Week #106
How many times have I posted today?!? I think this is my 6th......I'll need a lie down after the next one :)
I know I said a while ago that I wasn't going to apply for any more DTs but I loved this sketch of Dawn's and needed to make a thank you card for my lovely MIL so I decided to use the sketch. I'm still not sure whether or not to put my card forward but I will show you why I needed the card in the first place. My MIL went to the Black Forest on holiday a few weeks ago and this is what she brought me back.......Me in my ignorance thought the flowers were snowdrops or blue bells but apparently they are fuchsias! It is actually a sun catcher but I'm going to frame it to keep it clean. I lived in Germany for seven years as my dad was in the RAF and we never went to the Black Forest, however, DH has now said he will add it to our 'to do' list........at this rate I'll be about 150 by the time I achieve all I want to achieve LOL.
So onto my cutie little card and Dawn's sketch.....
This card was made using the sketch dated 6th June so am just a bit late with this one. I made it for Nikki from DewDrop Craftz (don't forget the bookmark challenge is on until this Sunday so you have plenty of time to enter :)) as it was her birthday last weekend but she didn't let on!!Papers are Bloom and Grow
Image is from Sally-Ann at The Digistamp Boutique
Flowers are Prima
Gems are Anita's
Sentiment is a MSE rub on
Ribbon is from Ribbon Oasis
My next card was made using the Sketch Saturday sketch from 30th May which makes me ever so slightly behind LOL!
This card went to a lovely blogging bud for her birthday.Papers are again Bloom and Grow (and yes, they are my new favourites :))
Image is Pink Petticoat coloured with ProMarkers
Sentiment is a rub on by MSE

Sketch 2009 #8 lends itself perfectly to flowers or lollipops but I decided to do a mixture of both (just to be awkward) and made lollies that look like flowers :)The daisy paper, on the large scalloped circle, is left over from the Patti Paper I used earlier in the week, the yellow card is from my scrap box, the green squiggle paper is left over from when I first printed a piece of Kirsty's last freebie and the main piece of green is the reverse of a sheet of stripey paper by Crate Paper. The stems/sticks are Doodlebug Paper Frills and the wording is a rub on by MSE. The Flollies ( x between flowers and lollies remember - just humour me LOL) were cut using my new circle Nesties.
Thanks for another lovely sketch Kathy :)
My card also fits in with the challenge on Stamp Something this week which is Now, on to another fun challenge! This week we want to see your Happy Easter Somethings. We realize that not everyone celebrates Easter, so please feel free to make just a Happy Something. Anything that says Happy or Happy Easter will do for this challenge!

Woo hoo, a challenge on the day it was published :)) Keryn set the dare today and and here is her brief My dare for this one is the predictable, someone had to do it, theme of Valentines. Although I don't want you to feel you just have to make Valentines Day cards, feel free to make a card fitting any theme you like as long as it has a heart somewhere on it. Stamped hearts, punched hearts, diecut hearts, heart embellishments, cut from patterned paper, whatever, whenever as long as it has the right shape.
I randomly stamped the hearts straight onto my card blank using red chalk ink. The hearts and sentiment stamps are by MSE and I have to admit that having had them in my box for about 2 years, this is the first time they have seen ink!! The large greeting in the middle of the card is from Pink Petticoat and the gingham ribbon is from my stash.
I've also tidied my craft studio this afternoon as I have a client coming this evening ;)
I'm now going to start putting inserts in the cards I've made so far so that I can get them into the shops.
Back soon, thanks for stopping by xx
