Less Is More

The theme this week at the Less Is More challenge blog is a colour theme and they have chosen Lime Green and Black, not a colour combination that I would readily think of so it was a pleasant surprise when my card was finished and I like it lol The challenge this week is sponsored by Clearly Besotted stamps and boy, I can see why Stephanie chose the name of her blog. I came across them just before Christmas last year and am building up a nice little selection. You must go over for a visit but leave your purse behind because you will definitely spend some money :)

The set I've used is called Happy Everything and I've stamped it using a black Memento pad and just coloured the leaves using a Lime Green Promarker. I added pearls to the centre of the flowers and a piece of green and white gingham ribbon, job done.

Thanks for looking, I'm off to bed now. See you tomorrow. xx

All creatures great and small

is the theme for Tracy's challenge on Rosie D's blog for this fortnight and her brief is
"we want to see any creations with animals on. Whether it be as big as an elephant or as small as a mouse. But an animal needs to be your main feature on your creation. So if you need to blow the dust off one of your animal stamps and give it an inking please join in. And the prize this week is:-"

I am also entering this card in the Papertake Weekly challenge as I think it definitely meets the brief of Cutie Patootie-so anything goes this week, as long as it’s cute cute cute!!!!
I won my little elephant stamp (coloured with Promarkers) a couple of years ago in some blog candy and he is just so cute. Paper is by Pink Petticoat, Card Candy is from Craftwork Cards, sentiment is by Papermania and the ribbon and fish charm were from my stash.

Thanks for taking the time to look and I hope you can pop over and join in with Tracy's lovely challenge.

Baby card

This week, the Inspirational Card Sketches challenge blog are being sponsored by

AesaLina owner of Pixie Petals is giving away a "Sweet Sample Pixiepacket" which is available to purchase in her shoppe right now. The fun thing about the "Sweet Sample Pixiepacket" is the winner of this challenge and anyone who purchases it will get to pick the color and styles of embellishments that come in it!

So all you have to do is follow the sketch. It's up to you how you interpret it...flip it, turn it upside down, whatever as long as we can still see the sketch
It's so simple, but very useable and I can see myself using it a lot! Here is my card

The image is another from last week's ICS challenge, Meljen Design. I printed him out twice in two different sizes, coloured it with Promarkers and decoupaged both dogs. Ribbon is from Ribbon Oasis and everything else is from my tip of a craft room!!! lol.......Cleaner required, apply within :)

Please join our challenge this week and let us know by leaving a comment so we can come and have a look. and don't forget the Inspiration by my very talented DT mates.

KB sketch file

I think I am almost up to date with Kathy's Sketch File I still have the most recent one to do but will do that one this afternoon in my next batch of cards.

For some reason I decided to reverse the sketch, not sure why, I probably just got it wrong! LOL The paper on this card is Under The Boardwalk by Daisy Bucket and I just love it. The VW stamp was from Blade Rubber a long time ago and I keep forgetting I've got it. Everything else was from my stash.

Daring Card Makers.............

Woo hoo, a challenge on the day it was published :)) Keryn set the dare today and and here is her brief My dare for this one is the predictable, someone had to do it, theme of Valentines. Although I don't want you to feel you just have to make Valentines Day cards, feel free to make a card fitting any theme you like as long as it has a heart somewhere on it. Stamped hearts, punched hearts, diecut hearts, heart embellishments, cut from patterned paper, whatever, whenever as long as it has the right shape.

I randomly stamped the hearts straight onto my card blank using red chalk ink. The hearts and sentiment stamps are by MSE and I have to admit that having had them in my box for about 2 years, this is the first time they have seen ink!! The large greeting in the middle of the card is from Pink Petticoat and the gingham ribbon is from my stash.

I've also tidied my craft studio this afternoon as I have a client coming this evening ;)

I'm now going to start putting inserts in the cards I've made so far so that I can get them into the shops.

Back soon, thanks for stopping by xx

Baby cards

Good mornng.
DH reminded me last night that there were only two baby cards left in the box he takes to work and one of his collegues wife is due to have a baby any day so I st to and made some more. I finally finished them at 1.55 this morning!! and was up again at 7 so I am shattered.
If you're sitting comfortably I will begin!
Teddy is cut from self adhesive Vivelle using the Accucut Huggable, Loveable Bear and Sleepytime. Paper and card are from my offcut box (it isn't going down any!) Blue card is embossing using the Cuttlebug Paisley folder and the sentiment is a sticker from a MAMBI sheet. Ribbon is from Ribbon Oasis

As above but the greeting this time is a peel off. I found a new unused sheet amongst some papers so I have no idea where they came from as I can't remember where I got them. They are not something I usually use but these tiny ones are quite nice.

Paper is again from the offcut box but I believe it is from one of the 6x6 Making Memories pads. Flowers, ribbon and the feet are from my stash and the sentiment is computer generated.

Papers this time are K & Co and Doodlebug, ribbon from Ribbon Oasis and everything else is from my stash.

Recipe as above but this time I think the pink stripey paper might be Blonde Moments but I won't swear to it. ;)

Papers this time are Pink Petticoat

I think the stripey paper on this one is from an old Papermania mini album kit. Everything else is from my goody box (or should that be room)

This card is just using pale blue pearlescent card as the mount. everything else as above.

Thanks for taking the time to look. Back soon.

Knickers!

I came across this blog via Glitter Monkey's blog whilst blog hopping last week and found the template for this fab card. I decided it would be a perfect 'Good Luck' card for a friend who opened her first salon on Tuesday doing hair, nails and spray tanning. She is also selling my jewellery, tiaras and cards. It should be two separate cards but I used the templates on both sides of mine.

This is the front (obviously) LOL
And this is the back!

Papers and paper frills are by Doodlebug. I will have another one to show later as it isn't quite finished.

The next card was ordered by a friend.Papers are K & Co and Craftwork Cards. 60th were cut on the Robo and the backing was embossed using a Cuttlebug die. All finished with a piece of navy and white gingham ribbon.

I will be back later as I have a load of cards to make so feel the challenge templates might just come in handy. :)
