My new baby

I'm sorry I have been such a bad blogger and DT team mate just lately but I am about to show you the reason why :)

I picked up the shop keys on Saturday 16th October (although I spent the previous month planning and making stock) and we opened on the evening of 21st October! It was blooming hard work but we finally managed it. I meant to take before photos but forgot as we were so busy. I did take a couple of photos two days before we opened and this is what it looked like!

and this is now :)

The rest of the photos (assuming you are not bored rigid already lol) are on my facebook page

I am working totally from the shop now and seeing my wedding couples there too. It is lovely to have all the space after cramming people into my craft room for the last 6 years! I am selling most things wedding as I always have done from my web site (Party Nights Creations) and my cards and jewellery. I have also extended the range of costume jewellery and am now selling and hiring flowers and table decorations made by my very clever mum :) If you are in the area and want to come for a nosey then please feel free.

I think I am now back on track and aim to spend today catching up with my DT work, commenting etc.
Back soon and thanks for looking.

ICS

#s 88 and 89! Both last week and this week were sponsored by Fresh Brewed Designs who are offering three digi images of your choice from their shop, to the winner.

Now I know that I have been a little bit absent for the last couple of weeks and I do have a good reason (which I will explain very soon) but I think I am just about back on track so hopefully everything will soon be trundling along as normal (or not lol). So onto the cards

Images by Sally-Ann at The Digi Stamp Boutique and the papers are by Papermania.

Papers by The English Paper Company, stamp by Docrafts (I think) and the flowers are Prima.

Thanks for looking and I promise I will be back asap so watch this space. Now I really must go and make my son's birthday cards as it is his birthday tomorrow! ;)

Wedding cards

Good morning all, after a gloriously warm and sunny Sunday we have returned to a cold and murky Monday! I did a wedding fayre yesterday so was glad that the weather was nice as it always brings out more couples than when it rains (or snows as it did the last time I was at that particular venue :))

The following cards were made for hubs to take to work, the first one was from last weekend but the other two were for Saturday just gone. Please excuse the awful photos but I took them quickly with my phone as my camera was up at the hotel.

images - Pink Petticoat and Stampendous
Papers - Pink Petticoat
sentiments - Pink Petticoat and lap top

Prima and ribbon flowers
Nesties
Martha Stewart punches
ribbons and gems are from stock

Baby album

Another commission, this time for a little boy who was born at the weekend but was actually two weeks late! The album was collected on Monday.
Everything used in the making of the album is from my stock.
I now need to go and make wedding cards for hubby for this weekend so I will try to get some challenges in (catchup should be my middle name lol) Back later.

Wedding jewellery

It's been another busy week here in 'The Corner' but yesterday was a 'chilled' sort of day. Why? well I sat making jewellery all day, which I find very relaxing. The following pieces have all been ordered this week. I made two each of the necklace and earring sets and one each of the bracelet and tiara.

All the jewellery has been made with Swarovski crystals (and pearls where required.)

Thanks for looking :)

Penny Black...

@ Allsorts have set the challenge for this month as

Punch away
With such fabulous punches available now, it's the perfect chance to get them working. It can be as simple as a single punched element or go really wild, all we ask is that we can see some punching on your work.

(and yes, I am very late but I have made my second C******** card!)  I also used the sketch from Sketch Saturday

Papers are downloads from Lili of the Valley
the image is by Penny Black coloured with Promarkers
Punched border using a MS punch
Snowflakes are glitter card from stock using a Marianne Design die set

More Wedding Cards

More wedding cards for DH and I'm back to using stuff from stock instead of new....I really need to make a

conscious effort to use things up if only to free up some drawer space for other stuff :)

Images are all from Pink Petticoat and I've used assorted papers, ribbon, glitter and Glossy Accents.

I thought I had scheduled this post and the last one but when I went to write today's post I realised that I had saved them as draft for some silly reason!  What a numpty lol

Thanks for looking.

Inspirational?

.....you bet! Each week Dawn brings us a really great sketch for us to work our magic on and as I have some fabulous team mates (from all over the globe!) there is really good range of inspiration. This week is no exception, take a hop round their blogs and see what you think, links to their blogs are on my side bar.

The image (from Hambo stamps ) is coloured with Promarkers, the striped paper is from Pink Petticoat but not sure about the other one, ric rac and charm from my stock.

We would love it if you could come and play with us and let us take a look at your work.

Thanks for looking and also for the lovely comments you leave.

Wedding jewellery

I had some wedding jewellery ordered from the wedding fayre last Sunday and this is the sample I made to show the bride.

If she likes it I have two of them to make. It's made using 5mm Swarovski AB crystals and gold bugle beads and it is really sparkly! I love working with these crystals.

I also had a tiara ordered (from the lady who ordered the never ending card below) and this is what evolved from her description :)

Again, the picture doesn't pick it up but it is really sparkly as I've used 4mm AB crystals and pearls, both by Swarovski.

And last but not least, I made DH a card to take to work with him last weekend and have another three to make for this weekend. It's a good job I enjoy my work lol

My usual Pink Petticoat downloads, gems and ribbon.

I'm off to start cutting place cards now so make be back later.

Never ending card

I had my first commission for one of these last week as a wedding card. I've wanted to make one for ages and had messed about with pieces of paper till I got it up to an 8 x 8" card size and this is the result!

I really wish I could take straight photos :)

I used: Woodware stamps, Promarkers, Lily stamp (but I don't know who it's by), Martha Stewart corner punch and the assorted die cuts, charms, ribbons are from my stock.

The same lady also ordered some signs for her shoe shop so as well as making refund and opening hours signs I made these

Aren't they cute?!

Thanks for looking :)
