Rosie Dee's reveal

Hi, I can't believe it's reveal time already. I was a very bad blogger last week as time just got the better of me. I've got quite a bit of wedding work in at the mo which has to take precedence over everything else. This weekend saw the wedding of a friend of mine and I was decorating the venue for the happy couple...it was a case of out early on Saturday, we stayed over on Saturday evening, got back yesterday and straight into work as I had a couple coming to collect the last of their order and it wasn't quite finished. I just dumped my boxes and now have them all to sort and put away :)

So onto the challenge... the subject is Think Spring
I had a commissioned exploding box to make for an 80th birthday so decided to use the challenge to make it as the remit was daffodils, blue and not fussy.

I hope you like it, my customer certainly did :)
You still have time to join in with the challenge and if you do, don't forget to tell us so we can take a peek at your work.

ICS #57

Happy birthday to me, happy birthday to me.....21 again and I don't look a day over 20 :)) I've had a hectic day (so what's new!) and have been to the all you can eat Chinese buffet for tea and am still stuffed lol

The ICS sketch is up this week and we are being sponsored be The Stamping Boutique

with a fabulous prize of 3 of the rubber "Cynthia" stamps or 5 digis....the choice is yours. How great is that!

We were late getting the images this week so as most of us had already made cards, Dawn posted them both. Just how cool is that.
Image coloured with Promarkers, paper - Doodlebug and sentiment from Craftwork cards.

Image is from The Digi Stamp Boutique sentiment is a rub on, everything else is from my stash.
Thanks for looking :)

Baby card

I've had this cute little image by Sally-Ann from Digi Stamp Boutique on my desk all week so decided to use it on Sue's sketch challenge for the CBC Birthday challenges

There are bonus points if we use a rub on and something that flies! Image coloured with Promarkers, Prima flowers and everything else from my stash.

I'll be back in a while as it is challenge day on the ICS challenge blog so have my DT cards to show. TFL

Joy fold card

Another challenge for Carolyn's is Sue's "Clothes That Crease"
"I need not ONE but TWO cards this time the theme is clothes/fashion and the catch I need an additional CREASE in the card!!!"
I made a Joy Fold card
 and an easel card
Materials: papers- Basic Grey & Papermania, assorted stamped images, QK dies, MS punch, Woodware brads,
Prima flowers and ribbons from stash

Thanks for looking

Rosie-Dee's

It's that time again....it doesn't seem two minutes since the last challenge yet it has been a fortnight! It's Brenda's turn this month to set the challenges and she has chosen "Think Spring" as her theme (and I am sat in the most brilliant sunshine while I'm writing this). The challenge this week is sponsored by Sir Stampalot.
Now for a sneaky peek at my project (I can't call it a card cos it isn't :)) which was commissioned for a lady's 80th birthday on Wednesday. She shares my birthday but she is ever so slightly older than me lol
So.....why not hop over to RosieDee's and take a look at the fabulous DT cards....and maybe join in and play with us :)

I'll be back later with some more of Carolyn's challenges

And there's more ...

Make a book of any kind
Papers are from Funky Hand and were left over from yesterday's card. The image on the pages is from a Debbi Moore cd - Glitter and Glitz. The notebook was based on one I did for Debbi to show on Create and Craft late last year. Letter stickers are Pretty Please from My Minds Eye and the flowers were from my box but not sure where I bought them.

The next challenge is to make a card using only one colour but you can use gold, silver or bronze as an accent colour

This paper is just to die for! It is simply called Bride by Stampin Up. Sentiment is from Craftwork Cards and ribbon is from my stash.

My final challenge for now is to make a mini album and decorate three pages. This one has been sat on my desk for a couple of weeks now as I wanted to decorate it as a gift for my mil. She was 75 a couple of weeks ago and I thought it would be nice for her to trawl through the photos and journal some of them :) Although I've taken the photographs, I'm not happy with the cover...it is lacking something and looks kinda plain! I will think of what to do with it and post new pics later.

The album is from Craftwork Cards and everything else so far is from my scrap box apart from the buttons and gems.

And we're off :) The next challenge I've entered is a sketch from Sue on Crafts by Carolyn. Sue has organised all the fab challenges for us and we have prizes......lots of prizes :) Come and take a look, we don't bite lol
This is Sue's sketch

And this is my take on it. I've wanted to scrap this photo for ages because I just love it. It is one of the few 'decent' ones where she isn't posing lol
Papers are from MME again, flowers are Prima and other bits are from my stash.

Kathy's Sketch File

I like this sketch and will definitely use it again as I think it will definitely lend itself to different styles of work not just flat cards.

My card also fits with the Funky Hand challenge this week. Now in all honesty, I loved these papers, Minty Madness, as soon as I saw them and just had to have the download last year......then promptly forgot them and this is the first airing and the first time I've taken part in their challenge. The stamp is a new one too, bought for me by the wonderful Kath (she knows who she is, thank you xx) stamped with Taken With Teal ink by Stampin Up, happy birthday rubon, Prima Flowers and gems from stash.

I made this card last night for a customer
The customer requested the green and white as these are the colours for the nursery. The twins, a boy and a girl were born on Tuesday and the card was a success. :)

CBC 2

Another challenge from the Crafts by Carolyn forum and this time it's 'Pick a Letter'....we had to choose a letter and make sure you have three things beginning with that letter on your card. I chose the letter F

My three things are..........flowers, fruit and Page Frills (behind the lemon border) Again I've used Pink Petticoat paper and border, Doodlebug Page Frills, Sizzix corners, Nesties and a computer generated sentiment (as the one in the kit was too small and I didn't have time to resize it)

Back later :)

Crafts By Carolyn

The forum on the CbC web site is celebrating it's eighth birthday this month and Sue has orgnised a massive challenge which will run all week. We would love it if you could join in the fun with us (and we are a very friendly bunch)  :)
I've started with a scrap challenge. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not.....scrapping is not something that comes naturally to me even though I do enjoy it.

Papers are Pink Petticoat, card is Papermania and Coredinations, flowers are Prima, ribbon from Ribbon Oasis and everything else from my stash.

Friday Sketchers

on Wednesday! And yes, I've made a challenge card that isn't for any of my DT work, yay me :) It seems ages since I took part in a challenge but unfortunately, earning the pennies comes first. Any how, I did manage this card yesterday for both Friday Sketchers and Passion For Promarkers (this has to me my favourite challenge :))
While the sketch is self explanatory, the Promarkers challenge states
"Our challenge this week is a theme and has been chosen by Caryn. She has given us the theme of ‘back to nature’, it’s entirely up to you how you interpret this i.e. colour scheme, image etc. You can use any colour promarkers this week but you must follow the theme to be entered into the prize draw"

and so onto my card
I really like the colours on this card so have used muted colours for the lovely image from Pink Cat Studio
I've had the stamp for a long time now and still like it (which can't be said for a lot of my stamps lol) The gorgeous earthy paper is from the 6" x 6" Wild Asparagus pad by My Mind's Eye -still my favourite papers at the mo.

I've used "back to nature elements" on this card too. These are my lovely sunflower image by DewDrop Digiz
and the muted earthy colours in the My Mind's Eye papers and although I'm too late to submit it for the challenge I wanted to show it cos I like it :).

Inspirational?

You bet! Just take a look at the wonderful sketch and DT cards on the Inspirational Card Sketch blog this week. There is also a $15.00 gift certificate from Whimsey Stamps up for grabs so what are you waiting for? :))

Today is my eldest DD's birthday (Happy Birthday Nat) so I made a large (ish) card for her, it measures 8"x8". I used my new unmounted PB birthday party stamp and coloured the image with Promarkers. Papers are Sassafras and Brenda Pinnick, flowers are assorted Primas, ribbon is from Ribbon Oasis and everything else is from my stash.
