Exploding box

Another commission, this time for an exploding box for a yound lady who will be 21 on Tuesday and guess what her favourite colour is......yep, purple! Her mum also said that if I could put a penguin in the middle she would be very grateful.

Papers are from the Patti Picklicious, the first cd by the ever lovely Kirsty Wiseman. Thanks Kirsty for the permission to use the papers, I had to check to make sure it was ok :) Other bits and pieces, charms, flowers etc were from the ever growing stash as usual.

One for the girls

for today, my card for the Secret Crafter which is "This week it's the lovely DONNA's turn to set the challenge and she has taken pity on us and chosen something that we all love. ONE FOR THE GIRLS Any creations as long as it's girl themed. Now you can embellish until your hearts content LOL."
and Mojo Monday's sketch challenges for this week.

Materials: Image and sentiment - Patti Picklicious, ProMarkers, Prima flower, Card Candy - Craftwork Cards

And finally, another commission. This time it was to make a 'ticket wallet' for Arctic Monday tickets as a birthday pressie but I had to incorporate the cd cover too. I decided to make it look like a cd and was quite pleased with the way it turned out. I have an album to do for the same person but that is Monday's job.He he, I've just realised that I forgot to edit the last picture. I'll do it tomorrow and upload it again.
I must get back to work now as I have a wedding fayre tomorrow and still have two seating plans to make and my stuff to sort.

Colour Create

The colour combination this week is grassy green, apple green, sunflower yellow, lemon and white
It's a lovely fresh looking combination and when I first saw I definitely didn't see a man's card however once I chose my image I could see how it would look and I'm quite pleased with the outcome! The optional extra is to decorate the inside of your card which I haven't done as my cards are on general sale and you can guarantee someone will ask for the same card but with a plain inside, so I've played safe :)
I also used the Friday Sketchers sketch by Claudia

The image is called Jim-Just Chillin (beer) by Sally-Ann Hancock and is available from DewDrop Craftz, coloured with ProMarkers. The green wavy paper and sentiment are from Kirsty Wiseman's Patti Picklicious cd and the brads and other pieces of card are from my stash.

I love this little duck stamp but only ever seem to use him on get well cards! I've had him for about three years now and think he came from Dimension Fourth. He is coloured with Promarkers and mounted onto yellow and dark green card. The brown spotty paper is another from Patti Picklicious.

Friday Sketchers

weeks 51 and 52 and Papertake Weekly's challenge which is to you animals on your card.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong with blooming blogger but I can't seem to do anything I want to do. I can't add multiple pictures any more and I can't drag pictures to where I want them and can only add one picture at a time. I've just tried editing my 'Friday Sketchers' post as I showed the sketch of one and the image of another and it wouldn't let me! Anyway.......

Papers are Pink Petticoat and left overs by Papermania (from the albums I made during the week), the gems are Anita's and the other bits are from my stash. That's a birthday card for DH's neice, at the end of the month, off my list.

I used some more fabby papers from the Patti Picklicious cd and a little left over piece from Papermania wedding paper, my cutie little owl stamp stamp is from Stamps Away, the blossom stamp is from Debbi Moore, the fabulous swirl is a Quickutz Revolution die (and I love it), the flowers are Prima and the gems are from my stash.
I'm really happy with this card (which makes a change!!!)

When Patti met Sally.........

It should actually be Sally-Ann, as in the fabulously talented Mrs Hancock but it didn't fit :) and I shall show you why I came up with this ingenious (not) title :) I needed a card in a hurry this morning but didn't have the time to start looking for matching papers etc and Kirsty's cd, Patti Picklicious was staring at me and so the inevitable happened. Instead of trying to reduce the off cut paper mountain even further, I printed of another half dozen sheets! I also used the Truly Scrumptious challenge from 29th April which also stated that the card had to be good enough to eat.

The papers from the cd are the Filligree Baby Girl split sheet and the Chocolate Fudge Spots. I also used the Happy Birthday 'button' from the Circle Greeting section. The cupcake image is one of Sally-Ann's drawings which have been turned into acrylic stamps by Nikki at DewDrop Craftz I coloured the image with my PMs and added glitter to the icing and Glossy Accents to the cherry on the top :) The card looks wonky in the picture but it isn't IRL.........honest LOL

So what does that mean for the challege?? Mens cards.. or other projects.. something for the men in your lives.. I want to see your 'male' creations over the next fortnight.. as we all find it more difficult to make for them it will be great to see what you guys come up with, especially with Father's Day looming not far round the corner..So root through your stash for those masculine papers, dig through your ribbon for those twills and ropes and see what you can astound your man with. Looking forward to seeing the entries.. and the winner will receive 3 new Pebeo Metal Touch tubes in Gold, Pale Gold and Copper and a full set of 4 Carl Torrosian sophisticated nudes stamps (both Sandrine and Angelique)

Inspirational Card Sketches

Sketch #10 and I've only just done this one in time (again!)

Patti Picklicious

Who's a lucky girl then? I got my yummy new cd yesterday morning and it sat on my desk for an hour before I succumbed and popped it into my machine (crikey Kirsty, what on earth was that cellophane sealed with......it took me ages to get into it ;)) Anyway, I just fell in love with so many of the papers, it is going to do nothing to help my paper mountain as I will have to start printing papers again! So by about tea time I just had to print a couple of bits off, just to look at you understand :) As I'm working really late to keep on top again I thought I would just colour an image before I went to bed (at 1.45 this morning!) and this is what I came up with this morning. I hope I've done it justice.

Ellie's likeness is just remarkable! I could rave about this cd all evening but then it will sound as though Kirsty has bunged me a fiver so I won't LOL What I will say though is..........you need it and can buy it here

I'm already looking forward to using this loads and seeing the second cd :)

For all the kind peeps who helped with my 'shoe appeal' below, I've given up on that one and have offered an alternative.

I must go back to work now as I have lots of wedding stuff in at the moment and deadlines to meet.

Saved the best...

......till last!

Just look what I got in the post yesterday :)

.....a fabby birthday from the wonderful Terrie Bailey, you can check out her gorgeousness here. The card can also be seen in all it's glory on the Patti Picklicious blog :) Kirsty left me a comment this morning and made my day. She said "oooh you got the first patti card - you is majorly uber famous now!" How good is that!

I really must go and sort tea now and get some more work done. I have done some this morning but I've been adding my cards to my blog since about 2.30 *oops* :)

Take care and TFL

Sketch and Stash

Challenge #4

My new stash this time was the gorgeous freebie papers from Kirsty Wiseman I seriously need that cd and as my birthday is the 10th and this cd comes out on 8th it might just sneak it's way onto my pressie list ;)) The only things I didn't use from Kirsty are the star brad and the burgundy card!

Thanks for looking.
