Exploding box

Another commission, this time for an exploding box for a yound lady who will be 21 on Tuesday and guess what her favourite colour is......yep, purple! Her mum also said that if I could put a penguin in the middle she would be very grateful.

Papers are from the Patti Picklicious, the first cd by the ever lovely Kirsty Wiseman. Thanks Kirsty for the permission to use the papers, I had to check to make sure it was ok :) Other bits and pieces, charms, flowers etc were from the ever growing stash as usual.

You choose!!!

The challenge this week on the ICS blog is for you to go back through the sketches here, pick your favourite and make us a new card.....easy as that :) Our sponsor this week is Bunny Zoe's Crafts and Nikki, the owner, is offering one very lucky winner a £15.00 voucher to spend in her shop.

I chose to reuse last week's sketch, #68 as it was very simple but very versatile and could be rotated any way and still look good, however I just used it as it came.

The image is by Penny Black and it was stamped for me about two years ago by a lovely blogging bud Only Joking. I keep putting them away and forgetting about them then every so often I find them again and use one. The paper was a freebie but not sure where from as it was a long time ago when I downloaded it and I didn't file it under the site name, which I usually do. If you recognise it as yours please contact me so I can give you the thank you mention you deserve. The image was coloured with Promarkers, the sentiment is from Kirsty Wiseman's first cd and everything else is from my stash.

Back soon :)

Friday Sketchers

Love this sketch too and the card also fits with the Stamp Something challenge which is In honor of the first day of Spring, we want you to "Think Spring" and create something that makes you feel or think of Spring time. You could use Spring colors, floral images, floral accents, anything you can think of. Let your imagination go wild!

Another Sally-Ann sketch from the same download coloured with Promarkers. I don't know what the striped paper is but I've had it forever. The zig zag border is one of Kirsty Wiseman's freebie papers, the blooms are Prima and the leaves are puched. Not sure where th ribbon is from either but I think it works well on this card.

CBC3

Challenge two on Carolyn's forum was a question to be answered so I'm not adding that one, just straight onto Challenge 3 I need BIRTHDAY - GIFT TAGS - I CAN LIVE WITH ONE BUT TWO WOULD BE GREAT A SET WOULD BE FAB

So here we are, a set of two ;) All bits apart from the flowers were left over from other projects. The flowers are Prima and the birthday cake is one of Kirsty Wiseman's freebie set of papers.

DewDrop Craftz

........are getting a whole new look, not only the web site but a challenge blog too! The DewDrop Craftz web site had major server issues so Nikki has taken the bull by the horns and used the opportunity to redesign the web site completely and I have to say, it's looking good! It is a mammoth task but she is hoping to have the shop and blog up and running tomorrow so please do drop by and give her your support.

I am honoured to say that I set the first challenge for DewDrop mark 2 and decided to use one of my sketches. Now before we go any further I must say that Van Gogh I aint!! my card actually gives you a better idea of the sketch than the sketch does LOL and I can't wait to see what the rest of the girls do with it!

I really must redraw and scan that sketch and 'unwonk' it LOL The image is one from the DewDrop web site (and is one of several very cute little animal stamps) coloured with ProMarkers, the ribbon is from Ribbon Oasis of cours (I can't remember the last time I bought ribbon from anywhere else) and the fabby papers and sentiment are the latest creation by...........KIRSTY WISEMAN from her new cd Patti Picklicious. Go and take a look for yourself, they are just stunning!

Thanks for looking, take care.

Alphabet soup!

The DCM challenge from last Friday states This week, the title says it all - I want to see lots of circles, you can decide how you use them, whether it be the shape of your card or how you display circular elements within the design and thats it, nice and simple (I hope :-)). and one of the recent challenges set by Angelnorth on CBC is called All In A Row. As the title says, Joanne would like to see rows of something on the projects and by rows, she means more than three.
Papers are from Blonde Moments and the decoupage image is one I've had on my lap top for years so I'm not actually sure where it came from! Not sure where the ribbon came from either (not doing very well here am I LOL My row and circles, for both challenges, are the SA pearls on either side of the flower brad at the bottom of the card.
My next card also fits both challenges :)
Image is Uplifting Occasions by Penny Black coloured with Promarkers, backing paper is from one of the Basic Grey 6 x 6" pads and the sentiment stamp is another one from Kirsty Wiseman's freebie download. My row this time is the Card Candy from Craftwork Cards and the sentiment circle.

My final card fro now doesn't fit with a challenge but I thought I would show it anyway as all three cards were from DD1's birthday on Monday.

That's it for now, I haven't been idle, I've just been making wedding stationery samples which have been ordered. I have a mountain of cards to make today though so should be able to fit in some challenges.
