Happy Easter!

I hope you are all having a lovely Easter Sunday with your loved ones and I know that it is the true meaning of Easter but I hope there is lots of chocolate involved :))

I've just been and collected a load of cushions (haven't counted them yet) from a lovely lady from Freecycle in the hope that my friend Nicki in Switzerland can use them for her cushion projects for vulnerable children. I will photograph them later to add to my 'Wrap Up A Kiddie' page.
In the meantime, I made a card for DH to take to the wedding last night where he was working.

The lovely cutie image is available as a download from DewDrop Digiz Shop. I coloured the image with Promarkers, the backing paper is from Pink Petticoat and the ribbons etc are from my stash.
Thanks for looking.

Wrap Up A Kiddie

Human kindness strikes again! I put a post on my local Freecycle group to ask if anyone wanted to knit for me for the Wrap Up A Kiddie or if anyone had any wool they didn't want. Pics can now be seen on my new pages.

Articles for the 'Kiddies' finished this week, an Aran knitted by me for a special little boy

baby cardi and hat knitted by my mum for a baby girl who lives with the above mentioned little boy

and finally for now, two cardis made for me by a friend's mum .......thanks Rita :)

How funky are they? :)

Thanks for looking. I'm keeping this page at the top till I can figure if I can add other pages to my blog so for newer posts please scroll down. xx

DewDrop Digiz

I've made another couple of cards today with some new digiz from Nikki at DewDrop Craftz The newly released bee image can be found here

and the bride and groom will be released shortly

I also managed a couple more hat and scarf sets this week (well 8 actually!) so they were sent down to the Kids Co earlier this week :)
There are actually four pink and four green, I just couldn't lay them out well enough to take a picture. I am becoming more passionate about this charity by the day and knowing that we can make a small difference in a child's life gives me a good feeling. I am still looking for knitters who can knit to a decent standard (sorry to be picky) and for donations of wool, even just the odd ball can help. Unfortunately I won't be able to pay the knitters but I can supply some wool and a pattern so all you will need is time and the needles. Once the OWOH challenge has finished on Monday I will be making this post or a similar one a sticky at the top of my blog.

Take care and thanks for looking.

A huge thank you

As you probably know if you are a regular reader of my blog, I am supporting the Wrap Up A Kiddie Well, a couple of weeks ago I emailed eight of the big wool companies in the UK to see if they could help us in some small way by supplying us with oddments of wool. I have received one yes, two no s and no reply at all from five of them and I was feeling pretty down about it.

About an hour ago my faith in human kindness was restored when a man arrived at my door with a large box containing this heap of future warmth

I would love to thank the lovely Beverley from Coats wools
Thanks for your kindness Beverly, it is really appreciated.
