working and after taking DD to town in the morning for her new school uniform.

Thanks for reading, back soon. xx
