Tis snowing

...so what have I been making today?

Please excuse the pants photos, the light in the shop today has been dire. I will try to take some decent ones tomorrow and swap them. These photos were also taken before I added the cords.

I also made the following bracelet which was commissioned.

It's a really lovely shade of teal/turquoise and the findings are all sterling silver.

I took the folloing photo about half an hour ago and it's still blooming snowing!
Stay safe and warm. xx

New sponsor

This week over on the Inspirational Card Sketches blog we are being sponsored by My Creative Classroom. Sketch #93 is another of our very talented Stacy's

The sentiment is from a DCWV Quote Stack that I have had for years, I think the patterned paper is from a 6 x 6" pad by Basic Grey, punches, die cuts, decorative scissors and a gem complete the card.

Wanna play? Come on then :)

Brrrrrr

It's still blooming snowing here but I suppose we should be grateful that at least we only have inches to measure rather than feet!! (gosh that gives my age away lol) It was freezing in the shop today, in fact I was so cold I came home at 2pm! Not something I would normally think of doing but I couldn't warm up and I had made myself a bowl of porridge :). The heating had been switched off since I left on Saturday afternoon so the place had got really cold. I left it on when I came home today so it should be all warm and toasty when I get there in the morning. I saw two people all day....a lady who came to bring me some hats and gloves for the Kids Co and the courier who came for their parcel.

Not much to show now but I have updated the Wrap Up A Kiddie donations page as promised.

Both cards were made with free papers and images from Making Cards magazine and a free 6 x 6" paper pad which I got months ago. i just added some mirri card and some glitter glue to finish them off, oh and a couple of sentiments from Craftwork Cards.

Back tomorrow with some new jewellery. I need to get a wiggle on tomorrow as I have a jewellery party at the shop on Wednesday evening.

Just out of interest...does anyone use the Stick-It tape by Docrafts? I used some to make a card yesterday and it seemed to be fine and I left the card laid down on my desk. When I came in later on the topper and mats had started to lift. I stuck them back down but the same thing has happened again only this time more has lifted. I just thought I would ask on here before I went and made my complaint!! I had a problem earlier this year with some clear 3d squares only they kept sliding off the card...not a happy bunny!!!

Night :)

A busy old week ......

on the crafting front again last week so there is plenty to add here! I've got a busy week this week too so will have even more later :)

I'm not sure if I will stay open all day today as we have had yet more snow overnight and it is still snowing so I'm pretty sure I'm not going to get many people into the shop!

I updated the Wrap Up A Kiddie page last night if you want to have a nose and see what we have been up to. I have a couple of rather large wool donations to photograph so will upload them this evening.

Handmade bracelets

These were all made last week for the shop but I forgot to add them to the work I showed off!:) I love making jewellery, especially now I have the shop, I use it as my way of unwinding.

This bracelet was actually made for a friend's daughter's birthday.

I also made
but it sold straight away. I bought the large pearls in New York in March and am having real trouble trying to find them over here, they measure about 36mm. This necklace goes from dark grey through to white but the photo doesn't pick them up.

Right, I must go and get ready for work.
Thanks for looking xx

ICS Tuesday

How did that manage to sneak up on us again? It is ICS time again and this week we are sponsored by Some Odd Girl who is offering three digi stamps of your choice to the winner. The sketch this week is by the super talented Stacy

Please join us and show us what you have done :)

I have an apology to make to my followers.......I have turned word verification back on because I have some moron who keeps sending me spam messages. I have been deleting them for the last couple of months as they were just amounting to one a week, now I am getting several every time I post and it's getting boring. Hopefully they will stop now and as soon as they do, word verification will go off again cos I find it a pain!!! :)

Thanks for looking x

It's Christmaaaaaaaaas!

Well it is at my shop anyway :) My mum and I spent from 9am till 5.30 on Sunday changing all the stock round, adding new Christmas stock and mum stripped out the window and redressed it for Christmas.

They're not brilliant but it gives you an idea. The rest of the photos are on Party Night's Facebook page (the link is on the right hand side) I will try to get some better ones today, preferably without me in the window lol

I will be back later as it is ICS day today :)

Thanks for looking. x

More commissions

Not meaning to wish my life away, I am really looking forward to Sunday. My parents took me to the wholesalers today and we (meaning I paid and mum chose lol) lots of lovely Christmas decs and flowers and things and we are going to redo the shop on Sunday morning :) Mum does the window for me so no doubt it will be gorgeous....she is in her element when 'messing' with that sort of stuff and I'm more than happy to let her :)

So, the first two cards were commissioned by our sub postmaster and his dad, which have amused me really as they sell greeting cards lol Not brilliant ones I must admit but they do stock loads!

Both cards measure 8" x 8" have used papers and sentiments from Craftwork Cards and an assortment of flowers etc from my stock. All ribbons are from Ribbon Oasis

The next card is also 8" x 8" but this time it's a never ending card....I love making these but found them originally on the internet but not sure where.

Papers are from one of Debbi Moore's old cds and the die cuts are from a box I found whilst moving my stuff round to the shop! Craftwork Cards sentiments and Papermania gems complete the look.

The next card is for a young lady who shares her birthday with her mum (the lady on the never ending card!)

Papers are Craftwork Cards, flowers are Prima coloured with Promarkers and the sentiments are by Anitas or Papermania, not sure which.

These wedding thank you cards were completed and delivered yesterday, they were made to match the wedding invitations.

Well done if you've made it to the end lol thanks for looking

ICS

Last week's challenge on the ICS blog was sponsored by DZ Doodles who gave us all a box template to work with. I made my box to match the card I made for last week's Kathy's Waffle challenge

As before, the papers are by K & Co and the flowers are Prima and others.

This week on ICS we have a gorgeous sketch by my team mate Stacy.....her work is absolutely amazing so pop over and take a look for yourself. Dawn has put up some blog candy for the winner of the challenge.

Everything (apart from the Sizzix snowflake die which I bought a few weeks ago) is from the stock I bought last year. I'm on a mission this year to try to use up all of last years Christmas stuff, so we'll see how it goes.

We would love you to join in with our challenges and share your work with us.

Tfl, have a good day.

Kathy's Waffle Sketch File

Well peeps, as always Kathy came up with another of her fab sketches to which we all (the DT) came up with very different cards as usual. We also have the chance this month to welcome the newest member of our team, Lynda from Lynda Loves Crafting and the Daring Cardmaker's blogs. Her work is just gorgeous so make sure you stop by and take a look :)

Papers and embellishments used are by K & Co and the verse on the front of the card is a rub on but I can't remember who it's by.....it might be Mambi.

Thanks for looking :)

At last!

I haven't been able to get onto Blogger for just over a week for some unknown reason and it has done my head in! It wouldn't let me log in and every time I put in my log in details it just came up asking me to log in again as though it was stuck in a loop. The strange thing was that when I published a comment from the link in my email it took me to the log in page but the comment came up as published........strange but being technically challenged I haven't a clue what was going on. It is so good though being able to access my dashboard etc :)

I have done a fair bit of work and not been able to show it but am now going to remedy that...you have been warned lol

Wedding cards for hubby.
