Wedding fever

The wedding season is in full swing now and it will probably stay this way until around Halloween. We then, generally get a couple of weeks to start planning C*******s cards and the weddings pick up again. Up until four or five years ago the weddings came to an abrupt halt at the end of October then started again in a vengeance at the end of January. This doesn't happen any more, I'm getting stationery orders all year round now which is great. I now supply one of local Holiday Inns with the favours and on the day stationery for their 'Whirlwind Wedding' package deal and today's wedding colours are plum and ivory. Hubs was djing at the wedding so I just added my name to the card I made for him to give to the happy couple.

Materials used:- C6 card blank, a piece of plum card printed fro a Pink Petticoat download, silver mirri card, black and white image from The Digistamp Boutique, Henry & Zoe Get Married.....so cute. The flower is from a diamante pack from Create & Craft and the ribbon and gems are from my stash.

Thanks for looking. xx

Kathy's Waffle....

...Sketch File has a fabulous sketch on the blog at the moment which I think could be termed "simple but effective" and I love it. I sat down to make my first DT card and made 4 :)

Here is the sketch and two of my cards

I've used white pearlescent card backed onto silver (which looks black in the photo), Doodlebug Page Frill and the image and sentiment from The Digi Stamp Boutique coloured with Promarkers.
Ingredients used on this card are: image - Pink Petticoat which as been coloured with Promarkers and mounted onto a Nellie Stellen scalloped rectangle die cut, The butterfly was cut from vellum using a Memory Box die and and then mounted onto a gold ribbon frill. I shall enter this into the Daring Cardmakers Challenge for this week which is

This week your challenge is:
The 'Frill' Of It All
I would like you to incorporate some kind of frill on your card. It could be a frilly embellishment or background or maybe a stamp you have that would work. Anything that's fun and frilly!

Thanks for looking :) xx

By the skin of my teeth!

I'm really pleased with how much I've achieved today. In fact I've been so busy I even forgot to blog my cards. It's going to be a really quick post this evening so I can get in whilst it's still Monday (and I only have six minutes of it left lol).

So what did I make?   Ta daa

All of the images are from The Digi Stamp Boutique.

Back tomorrow. (Three minutes to spare :))

Wedding cards

Hubby had run out of cards again for his discos so I sat this morning and made 8. I still have a couple of birthday cards to make for a couple of parties in the next few weeks but we need to find out what sex the 'party person' is first.

I've 'misplaced' two photos so will add them when I find them. These cards were quick and easy to do the they all incorporate left overs from other projects! Apart from the 'recipe' (which I can't remember where I got it from), all of the images are from Sally-Ann at The Digistamp Boutique and the papers are a mix of Basic grey and Pink Petticoat.

Rosie's reveal

We are still with Mervi's super challenge at Rosie D's and you have until next Sunday to show us your projects. I'm DT Mervi from Finland and I'm hosting the challenge for this Month, June. Hope you all can join us, as I have set some very summery challenges! This fortnight I would like to see something blue and options are fish or fishing. There is also a lovely prize up for grabs offered by Mervi herself.

My card
The image is one of Sally-Ann's from The Digistamp Boutique, (Jim fishing) and it was coloured with Promarkers, I think the papers were from Lakeland a few years ago but I'm not 100% sure and they no longer sell craft stuff so I can't check! The sentiment is another freebie from The Creative Cottage and the card candy is from Craftwork Cards

Don't forget to leave us your link so we can come and take a peep at your work.

Big boo boo

On a Saturday at some point I have a quick whizz through any of the challenges I want to do for that week and save them in my 'to do' folder on my desk top, that way if it's a sketch I can try to incorporate it into any work I have to do. So last Saturday I downloaded the sketch from Sketch Saturday but didn't read the instruction which went with it LOL I made my card then went back to the SS blog to make sure that I'd done the correct challenge only to read that it had to be a pet theme as well as the sketch. The card I made is the second one below using the boy and girl image! My challenge card is the one with the doggy on it LOL I'm also entering my first card in the Rosie-Dee challenge this week (that's sounds really strange!) which is 'Coffee and cream with a cherry on top'

Materials: papers - Wild Asparagus by MME and Regency by Papermania, image - The Digi Stamp Boutique,
flowers - Prima, brads - Doodlebug Sugar Coated, ribbon -
Ribbon Oasis, MS punch, Promarkers, Glossy Accents

I used Glossy Accents on the dogs nose and the heart but the picture hasn't picked it up! I coloured him with Promarkers but as he was printed onto a 'cheap' glossy card the ink dragged but I think it makes him look furry LOL

Materials: paper - Regency - Papermania, image - Personal Impressions, ribbon - Ribbon Oasis,
flowers - Prima, MS punch, pearls from stash

I love this image and hardly use it. It has just been stamped with a Versamark pad and embossed with gold powder. For some reason I prefer it as it is rather than coloured!!

Mojo Monday

Week #106

How many times have I posted today?!? I think this is my 6th......I'll need a lie down after the next one :)

Materials: papers - Craftwork Cards, image - The Digi Stamp Boutique, ProMarkers,
sentiment - MSE rub on, everyting else from stash

This card has been sat on my desk all afternoon and I'm still not sure about it. I'm not sure if the 'retro' background over powers the image! All opinions will be gratefully received :)
