ICS DT call

I know I said a while ago that I wasn't going to apply for any more DTs but I loved this sketch of Dawn's and needed to make a thank you card for my lovely MIL so I decided to use the sketch. I'm still not sure whether or not to put my card forward but I will show you why I needed the card in the first place. My MIL went to the Black Forest on holiday a few weeks ago and this is what she brought me back.......Me in my ignorance thought the flowers were snowdrops or blue bells but apparently they are fuchsias! It is actually a sun catcher but I'm going to frame it to keep it clean. I lived in Germany for seven years as my dad was in the RAF and we never went to the Black Forest, however, DH has now said he will add it to our 'to do' list........at this rate I'll be about 150 by the time I achieve all I want to achieve LOL.

So onto my cutie little card and Dawn's sketch.....

Shape up!

No, it's not a diet blog ;) it the new challenge from the girls on the Papertake Weekly blog This weeks challenge, as well as being my new years resolution(!!!) is Shape Up! The challenge this week is to use 3 shapes on your card or project. If you're really stuck you can count your card base as one of the shapes!!

So the shapes used are.....rectangle (image), triangle (backing paper) and circle (buttons) The image is from DewDrop Craftz coloured with ProMarkers, the paper is a left over piece from a K & Co pad, flowers are Prima and the ribbon and buttons are from my stash.

Nikki is redesigning her web site at the moment and last night I wrote up a 'how to' for a key ring/zip pull using the Kinoko Village stamps. It will be posted on the new web site so keep a look out for that one :) The challenge on the DewDrop Craftz blog finishes next week and the winner gets a free flower girl stamp.
Back to work now ;)
