I had a request for a Christening card for a baby whose 'birth congrats' cards I did in August! I decided to fish out my trusty old Bookatrix board which I haven't used for a long, long time. It was a success as my client loved it!

More commissions
Not meaning to wish my life away, I am really looking forward to Sunday. My parents took me to the wholesalers today and we (meaning I paid and mum chose lol) lots of lovely Christmas decs and flowers and things and we are going to redo the shop on Sunday morning :) Mum does the window for me so no doubt it will be gorgeous....she is in her element when 'messing' with that sort of stuff and I'm more than happy to let her :)
So, the first two cards were commissioned by our sub postmaster and his dad, which have amused me really as they sell greeting cards lol Not brilliant ones I must admit but they do stock loads!
Both cards measure 8" x 8" have used papers and sentiments from Craftwork Cards and an assortment of flowers etc from my stock. All ribbons are from Ribbon Oasis
The next card is also 8" x 8" but this time it's a never ending card....I love making these but found them originally on the internet but not sure where.
Papers are from one of Debbi Moore's old cds and the die cuts are from a box I found whilst moving my stuff round to the shop! Craftwork Cards sentiments and Papermania gems complete the look.
The next card is for a young lady who shares her birthday with her mum (the lady on the never ending card!)
Papers are Craftwork Cards, flowers are Prima coloured with Promarkers and the sentiments are by Anitas or Papermania, not sure which.
These wedding thank you cards were completed and delivered yesterday, they were made to match the wedding invitations.
Well done if you've made it to the end lol thanks for looking

Papertake Weekly
Sketch # 27
Good morning from a wet and miserable Sunday in Scruff's Corner!
I've worked my little (well alright, large) butt off this week and am back to working into the night to keep on top. For the first time since I've been in business, I still have wedding orders coming in. Up until this year, they have died off about October and started agin in January which has given me a clear run at Christmas goodies. I have a jewellery party booked, another shop interested in my jewellery and loads to do for Christmas so will be burning the midnight oil well into December me thinks. I love my job and still, after five years, take it as a great compliment that people are prepared to part with their hard earned cash to buy my work. I feel so lucky to be able to sit every day and get paid for a job I adore :)
So, onto the challenge, I love the simplicity of Dawn's sketches, they definitely suit my style. I love clean and simple lines and much as I try, I can't seem to manage cluttered or shabby chic......I think it's a classic case of if it ain't broke, don't fix it!! :)

And the rest!
.

I also managed to sit out in the garden for an hour at lunch time when my friend came during her luch hour AND I went to the Range too. I couldn't keep that up every day LOL Apart from the bit about sitting outside, I could cope with that every day and if it's as lovely tomorrow as it has been today then I'll be out there again tomorrow.
Tomorrow I need to make a
Christening card,
a wedding card,
start a baby album,
add some yellow feathers to a cerise fascinator (!),
make cards for DH's birthday on Saturday and DD2's birthday on Monday
and make a start on a seating plan for the 26th
DT card for Saturday
I also have two wedding fayres (20th and 27th) that I need to prepare for.
That's it from me tonight, take care and thanks for looking.

Ribbon - Ribbon Oasis
This week Deanne says "We are still on our Occasions theme and this week we are setting the very hard task of creating a sympathy/thinking of you creation. I say hard task as well it can be one of the hardest cards we ever have to make".This is the fourth sympathy card I've made this week as we had Cec's funeral on Tuesday and I made one each for his three kids. It's just a sneaky peek for now, if you want to see the fab DT cards in full you'll have to hop on over to Rosie-Dee's blog and take a look (and hopefully join in too :)).
