My crafty week

As well as working on an assortment of DT cards this week I have manage to take a couple of wedding orders, finish one off for tomorrow and make a couple of samples which had been requested. I've also been making for the shop and trying to sort out and utilise my shop storage better. When I moved a lot of stock from here all we did was  take everything round in the relevent drawers and units and put them in place. I need to try to set aside some time to sort all my stuff out and chuck away what isn't going to get used.....I really could do with a 36 hour day lol

So onto more makes for this week

Thanks for looking :)

Sketch Saturday

And another post, a bit like last week really with the catch up posts only this week I've managed to squeeze these in now instead of waiting till the end of the week.

Just look at this sweet little teddy, isn't he gorgeous? He is a freebie from HERE Hop over and take a look at the lady's blog, her work is beautiful and she has some lovely free images.

Friday Sketchers

times two!!! I have finally got round to posting last week's sketch card too. lol

The image is another we had been sent us to work with by DZ Doodles, coloured with Promarkers. Papers are from Craftwork Cards, My Mind's Eye and Animal Antics by First Edition Papers. All the gems etc are from my stash. I've left the sentiment off this card as I think it can be used for numerous occasions and I can add a greeting at the POS.

Another card with no sentiment using assorted papers from my oddments box, Prima flowers and gems, pretty simple really :)

ICS Sketch #99

Our lovely sponsor this week is DZ Doodles. Not only is Diane (the owner) sponsoring our prize of 3 Free Digi images of their choice  to the winner this week, but she also sponsored our Designers with some images as well. The sketch this week is another by the super talented Stacey.

Image - DZ Doodles
Paper - Craftwork Cards
Sentiments - Pink Petticoat
Sakura Stardust pen
Nesties
MS punch
Everything else from my stock.

Crafty assortment

...which covers the rest of my makes this week.

The teddy card was a commission for a lady who owns one of the shops near me....she came in at about 12 o'clock for a 1st birthday card making but it had to be in the post before 2....we aim to please and I managed it and she liked it.

I bought some of the Craftwork Cards goody bags before Christmas when they were on special offer at £5.00 each, what a bargain. Their stuff is such good quality and I find it really lovely to work with. Everything on the above cards came from the kits.
Image -  Lili of the Valley,
spotty paper - Funky Hand
Card Candy - Craftwork Cards
Sentiment - Papermania

I am entering the next card into the Allsorts challenge who are looking for male inspired cards.
Topper - Lili of the Valley (see above)
Papers - Making Cards magazine freebie
Sentiments - Papermania and Craftwork Cards

The above cards were both made using
Toppers - Lili of the Valley
Papers (I can't remember but I will have a look when I get to work on Monday and let you know:))
Sentiments and Card Candy - Craftwork Cards
Stickles glitter glue
Glossy accents

Thanks for looking

Valentine cards

I thought I'd made loads of cards this week but judging by the photos it doesn't look as though I have! I then remembered that I had made five DT cards for Anice for the launch of the new cd Craft The Year Away on 30th January. This one is definitely worth adding to your collection as it is just fab!! :)

I got some freebie papers from a magazine a while back and decided to use some for a couple of Valenting cards for the shop. It's another kit from Nitwit Collections (of which I am getting quite a collection :))

I need to make some more on Monday as I have a basket in my cousin's hairdressers and she hasn't got any yet!!
So that brings us to the end of round one.....more to follow.

Funky Hand News

Just like buses, I don't blog for a couple of days and then three come along at once!!

So what is the news I hear you ask :)

As well as having five new team members, the Funky Hand Design Team Challenge Blog Get Funky! has been changed from the monthly start date of the 1st of each month to the Funky 15th! Another change which has made over there is that we are going to be updating the blog all month long with new inspiration cards from different Design Team members and there will be tutorials, hints and tips thrown in all month long as well..all the more reason to call back for some Get Funky! fun during the month..

And finally (as if there isn't enough news already) take a look over at the web site and have a look at all the new additions and the release of the first Funky Hand stamps - Our Betty! Our Betty clear stamps are permanently clear and non-yellowing with a lovely deep cut outline.

Isn't she just fab? Keep an eye on the web site and the blogs for inspiration ....I'm sure we are going to see a lot of our Betty in the future.

Hello baby

....well it will be soon as the little chap who the pram was ordered for is overdue. Isn't that typical of a male to make everyone wait for him!! lol I love making the pram, I have one on display in the shop and everyone loves it.

I used Prima flowers, Card Candy from Craftwork Cards and everything else is from my stock.

So cute!

i bought a couple of sets of the image toppers from LOTV before Christmas just to see what they looked like and they are just so adorable that I will definitely be buying the stamps. If you haven't used the cute squares before then next time you order from LOTV I would order a pack.....they are great for quick, last minute cards. All I've done with mine is add stickles and a little bit of shading in places and that's it.

The next card was commissioned last week for a couple who have just got engaged and they want a swan theme for the wedding, hence the image.
The last card here was made for a dear forum friend who has been ill this week. the card has been received so I can now post it on here.
The daisy image is from Cornish Heritage Farm in the States who are sadly no more.

Enjoy your Sunday and thanks for looking.

Wedding cards

More batch making cards after DH ran out again, I make him a few at a time and then forget about them instead of doing a couple a week. lol Anyway, here are the latest ones(sorry about the first picture - I think it was taken on my phone!)

I've used an assortment of paper, ribbon etc from my stock and would like to say a huge 'thank you' again to Liz from Pink Petticoat for making my life so much easier with her funky images!

I will be back this evening with the rest of the cards this week.
Thanks for looking.

Funky Hand

I don't know if anyone has noticed my super new badge on my side bar but I got the most brilliant news on Sunday afternoon......I made the Funky Hand DT :) and to say I'm pleased is an understatement!! I wasn't going to apply as I only came across the DT shout out on Friday (and got in just before it closed) and I had told myself not to apply to any more because I kept getting knocked back (which is understandable when you see all the talent out there :)).....but anyway, I did apply and was chosen and I am thrilled (have I already said that? LOL)

Thank you so much Anice, for choosing me and DT ladies, I am really looking forward to working with you all :)

Sir Stampalot

The theme for the Sir Stampalot challenge this month is "A Winters Tale" and guess which numpty went and signed up to Mr Linky but forgot to upload her card (sorry Brenda :))

Anyway, I just had to use this gorgeous little snowperson.

I bought the decoupage sheets just before Christmas but had made all of my 'little ones' Christmas cards so thought I would use it for the challenge. I went and bought the papers to go with the sheets from Nitwit Collections and will get the rest of the kit too. They have some fabulous papers etc on the web site, I could spend a fortune! The background paper and the frame are from Craftwork Cards and the sentiment is from Pink Petticoat.

Thanks for looking.
