Passion..

For Promarkers are celebrating their first anniversary this week with some fabulous prizes on offer.

"The challenge this week is an easy peasy one for you “anything goes”, so you can make absolutely anything you like as long as you use your promarkers."
I had to make a birthday card last night for DH's niece's birthday this weekend and this is what I came up with

I decided to make her an easel card as I haven't made her one yet and I used a butterfly image is from DewDrop Digiz shop, she has been coloured with Promarkers and 'Glamour Dusted@ to within an inch of her life lol Her wings really sparkle but the camera hasn't picked it up very well! Everything else is from my stash.

I hope you have sunshine wherever you are. Back soon, tfl.

Perfect timing

Sarah from Passion For Promarkers has set this week's challenge and she has chose the theme of "Gratitude" which can be interpreted any way as long as you use Promarkers. I had a "thanks for being our bridesmaid" card to make and decided that I would use the Mojo Monday sketch too as I haven't joined in any challenges for a while (what with my lousy April and busy working life!!) So onto the sketch

This beautiful little image is a new release from DewDrop Digiz and are by a fabulous artist called Jade. The image is actually a bride but I thought she would look lovely as a bridesmaid as the card is for a teenage bm. She has been coloured with Promarkers (what else) and her wings and bouquet have been glittered using Glamour Dust. The papers used are from the gorgeous Sugar Dumpling range by Blonde Moments I've had these papers forever and came across them this morning whilst looking for something else :) the flowers are Prima, the sentiment is from Craftwork Cards border punch and the gems are from my work box. I used my latest MS to punch the border....I've got a few MS punches now but this one has to be my favourite and it cuts like a dream!

Thanks again for looking, take care

Happy Easter!

I hope you are all having a lovely Easter Sunday with your loved ones and I know that it is the true meaning of Easter but I hope there is lots of chocolate involved :))

I've just been and collected a load of cushions (haven't counted them yet) from a lovely lady from Freecycle in the hope that my friend Nicki in Switzerland can use them for her cushion projects for vulnerable children. I will photograph them later to add to my 'Wrap Up A Kiddie' page.
In the meantime, I made a card for DH to take to the wedding last night where he was working.

The lovely cutie image is available as a download from DewDrop Digiz Shop. I coloured the image with Promarkers, the backing paper is from Pink Petticoat and the ribbons etc are from my stash.
Thanks for looking.

Rosie Dee's

I know this is terribly late but Rosie sent me the instructions on how to schedule a post for last Sunday and I deleted the email by mistake and I have been so busy since we got back that it slipped my mind. However, I think I am now back on track :)

This week was the last of Brenda's challenges for a while (as Lyn takes over for April) and for this challenge she chose another Spring theme, but this time using the colour combo of Green, YellowWhite, which are perfect Spring colours. And so to my reveal
The image is from The Digistamp Boutique and is coloured with Promarkers, papers are magazine freebies and everything else is from my stash. You still have a couple of days to join in with this challenge before the new one goes live on Sunday.

Friday Sketchers

on Wednesday! And yes, I've made a challenge card that isn't for any of my DT work, yay me :) It seems ages since I took part in a challenge but unfortunately, earning the pennies comes first. Any how, I did manage this card yesterday for both Friday Sketchers and Passion For Promarkers (this has to me my favourite challenge :))
While the sketch is self explanatory, the Promarkers challenge states
"Our challenge this week is a theme and has been chosen by Caryn. She has given us the theme of ‘back to nature’, it’s entirely up to you how you interpret this i.e. colour scheme, image etc. You can use any colour promarkers this week but you must follow the theme to be entered into the prize draw"

and so onto my card
I really like the colours on this card so have used muted colours for the lovely image from Pink Cat Studio
I've had the stamp for a long time now and still like it (which can't be said for a lot of my stamps lol) The gorgeous earthy paper is from the 6" x 6" Wild Asparagus pad by My Mind's Eye -still my favourite papers at the mo.

I've used "back to nature elements" on this card too. These are my lovely sunflower image by DewDrop Digiz
and the muted earthy colours in the My Mind's Eye papers and although I'm too late to submit it for the challenge I wanted to show it cos I like it :).

DewDrop Digiz

I've made another couple of cards today with some new digiz from Nikki at DewDrop Craftz The newly released bee image can be found here

and the bride and groom will be released shortly

I also managed a couple more hat and scarf sets this week (well 8 actually!) so they were sent down to the Kids Co earlier this week :)
There are actually four pink and four green, I just couldn't lay them out well enough to take a picture. I am becoming more passionate about this charity by the day and knowing that we can make a small difference in a child's life gives me a good feeling. I am still looking for knitters who can knit to a decent standard (sorry to be picky) and for donations of wool, even just the odd ball can help. Unfortunately I won't be able to pay the knitters but I can supply some wool and a pattern so all you will need is time and the needles. Once the OWOH challenge has finished on Monday I will be making this post or a similar one a sticky at the top of my blog.

Take care and thanks for looking.

Soggy Sunday

What a blooming miserable day it is here at Scruff's Corner. We have had that really fine drizzle (wet rain that soaks you through lol) since yesterday lunch time and it's awful. Anyway, we are going over to my mum and dad's for lunch so it's not all bad :)
My first card fits two challenges as one is a sketch and the other is a colour challenge. The first one is the sketch which is from Kathy's Sketch File (that woman can be so cutting if she doesn't get what she wants lol) and the other is Colour Create. The colour combination this week is soft pink, soft blue, white and silver) and this is what I came up with
Flower paper - K & Co
pink and white striped paper - Craftwork Cards
sentiment - The Cutting Cafe
MS punch
everything else from stash

The second card I made yesterday was made using a Pink Elephant sketch but I don't know when it's from because I can't find it again on their blog!
papers - K & Co, Making Memories
Promarkers
ribbon - Ribbon Oasis
sentiment - Craftwork Cards
pearls from stash

Another quickie

This time the card is for the challenge on the Passion For Promarkers blog. the colour combo for this challenge are Grass and Canary.......not quite grass and a canary, more like a frog and a lily pad, boom boom :))

Materials: DewDrop Digi stamp, Sizzix frog, Promarkers, papers - My Mind's Eye, googly eyes, Ribbon - Ribbon Oasis,
buttons from stash, sentiment - pc

I loved this image and it screamed Sizzix frog at me!! The image is part of a flower set sent to me a couple of weeks ago by Nikki from DewDrop Craftz and is one of the new
Digiz sets recently added to the site. Don't forget to check out the new challenge which goes up on Tuesday.

I don't usually get involved with controversy on my blog but this evening just made my blood pressure rise somewhat! Was Mr Cowell unfair this evening? I think so, I certainly don't think Lucie deserved to go at all, I think she has a lovely voice, has been consistent all the way through and seems to be a really nice girl and that's all I will say, read into it what you will LOL. I shouldn't even have an opinion as I'm one of the ones who don't vote until the final :( I love young Joe and Olly though :)

That's it, I'm down off my soap box now so onto a brighter note......my dear, darling beloved hubby has only gone and booked to take us back to New York in March :) We found when we went this year the three days just wasn't long enough to see what we wanted to see (DD could've spent three days in Macy's if I'd let her!) so we are going again at the end of March but this time we are going for FIVE days.....woo hoo!!

Right o, I have some work to finish before I hit the sack so I will see you soon. Sleep tight and thanks for looking. xx

Card Sketches 37, 38, 39

Yes, I'm still playing catch up with the challenges.........I suppose I wouldn't be me if I stayed up to date every week. I've not got a cat in hell's chance of ever winning anything though cos I'm never done in time!! LOL That's a bit of a lie actually because my first card is also for the Passion For Promarkers challenge this week (which doesn't run out until Tuesday) and the colours to use are poppy and forest green.Materials: image - DewDrop Digiz, papers - The Merry Days of Christmas, My Mind's Eye, Promarkers,
ribbon and stars from stash, sentiment made in Word.

Materials: image - Hallow by DewDrop (see above), Promarkers, flowers - Prima, sentiment - Craftwork Cards, papers from off cut box

Materials: image - DewDrop Crafts, papers - Pink Petticoat, Promarkers, ribbon - Ribbon Oasis, gems - Papermania

Thanks for looking.

Phew!

I've got two more challenges for this card. The first is the sketch from last week's Sketch Saturday challenge and the Colour Create challenge which is "to use the colours black, white, yellow and red with the option of using flowers and checks." I managed the flower but couldn't find the checked ribbon so ended up using striped ribbon instead.

and this is the last of my DT cards for now (did I hear someone say thank goodness?) It's almost as good as having to sit through someone's holiday snaps LOL so the materials used are

image - DewDrop Digiz, Promarkers, paper and Page Frill - Doodlebug, ribbon - Ribbon Oasis, everything else from stash

I'll be back later with some blog candy so watch this space.
