Wedding invitations

These last two weeks have flown past as I've been up to my neck in wedding stationery. I just love it that so many people let me share one of the most important days of their lives! Today I have orders which have been delivered over the last week or so to show, a total of more than 170 invitations and about 80 reply cards. You'll have to excuse the scribble on them, I couldn't figure out how to blur out the details in Photoshop lol

and the bridesmaid tiaras I made on Thursday for my friend's wedding in less than two weeks (13 days Caren :))

Not only have I made her stationery and tiaras but I'm also decorating her venue as a total surprise to them both and I'm really looking forward to it. It's lovely to be able to use the wedding planning course DH paid so much for! Photos will follow after the 13th :)

Right, now I'm going to finish the place cards and make some DT cards. Thanks for looking.

Wrap Up A Kiddie

Human kindness strikes again! I put a post on my local Freecycle group to ask if anyone wanted to knit for me for the Wrap Up A Kiddie or if anyone had any wool they didn't want. Pics can now be seen on my new pages.

Articles for the 'Kiddies' finished this week, an Aran knitted by me for a special little boy

baby cardi and hat knitted by my mum for a baby girl who lives with the above mentioned little boy

and finally for now, two cardis made for me by a friend's mum .......thanks Rita :)

How funky are they? :)

Thanks for looking. I'm keeping this page at the top till I can figure if I can add other pages to my blog so for newer posts please scroll down. xx

One world, one heart

I got my two winner's gifts off at the beginning of last week and am pleased to say that Lorraine has received hers. Lisa is on holiday at the mo so hopefully it will be waiting for her when she gets back. I made a couple of small cards too to say thanks for entering my give away. I was unlucky again this year and didn't win anything :)

I can't remember which card I sent with which earrings! The card above was made using punched flowers, a handmade flower and rub ons.

The card on the right was made with a butterfly from The Digi Stamp Boutique, rub on sentiment, gems, ribbons and nestabilities.

Thanks for looking.

Inspirational

Card Sketches #55 is up and yet again Dawn has come up trumps :) This week we are sponsored by (click the picture to take you through to the web site)

Just take a look at their web site, they have some fabulous digi stamps.........I want to place an order with them and at the moment I'm trying to narrow my choice of image from all of them down to a couple...not easy :)
My image was coloured with Promarkers. I glittered the cloud with Glamour Dust (which you can't see on the image). I paper pieced the sleep suit, butterfly and the patchwork shapes to match the Making Memories gingham paper-from the Kate 6x6 pad, the ribbons are from my stash and the sentiment was done on the pc.

Take a look at the DT cards, as the title says, they are definitely "Inspirational" and we would love it if you joined us this week, plus you have the chance to win five images from the Sew Many Cards shop - how cool is that :)

Thanks for looking, enjoy your day.

Goodbye, farewell!

The following card has been made for the final DewDrop Craftz challenge. Nikki has decided to pull the challenges as we weren't getting many entrants. I can understand it from both sides as I know that time is a great issue.......or lack of it. I have only had time this week to take part in one of my usual challenges as I'm really busy with stationery orders. The only cards I've made are my DT cards and I used the Mojo Monday sketch for this one! Details can be seen on the Challenge me blog.
Now onto my card....
The challenge this week was 'time' to be interpreted as you wish. I chose to make mine 'Party time'
and used one of the bee images by Tasha

The bee is coloured with Sakura Glaze pens and he has a lovely sheen to him which the camera hasn't picked up. The image and freebie farame are both from DewDrop, the papers are left from other projects and I was very brave and hand wrote the greeting (only because I cut my circles and then realised that I didn't have the rub on I wanted!

Other news from DewDrop is the new Cougar which is now in stock (along with some wonderful storage trolleys. I mentioned it the other day but didn't have a piccie of it...........well now I have :)

I have tried to get a sample to use for my DT cards but Nikki just isn't having any lol

Thanks for looking in and I really hope you can us in our last challenge.

Download heaven!

What a grim old morning here in Scruff's Corner......it's been raing since about 6.30 am and it is just in the process of morphing itself into the white stuff.  We don't need any more, we have had our fair share for this year (although DD thinks it's great cos she gets to wear her wellies......not bad at 16 but they are black with pink love hearts all over thm :)
The following cards were made over the weekend for DH to take to work and as you will see, I owe Liz from Pink Petticoat a huge thank you as most of the cards I do for DH are made with her images :)  so here goes

I turned the sketch on it's side for tis card. Papers are Pink Petticoat and everything else is from my stash.
Another PP image (which is actually in the Valentine pack!), the bottom paper is Stampin Up and I think the top paper is from HOTP, Letraset rub on and SA pearls complete the card.

For the last three cards I've used stuff which was on my desk. I am deserately trying to use up stuff that has been around for a while (by that I mean a long time :)) This is also the only time I use C6 cards, apart from wedding thank you cards, and I have built up a vast stash of them too. I've got my business head on at the mo so I need to 'stream line' my stash so I can justify buying more lol You would'nt believe how much paper is in my oddments draw!

I shall be back later with my ICS card but am now off to get dressed.

OWOH Winners

The lucky winners of my candy this year have been chosen and they are..................

and

if you would both like to email me (through the link on my sidebar) your details I can get them in the post for you.

One world, one heart

It's that time of year again where the world wide blog hop/giveaway is underway. It doesn't seem five minutes since I took part last year!

So what am I giving away this year? Just take a look at these.....
I love these earrings! They are made using Swarovski pearls and crystals and gold Matsuno seed beads topped off with gold coloured ear wires. I will also offer another pair of the same but with sterling silver ear wires so there will be two lucky winners. So what do you have to do to enter? Just leave me a comment and state whether you would like the gold coloured or silver earrings and don't forget to leave me a way of contacting you!
The draw for the two winners will take place on 15th February.
I look forward to meeting you.......good luck!

Sir Stampalot

Brenda at Floral Fantasies is hosting a blog hop and challenge which is sponsored (with the most amazing prizes) by Sir Stampalot and here is the remit
The Challenge and blog hop will run for two weeks closing at midnight GMT on 13th February 2010. The challenge theme is:
"MOVING"
Your project can be a card, box, scrapbook l/o, whatever you choose and the theme is open to interpretation, moving home, kinetic card, vehicle or as simple as a dangling charm as long as it represents movement.

Just a few rules you need to follow for your creation to be included in the big draw:

1) Your project must be linked to Mr Linky at the bottom of this post.

2) You must include a link to this post and Sir Stampalot in your entry post on your own blog.

3) You may enter more than once, proving second or subsequent entries are a different type of project (i.e a card and a scrapbook l/o, not two cards). You may combine with other challenges, but we ask that you do not back-link to old posts.
I've never done a blog hop before so I thought I would give it a go :) and here is my kinetic card
Image is Ian (The Greeting Farm) coloured with Promarkers
papers are all K & Co
rub on is Papermania
everything else is from my stash
I'm off now to see what the blog hop entails, see you later.

DewDrop Digiz

I've made another couple of cards today with some new digiz from Nikki at DewDrop Craftz The newly released bee image can be found here

and the bride and groom will be released shortly

I also managed a couple more hat and scarf sets this week (well 8 actually!) so they were sent down to the Kids Co earlier this week :)
There are actually four pink and four green, I just couldn't lay them out well enough to take a picture. I am becoming more passionate about this charity by the day and knowing that we can make a small difference in a child's life gives me a good feeling. I am still looking for knitters who can knit to a decent standard (sorry to be picky) and for donations of wool, even just the odd ball can help. Unfortunately I won't be able to pay the knitters but I can supply some wool and a pattern so all you will need is time and the needles. Once the OWOH challenge has finished on Monday I will be making this post or a similar one a sticky at the top of my blog.

Take care and thanks for looking.

Soggy Sunday

What a blooming miserable day it is here at Scruff's Corner. We have had that really fine drizzle (wet rain that soaks you through lol) since yesterday lunch time and it's awful. Anyway, we are going over to my mum and dad's for lunch so it's not all bad :)
My first card fits two challenges as one is a sketch and the other is a colour challenge. The first one is the sketch which is from Kathy's Sketch File (that woman can be so cutting if she doesn't get what she wants lol) and the other is Colour Create. The colour combination this week is soft pink, soft blue, white and silver) and this is what I came up with
Flower paper - K & Co
pink and white striped paper - Craftwork Cards
sentiment - The Cutting Cafe
MS punch
everything else from stash

The second card I made yesterday was made using a Pink Elephant sketch but I don't know when it's from because I can't find it again on their blog!
papers - K & Co, Making Memories
Promarkers
ribbon - Ribbon Oasis
sentiment - Craftwork Cards
pearls from stash
