ICS

Another fab little stamp from Clever cut (this one gets quite a bit of use too) The turquoise blue Bazzill Bling and the yellow striped paper are left over from previous projects and the sentiment stamp was amongst a load of goodies I got when I was a runner up in a card comp a couple of years ago. I think it's by Wendie Rhodes but I'm not 100% sure!

I'm back and challenging!

Another 10 days has passed in a blur since I last blogged, four of which were spent in New York (but more of that later ;)) The phone hasn't stopped, the orders are still coming in and I have appointments coming out of my ears, anyone would think we had been away for four weeks not just four days!
I'm still making cards for Kirsty and onto the last few now so am using them for the challenges too. So here we go. The first one is for Colour Create and the challenge colours this week are Navy, turquoise and lime
The image is a stamp from Clever Cuts (and one I use a lot for men's cards), the turquoise Bazzill Bling has been embossed with a Cuttlegug embossing folder and everything else is from my stash/left overs box.

Happy Birthday to me!!

...........and a lovely day it's been too. I got some new crocs and an A3 cutting mat off DH (and my trip to New York next week ;)), a craft tote off the kids, some fabby pressies of a very special friend, another good friend owns a hair and nail boutique and she did my hair for me this afternoon as my pressie and I got some lovely dosh which I am going to change into dollars to take to NY next week :) Have I mentioned we go to New York in 10 days? LOL We have also been for an 'All you can eat' Chinese buffet this evening and I am totally stuffed!!

Happy birthday also to Purplepenguin (my forum twinnie), Prince Edward and Sharon Stone.......you can see Ms Stone and I are twins just by looking at us although we're not quite identical, slightly different shaped. LOL

I just finished and posted my samples for Debbi Moore and used one of Kathy's sketches for a quick and simple card.
Materials used are as follows
green card from Crate and Bazzill Bling
Floral glitter card and stamp from Debbi Moore
Lace and gingham ribbon from stash

2 Sketches 4 You

It's Kazan's sketch #21 this week

Forever Friends image coloured with Promarkers, Doodlebug and HOTP papers, Bazzill Bling cs and other bits and bobs are from my stash.

I'm still using my vast mountain of off cuts and it still doesn't look as though it's going down! I need to sort it all and get rid of some pieces that are obviously no good although when that will be I haven't a clue :)

Just three more

.......Valentine cards to complete the shop box. I finally got them all finished and packed at about 2.30 this morning, yawn!!
The green Core-dinations card and the burgundy Bazzill Bling card have been run through the Big Shot using a couple of Cuttlebug folders. The green card was sanded slightly with an emery board and both were mounted onto black card before being stuck onto the card base. The hearts were cut from gold foil using a Sizzlits die and one of them was embossed using the Paisley folder. Burgundy and gold ribbon is from Ribbon Oasis

All papers and card are from my off cuts box and were ripped embossed and inked (not necessarily in that order ;)). The small heart and the Doodlebug brads are from my stash. I'm still in the throes of the big clean up from the new year and am tackling the drawers (of which there are plenty), the great thing being that I keep finding stuff I forgot I had (!) and the hearts are in that category LOL I am also being quite ruthless and have sorted a large bag of stuff to go down to the local primary school (old freebie embossing boards, stickers and papers off magazine covers, embellishments that I wouldn't be seen dead using etc :))

And finally for this evening......I cut the labels using my new Nesties using Bazzill Bling and inked the edges using a darker blue chalk pad, the letters are Doodlebug stickers and the ribbon and heart were on my table.

Well that's it for tonight. I'm going to have a quick blog hop before bed.
Take care and tfl

Di Hickman's Card sketch

January #2 I love this sketch, it is definitely one to use again :)The spotty card is again from Pink Petticoat, the black is from the off cuts of the Bazzil Bling from my last card, the image is from a set of Personal Impressions stamps I bought cheap about 2 years ago and the ribbon and diamantes are from my stash.

And then there were 10

......more cards made with left overs on my desk. The pile doesn't seem to have dwindled much but I managed 10 more cards today. I will only be sharing nine this evening as I forgot to scan one so will do it tomorrow. I've run out of the large (Dunelm) blooms, but only on my desk, I have loads in boxes! :)
Just look what the DCM challenge on Friday has started! The floral paper is Basic Grey, they yellow card is Bazzill Bling and the greeting is a minute peel off!
Paper is K & Co, car is Quickutz and greeting is a rub on by Papermania.

I think the paper on this one is another by Pink Petticoat but not 100% sure *blush* (I will check tomorrow), flowers are Prima, brads are Doodlebug with added bling and ribbon.

The daisy was hand embossed and coloured with glimmer chalk. The backing paper is from a mini scrapbook kit that I bought when I first started making cards, the rub on is Papermania again and the cord was wrapped around the neck of a bottle of bath crystals until last Thursday!! lol
Wording is computer generated, ribbon is from a wash bag gift set, charm is from stash and greeting is another small peel off.
Another hand embossed card. Blooms are from Dunelm and Prima.

More Pink Petticoat images and paper. The quote is from a pink kit from Craftwork Cards which DH bought me the Christmas before last!

The word 'sister' was cut on the Robo to put on DD1's birthday card at the beginning of March but I temporarily lost ;) a couple of the letters. Flowers are Cuttlebug, as is the tag.

Flowers again are from Dunelm and the chick image is from a downloadable kit by Kate Hadfield. I will post the link to the kit tomorrow as well.

Another Dunelm fabric flower layered with one by Bazzill, one from Brianna by Prima and a flower brad which I bought when I first started card making. The greeting is another Papermania rub on.
Well, that's the lot for this evening. I shall be back tomorrow as promised. Thanks for looking.

Wanna scrap?

I managed two this morning, both for challenges on the JB forum The first is for a challenge set by Sue "So RIBBONS is the theme of this challenge not a few!!! LOTS we want you to create something using LOADS OF RIBBON hence the title RIBBONS GALORE - lets face it you can never use enough!"

The photos on the page above were from my parents' golden wedding anniversary/renewal of vows in October last year. Papers used were Je T'aime by My Minds Eye (I adore this paper at the moment) the 50 years was cut from Bazzill Bling using a Robo template downloaded from UK Scrappers last year. I have forgotten which clever person made this template but if it was you then I am very grateful-thank you. I put one of the readings from the ceremony inside the seed stick book with the date on, and the page was finished with one of these amazing flowers from this clever lady
It isn't as good as the ones she makes but I'm quite pleased as it was my first time. I added a bit of bling to the flower centre and the large photo.
My next page is another from our wedding. This was for another challenge on Just Bex but this time it was set by Lis. For this one she says "Lets get you in the mood for valentines... ...this next challenge is a nice easy one. Your theme is LOVE You can choose to make a card (1 point) or alter something (2 points) or a LO (3 points) but the word Love needs to appear on your project please". I'm getting there slowly with our wedding scrapbook album. We have about 300 photos from our day including our 'proper' wedding album so it's quite difficult choosing which ones to use.

I think the patterned paper is Creative Impressions. The large heart is cut using Sizzix heart dies #1 and #2 and the back of a notepad. I then cut the same shape in cream card and stamped it with small gold hearts using a Hero Arts stamp. Ribbon is from Ribbon Oasis as usual. The small heart is cut from gold mirri card using a Sizzix Primitive heart die. The word love shows up better on the next two pictures. :)

Papermania and Prima flowers have been used to finish my page off.
I spent this morning scrapping whilst waiting for a parcel to come so I could start a wedding order I was almost disappointed when the postman rang the bell!!
