A cluster of cards!

I've been messing around with the Word thesaurus trying to find a collective word which would fit with cards and I liked cluster, it sound so muc nicer than bunch or group lol.

Who stole the weekend? One minute it was the middle of last week, now it's almost the middle of this week!!! My intention was to blog on Saturday and Sunday (and I have all the pictures on my desk top ready to upload) but the days disappeared and the pics are still on my desk top :)

The first three cards were made for hubby to take to assorted functions he was working at. The top card was made with an image and spotty paper from Craft The Year Away which can be found on the Funky Hand website. If you have already bought I'm sure you will love it as much as we do and if you haven't then you really must treat yourself, you don't know what you're missing!!!

Images and papers used are from
Pink Petticoat
Craftwork Cards
Stamps Away
Funky Hand
Penny Black
Doodlebug

I must dash now as I'm still in my pjs and have to go to work shortly.

See you later xx

Friday Sketchers

weeks 51 and 52 and Papertake Weekly's challenge which is to you animals on your card.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong with blooming blogger but I can't seem to do anything I want to do. I can't add multiple pictures any more and I can't drag pictures to where I want them and can only add one picture at a time. I've just tried editing my 'Friday Sketchers' post as I showed the sketch of one and the image of another and it wouldn't let me! Anyway.......

Papers are Pink Petticoat and left overs by Papermania (from the albums I made during the week), the gems are Anita's and the other bits are from my stash. That's a birthday card for DH's neice, at the end of the month, off my list.

I used some more fabby papers from the Patti Picklicious cd and a little left over piece from Papermania wedding paper, my cutie little owl stamp stamp is from Stamps Away, the blossom stamp is from Debbi Moore, the fabulous swirl is a Quickutz Revolution die (and I love it), the flowers are Prima and the gems are from my stash.
I'm really happy with this card (which makes a change!!!)

Sketch Saturday

# 47 and 48 were done last week and the week before but I ran out of time on both of them. I thought I'd better put them up before I did the next ones :)
This was my DT card for the challenge on DewDrops weekly challenge which was blue and green. The card uses one of Sally-Ann Hancock's new stamps which can be bought here Jim was coloured with Promarkers. I'm not sure what the papers are but the dark green paper was cut with another of my MS punches and the added beer mug is a Quickutz die cut.
The little owl on this card is from Stamps Away, the papers are a freebie fron a mag (I think), The flowers are a mix of Prima and cheap ones, the owl is sat on blossom from a Debbi Moore stamp from the Oriental set, the ribbon as always is from Ribbon Oasis, the frills were cut using my MS doily punch and the circle mats were cut using the circle nesties.

It's a man's world!!

It was my turn again to set the challenge for this week on the DewDrop Craftz blog and this is it! Now.. onto this fornights challenge..It's a mans world.. (we'll let them think that anyway..) So what does that mean for the challege?? Mens cards.. or other projects.. something for the men in your lives.. I want to see your 'male' creations over the next fortnight.. as we all find it more difficult to make for them it will be great to see what you guys come up with, especially with Father's Day looming not far round the corner..So root through your stash for those masculine papers, dig through your ribbon for those twills and ropes and see what you can astound your man with. Looking forward to seeing the entries.. and the winner will receive 3 new Pebeo Metal Touch tubes in Gold, Pale Gold and Copper and a full set of 4 Carl Torrosian sophisticated nudes stamps (both Sandrine and Angelique)
The image on the top card is Eric the dinosaur and is another by Sally-Ann which has been turned into a stamp, now for sale in the DewDrop Craftz shop The green paper on the top is one of Kirsty Wiseman's from the Patti cd and the striped paper is from my box of off cuts.

The image on the second card is also from DewDrop and I think he is just so cute. He has been coloured with my trusty PMs. The sentiment circle is from Stamps Away.

3 in 1

Who's a clever girl then!! Just had a quick browse round some of my favourite challenge blogs and realised that I could tie three of them into a card I needed to make :) I needed a new year card for a friend so here are what was required
The sketch is from a new challenge blog, (not sure how I came across this one!) The Sketch and Stash challenge blog
Every 2 weeks there will be a sketch to follow. You can rotate the sketch, resize the elements and add extra elements if needed. The second part of the challenge is to use your newest stash on your card. You can use a new paper, new stamp, new embellishments etc. They can all be new or just one thing which is new, that's up to you! When you're posting your card on your blog please let everyone know what your new item is, the make or manufacturer and a link to where you bought it from if possible! But most importantly, HAVE FUN!!
This week's challenge is something easy to get you back into the swing of stamping and crafting. For this week, we'd like you to create something NEW!! It can be made with new products(maybe some goodies you received under the tree!!), it can be using a new technique, or something for a new occasion (baby, house, job......).
and
We're back now with a new challenge! Seeing spots is simply to use spots/dots or circles on your project!
So here is my card

I think the spotty backing paper is from K & Co, as is the spotty paper used for the large hand cut numbers. My new item this time is my lovely little owl stamp from Stamps Away, he was part of my Secret Santa pressie and it's the first time he's been used. I suppose I could've had the 'new year' too ;) The sentiment was done on my lap top.

Right, I'm off to make a lasagne now............I'm supposed to be sorting my craft room but I keep getting diverted :) I started it yesterday and it just looks a bigger tip than usual! It will be worth it in the end though (who am I kidding, I don't think there will be an end!!! LOL

Take care and TFL xx

Playing catchup!

Yesterday was the last of my wedding fayres until September (unless something fab comes along ;)) so I can now go back to doing a couple of challenges amongst the wedding stationery, I hope! The first one is for a template by Sue on Just Bex forum and it's a template

and here is my take on the templateIt also fits the challenge on Cute Card Thursday which is

Challenge 8 - In the garden
This week, a nice easy theme, anything to do with gardens. Could be people gardening, having fun in the garden, a garden scene or perhaps some little animals you might find in the garden

Papers are from Pink Petticoat, brads are Doodlebug, the charm is from Crafts By Carolyn and the cute little gardener is by Stamps Away.

Just got the Di Hickman template from last Wednesday and the DCM dares to do and I will have caught up a bit. I also have some new stamps which came last week and I neeeeeed to play with them :) so I will be back this evening with more to show.

BFN xx

Di Hickman's Card sketch

I do love card sketches, they make my life so easy but I've never actually thought of doing my own. I just decide what I'm using on a card and shuffle it till it looks right LOL (Note to self-start using one of my millions of note books and making my own sketches). I do like Di's though and here is this weeks. The blue paper is from an old Sizzix pad and I'm not sure what the stripey paper is as it was in a kit I bought a while ago. The stamped image is by Stamps Away and the charm is from my stash.

My next card is another one from Lythan's tutorial, this time on yellow card :)

The card is actually yellow Bazzill Bling although it looks orange here. The paper is again from the card kit. The house and clouds are again from Marieke's blog I love the colours in this one.

And now back to my left overs! Here are a couple more that I did this morning.

Patterned paper used is from one of the K & Co mat stacks. Not sure where the lilac card is from but I ran it throught the Swiss Dots folder by Cuttlebug. The stamp is one of the Maggie stamps from Sugar Nellies and the ribbon and heart are from my room full of goodies. :)

Paper is by the English Paper Company (part of my prize from a comp last year in Cardmaking and Papercraft) and the stamps again is by Stamps Away. The rest is from my stash.
The stamp is City Divine by Penny Black. The backing card has again been Cuttlebugged and the flower and brad are from a Papermania mini embellishment kit.
