So, the challenge on the PfP blog this week is “in the garden - i.e. things you may see in the garden - flowers, vegetables or even a garden shed, it’s entirely up to you, as long as you colour your image with promarkers you will be in with a chance of winning our prize."

I haven't done a Daring Cardmakers challenge for a while so decided to combine last week and this week to make my brother's birthday card for next week :) Last week Jo's challenge was "Tartan It Up! I would like you to use some sort of tartan on your cards, fabric, ribbon, paper, even a piece of an old tartan rug(!)etc."

and this week it's "we'd like to see some folds on your cards this week. Fold the whole card, fold some paper, fold some ribbon. Do some origami, teabag folding or just fold over a corner of your paper to reveal the other side. As long as there's some sort of folding used as a feature of your card then it counts. Any subject, any theme, any reason."

I decided to make a Joy Fold card as I haven't made one for a long time (they look lovely but are difficult to photograph.....well that's my excuse for the pants photos LOL)

and finally for now..............look what's just arrived on my doorstep all done up in a lovely white organza bag. They were ordered at 3 pm yesterday from Tracy at Creative Treasures and arrived about an hour ago.........

Now that's what I call perfect service, thank you Tracy they are gorgeous.

Mojo Monday and Passion For Promarkers :) I needed to make a couple of quick 'grown up' birthday cards and knew roughly what I wanted to do so it was great when I checked both challenges and realised that I could do them both with the one card.
Right onto this week’s challenge, which has been chosen by Caryn. She would like to see your ‘girly and glittery’ creations but you can use any colour promarkers (great for all you beginners who are still building up your stash).

Late again!

........with the challenge from Papertake Weekly (so what's new, I hear you cry LOL) Well anyway, it's done now. I was also having a mooch around whilst waiting for the mojo to kick in (I think it is going into holiday mode, but it's way too early :)) and I came across the Dutch Dare challenge blog which I had seen on a couple of blogs but never thought to investigate! They have a great sketch this week so I decided to use it with the Papertake challenge of "My Favourite Things" My absolute favouritist thing(s) at the moment are the new Bloom and Grow papers from My Minds Eye.......I just lurve them :)

It's the weekend!

If anyone finds the last few days of my week could you please return them? They passed me by in a blur of work and appointments! I even have a bride and groom coming this morning as I couldn't fit them in during the week.

I have managed some challenges though as I needed some Father's Day cards plus a couple of others.

I did the last two sketch challenges on ICS together LOL

This next card is also for the Colour Create challenge this week which is to choose ANY THREE of the following colours; Strawberry, Raspberry, Kiwi, Tangerine and Blackberry. And now for the optional extra...... we're staying with the fruit theme for this one, so we would like you to incorporate fruits somewhere into your design, be it the papers, the image, the embellishments or the sentiment.
I've used strawberry, tangering and kiwi although my green is a bit darker than a kiwi fruit, it isn't as dark as it looks here!

Some of the cards I'm showing at the mo seem to have been on my desk top for ages as I haven't been very active in these parts recently!! I'm definitely suffering from withdrawal symptoms from blog hopping and forum visiting. I say that as though I'm some sort of internet junkie...........I only visit Crafts By Carolyn LOL

I made this card for my best friend's birthday, which was last Tuesday!

How cool is this? The first card here for the June CardMaps is mine and I am chuffed to little mint balls :)) It was the first time that I cut into my new 'Grow' papers from My Minds Eye and I used the card to send to a special lady on her birthday last month.

I shall be back with a picture of the actual card later.

Kathy's Waffle

Kathy posted the new sketch a little while ago but I only managed to get it done last night as I put the wedding stationery to one side for a couple of hours and had a play :)

I used my lovely Grow papers from the Bloom and Grow collection by My Mind's Eye along with the matching Bazzill card. The flowers are Prima and everything else is from my stash. Letters are Quickutz Olivia which have been cut from the same paper.
