Allsorts challenge

I was just browsing through the Allsorts week #4 challenge the other day and noticed the following paragraph

"We cant wait to see your entries this week and don't forget any type of crafter can enter Allsorts challenges whether your craft is knitting, crocheting, crossstitching, dressmaking, altered art , painting or papercrafting we would love to see your creations"

I wouldn't have thought about entering anything but a paper craft project until I saw that so without further ado here's one I finished on Tuesday evening :) So I am now going to enter it into the Allsorts week  4 challenge.

It's to be sent off to the Kids Company, along with several other, within the next few days and as soon as I get chance to photograph and update them, they will be on the Wrap Up A Kiddie 2012 page at the top of my blog.

Thanks for looking :)

Wrap Up A Kiddie

Human kindness strikes again! I put a post on my local Freecycle group to ask if anyone wanted to knit for me for the Wrap Up A Kiddie or if anyone had any wool they didn't want. Pics can now be seen on my new pages.

Articles for the 'Kiddies' finished this week, an Aran knitted by me for a special little boy

baby cardi and hat knitted by my mum for a baby girl who lives with the above mentioned little boy

and finally for now, two cardis made for me by a friend's mum .......thanks Rita :)

How funky are they? :)

Thanks for looking. I'm keeping this page at the top till I can figure if I can add other pages to my blog so for newer posts please scroll down. xx

DewDrop Digiz

I've made another couple of cards today with some new digiz from Nikki at DewDrop Craftz The newly released bee image can be found here

and the bride and groom will be released shortly

I also managed a couple more hat and scarf sets this week (well 8 actually!) so they were sent down to the Kids Co earlier this week :)
There are actually four pink and four green, I just couldn't lay them out well enough to take a picture. I am becoming more passionate about this charity by the day and knowing that we can make a small difference in a child's life gives me a good feeling. I am still looking for knitters who can knit to a decent standard (sorry to be picky) and for donations of wool, even just the odd ball can help. Unfortunately I won't be able to pay the knitters but I can supply some wool and a pattern so all you will need is time and the needles. Once the OWOH challenge has finished on Monday I will be making this post or a similar one a sticky at the top of my blog.

Take care and thanks for looking.

and there's more

As well as the stationery and sample orders, and DT work, the following were amongst my crafty makes / commissions for the Kid's Co

I didn't make these, I bought them from Asda!

I already had most of these knitted up and just had to do a couple of pairs of bootees and stitch them up. There will be a lot more in the coming months.

The box was commissioned for a little boy's first birthday who's dad is a Liverpool FC supporter, hence the red and white :)

I've entered my box in a new blog challenge called Just Cute Bears. All the challenge makes must feature a bear so as mine has one on the front I thought it was appropriate :)
Back later x

Hats and scarves

are all finished packed and ready for the nice courier man to collect them in the morning and they should have them within the next 48 hours. :)

I managed 28 sets in all so hopefully they will keep a few little mites a bit warmer from here on in.
