Clearly Besotted

I had some new stamps and dies arrive on Saturday from Clearly Besotted but I was gutted that I didn't get the chance to play with them until today and then it was just a really quick card! I absolutely adore Stephanie's stamps and dies and haven't got one set yet that I've not been sure of. The service is absolutely fantastic and I just love receiving the parcels all wrapped up in pink tissue paper, it almost seems a shame to open them. Lol

Here is what I came up with....isn't this little stork just so cute :)

I used yellow papers from a Stampin Up set that I have had for years ribbon and pearls from my stash and coloured the dinky little stork with yellow and ivory Promarkers.

I have to disappear now but I will be back shortly :) Take care. x

Kathy's Waffle Sketch File

I really need to apologise to Kathy and Lynda for the lateness of this post. The new sketch challenge went live on Tuesday and Kathy announced the winner of my little prize......it was Toni. congratulations, your prize is on it's way and if Royal Mail behaves you may well receive it tomorrow.

So the sketch for July

and here is my card
The papers used are by Stampin Up and are gorgeous. The numbers were hand cut from white glitter card, lace and Prima flowers were from my stock and the sentiment is from Craftwork Cards.

We would love you to join in with our challenge and don't forget to let us know :)

I'm also entering my card into the Allsorts Challenge this month which is

"********"Free and Easy July"********

With school holidays looming and lots of us thinking about holidays, days out or even just a break from the everyday routines of work and the school run, we though it would be nice if we also relaxed things a bit and gave you a free rein for a few weeks, so we hope you will join in and just have fun."
Thanks for looking.

50th Birthday

Not sure who has stolen the sunshine but I should have known it would be cloudy as I am off work today and tomorrow lol

I hope the Easter bunny has been kind to you and brought you lots of chocolate!

For the last couple of days I have been busy making bits and bobs for a 50th birthday. The birthday girl just happened to be my sister and her birthday is actually tomorrow but the party is this evening.....I finally finished at about 11 this morning lol. As well as the pictures below I have made 3 A2 boards, two with photos and one with 'remember when' captions and pictures. I haven't photographed those yet but will do so tonight when they are in situ.

Papers - Craftwork Cards and Funky Hand
Stamps - Stampin Up wheel and Stampendous bodice
Sentiments - Craftwork Cards
Everything else from my stock

Happy Easter, see you tomorrow.

Birthday card

This card has been commissioned by one of hubby's collegues for her mum in law and my brief was.......something flowery!! lol but it had to be 8" x 8". My mum bought the House Mouse decoupage sheets ages ago from Create and Craft (I think) and decided to share them with me as there were so many (she bought two packs) Decoupage isn't something I do very often, I used to make loads especially when the Morehead sheets cam out but I don't think I've made a decoupage card for a couple of years now. Now I know why....what possesses the artists to put so many tiny bits on the sheets? It took ages to cut out and I chucked the really tiny bits in the bin lol I still got three good layers on it though and am pleased with the end result.

The lilac floral paper was a freebie from a magazine but I don't know which one as it was just in a drawer on it's own.
Image - House Mouse (also available from Joanna Sheen)
White DP - Stampin Up...I think it's the bride one
Sentiment - Craftwork Cards
Flowers- Prima and punched
MS punches
Ribbons - Ribbon Oasis
Gems - my stash

Thanks for looking xx

Allsorts Challenge

Here is the challenge as set by the Allsorts Dt at the weekend.

I love July! It's warm, it's lazy, it's vacation. I love it!
So, for this week's challenge, show your love by having a heart on your project. And not a teeny, tiny piece in a corner, let the heart be the focus point. Let your love show!

and I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday
Image is a download from The Greeting Farm which I have coloured with Promarkers before I flooded the heart with glue and chucked on a load of Glamour Dust. The papers are from Stampin Up and Brenda Pinnick, the sentiment is from Daisy & Dandelion. Everything else is from my stash.

Take care :)

By the skin of my teeth

The cover of an album I'm working on at the mo which has been made to the brief of the Secret Crafter's challenge of Buttons and Blooms. Flowers are cut using a large Stampin Up punch and the heart is the old Sizzix #1 die.

I think I'm just on midnight which means I've broken my run of blogging every day....I've been meaning to upload this all day but have been stuck into the album and also spent an hour weeding the garden :(

Here comes the bride

I can't believe that I have blogged every day so far this week!! Today it's a wedding card which was commissioned by DD's best friend's nana.......have I got the apostophes in the right place there?

I have had this Stampendous stamp for years and still love it although it doesn't get an airing very often now. So, onto the card: Materials-image as before (stamped twice, glittered with Glamour Dust and decoupaged), flowers - Prima E Line, MS border punch, leaves - Carl punch, Card Candy - Craftwork Cards, papers - Stampin Up, gems, ribbon and lace from my stash.

Now I need to make another wedding card for the same couple as DD is going to the evening reception on Saturday. I'm also making an album for a Ruby Wedding anniversary so need to get on with that.

I wonder how long it will last with me blogging every day. I think it might have been my new year resolution, oops!

Have a lovely weekend and thanks for calling :)

And there's more ...

Make a book of any kind
Papers are from Funky Hand and were left over from yesterday's card. The image on the pages is from a Debbi Moore cd - Glitter and Glitz. The notebook was based on one I did for Debbi to show on Create and Craft late last year. Letter stickers are Pretty Please from My Minds Eye and the flowers were from my box but not sure where I bought them.

The next challenge is to make a card using only one colour but you can use gold, silver or bronze as an accent colour

This paper is just to die for! It is simply called Bride by Stampin Up. Sentiment is from Craftwork Cards and ribbon is from my stash.

My final challenge for now is to make a mini album and decorate three pages. This one has been sat on my desk for a couple of weeks now as I wanted to decorate it as a gift for my mil. She was 75 a couple of weeks ago and I thought it would be nice for her to trawl through the photos and journal some of them :) Although I've taken the photographs, I'm not happy with the cover...it is lacking something and looks kinda plain! I will think of what to do with it and post new pics later.

The album is from Craftwork Cards and everything else so far is from my scrap box apart from the buttons and gems.

Passion for

ProMarkers week #19 - I was gutted last week when I couldn't take part, I didn't have the right colours and as I had just received another half a dozen (which brought my total to 64!) from Wendy at Secret Crafter I couldn't justify buying any more :0 I managed this week's challenge ok though and the colours look beautiful together and are perfectly matched with Stampin Up papers ..........and clearly I wasn't the only one who thought so LOL. Anyway, the challenge this week is "Onto this week's challenge, which has been chosen by our new guest designer Sam, and she would like us to use cool aqua and apricot as our colour scheme with a twist to use flowers (not too difficult this week!)."

Materials: image - Debbi Moore Designs, ProMarkers, papers - Stampin Up, flowers - Prima, ribbon,
gems and brads - from stash

Back with more tomorrow, hopefully :)

Challenge 19

on CBC's forum is another one from me and is to make a squash book for any occasion. This is the one I made to go with the instructions.........it was for MiL for Mother's dayand this one was made for a customer for her daughter's 30th birthday today.

Flowers on this one were from Dianne's Die Cuts which I bought at a craft fayre and the ones on the first card are Prima, all other bits were from my stash. The stamps used were a new set of Snag Em stmps from Papermania and the swirls jumbo roller from Stampin Up.
