Kathy's Sketch File

After our extended C*******s break at Kathy's Waffle we are back with a brilliant sketch.

I decided to keep my card even more simple than usual and went for the black and white theme.
Paper - Doodlebug
Flowers - Prima
Flower centre - Card Candy from Craftwork Cards
Sentiment ribbon - Pink Petticoat

My super talented team mates have come up with some gorgeous work again this month so why not pop along and take a look? We would love it if you could play along with us and don't forget to leave us a message so we can come along and admire your work.

Hello baby

....well it will be soon as the little chap who the pram was ordered for is overdue. Isn't that typical of a male to make everyone wait for him!! lol I love making the pram, I have one on display in the shop and everyone loves it.

I used Prima flowers, Card Candy from Craftwork Cards and everything else is from my stock.

All creatures great and small

is the theme for Tracy's challenge on Rosie D's blog for this fortnight and her brief is
"we want to see any creations with animals on. Whether it be as big as an elephant or as small as a mouse. But an animal needs to be your main feature on your creation. So if you need to blow the dust off one of your animal stamps and give it an inking please join in. And the prize this week is:-"

I am also entering this card in the Papertake Weekly challenge as I think it definitely meets the brief of Cutie Patootie-so anything goes this week, as long as it’s cute cute cute!!!!
I won my little elephant stamp (coloured with Promarkers) a couple of years ago in some blog candy and he is just so cute. Paper is by Pink Petticoat, Card Candy is from Craftwork Cards, sentiment is by Papermania and the ribbon and fish charm were from my stash.

Thanks for taking the time to look and I hope you can pop over and join in with Tracy's lovely challenge.

Rosie's reveal

We are still with Mervi's super challenge at Rosie D's and you have until next Sunday to show us your projects. I'm DT Mervi from Finland and I'm hosting the challenge for this Month, June. Hope you all can join us, as I have set some very summery challenges! This fortnight I would like to see something blue and options are fish or fishing. There is also a lovely prize up for grabs offered by Mervi herself.

My card
The image is one of Sally-Ann's from The Digistamp Boutique, (Jim fishing) and it was coloured with Promarkers, I think the papers were from Lakeland a few years ago but I'm not 100% sure and they no longer sell craft stuff so I can't check! The sentiment is another freebie from The Creative Cottage and the card candy is from Craftwork Cards

Don't forget to leave us your link so we can come and take a peep at your work.

Here comes the bride

I can't believe that I have blogged every day so far this week!! Today it's a wedding card which was commissioned by DD's best friend's nana.......have I got the apostophes in the right place there?

I have had this Stampendous stamp for years and still love it although it doesn't get an airing very often now. So, onto the card: Materials-image as before (stamped twice, glittered with Glamour Dust and decoupaged), flowers - Prima E Line, MS border punch, leaves - Carl punch, Card Candy - Craftwork Cards, papers - Stampin Up, gems, ribbon and lace from my stash.

Now I need to make another wedding card for the same couple as DD is going to the evening reception on Saturday. I'm also making an album for a Ruby Wedding anniversary so need to get on with that.

I wonder how long it will last with me blogging every day. I think it might have been my new year resolution, oops!

Have a lovely weekend and thanks for calling :)

Image was in my prize from the lovely Jo coloured with ProMarkers
Ric rac is from Ribbon Oasis
Sentiment si from Craftwork Cards
My jewels and gems are Card Candy, also from Craftwork Cards (and you can see my top reflected in them :))

Chocolate, coffee and cream

(Yum) is the challenge for this week on Colour Create and the optional extra is distressing. I'm not very brave when it comes to distressing but I did manage to take an emery board to the edges of my image :)
My card is 8" x 8" and the image is by Jak Heath for La Pashe. I love the sepia images and this one leant itself perfectly to the challenge if you take sepia to mean coffee :) The cream border was cut with one of my MS punches, the card candy is from Craftwork Cards and it was mounted onto dark brown card.

A little bit more of what I've done so far this week apart from wedding stationery (I'm back to the silly o'clock bed times :))

I've used a variety of chipboard letters from Papermania and Doodlebug, more card candy from CC, ribbons from Ribbon Oasis and bits and bobs from my stash as well as another Remember When.. image and one of the Flippin Men sheets. I needed some male birthday cards in a hurry and the letters were on the vast mound which used to be a desk! I'm not very happy with them though! I need to try to squeeze in time to make some more cards in between stationery this weekend as my boxes are now looking a bit desperate.
Back soon, tfl

Secret Crafter's...

.....Saturday Challenge #27 with a twist! This week's challenge has been set by our lovely DONNA. She has designed a fabulous sketch to follow but with a colour twist of Chocolate Orange with the yummy pic as inspiration! As usual any project but we must be able to recognise the sketch and also using the colours as the main palette.

Papers used are My Mind's Eye one of which has been punched with an MS border punch bought in Michael's in Greenwich Village (I love saying that (even though that's about all I did manage to buy!)) Card Candy is from Craftwork Cards, stamp is by Funstamps and he has been coloured with Promarkers and had his heart and nose Glossy Accented, the ribbon is from my stash and the sentiment was done on the computer.

Another double

.....this time it is for Sketch Saturday # 26

and Daring Cardmakers Good morning everyone, my name is Vanessa, aka Ellepiggo, I've been cardmaking for several years now and I'm delighted to be part of the Daring Cardmakers team. This is my first time at setting the dare and as we're on "firsts" I thought about the first thing that springs to my mind every morning - Coffee!! LOL!
Yes, I'm a bit of a cappuccino/latte macchiato girl, so I want to see lots of cards inspired by coffee!! Coffee colours, cup shaped cards, card inspired by a coffee jar label, using coffee beans on your card, coffee shop logos on your cards etc etc.....

The image is a Papermania stamp which my mum found in a draw, she had forgotten all about it as she bought it in a sale at the beginning of the year! I wanted to keep the image as unspoilt as possible so I just stamped him using a sepia ink pad onto smooth cream card and mounted it onto gold card. The papers are LilyKate and erm..........don't know what the brown is, the 'Card Candy-sleigh bells' are from Craftwork Cards and the ribbon is from Ribbon Oasis
I hope you like! TFL :)
