Funky Friday

I thought the weather was supposed to change here at Scruff's Corner but it has piddled it down for most of the day. I hope it changes tomorrow as two of my couples are getting married and it's my mum's birthday....so come on Mr Sunshine, we need to see you!

Sorry about the lateness of my post but I have been in wedding stationery mode all day and have had people in and out all day collecting.

My card

I decided to make a joy fold card as I haven't made one for ages. I've used the free Funky Hand paper for this month with the remaining papers coming from my FH bit box and the images are precoloured digi stamps from the Happy Happy Birthday and Craft The Year Away cds with the addition of Sakura Glaze and Stardust pens.

Don't forget that there is still plenty of time to enter the Get Funky! challenge, in fact you could get the kids crafting and entering too. Please just remember our on little rule though, you must use a Funky Hand product to enter. Why not pop over and have a look at some of the fab projects my DT mates have posted.

I'm going to add this to Di's Snippet Challenge blog as it's made up from left overs. I meant to add a card earlier in the week and forgot all about it. Sorry Di.

Thanks for looking.

Get Funky

It's my turn to upload my work to the Get Funky challenge blog for Paula's theme of At The Seaside and there are still a couple of days left to play.
The papers and image were taken from the Craft The Year Away cd (which is just fab!)

Complete Cardmaking

I was thrilled a few weeks ago to have been chosen, along with other members of the Funky Hand DT, to showcase components from the Craft The Year Away cd which were on the free cd given away by Complete Cardmaking magazine. I had never seen this magazine as it is quite expensive but I found it to be quite good. There was a free cd on the from of the magazine including freebies from Funky Hand and Kirsty Wiseman and others as well as free programmes.

I made the card to match my word book but it wasn't published. They missed my surname off for some strange reason too but it was mentioned on the contributors list at the back of the mag :)

Bye for now.

You passed!

I've managed to slot some 'ordinary' card in for the shop in between orders over the last couple of weeks and have been building my stock up slowly.......then on Friday a lady came in and bought 6 cards and my rack doesn't look so full again lol
I did get some driving test cards done though and only sold one :)

The cards were made using an assortment of materials including Sizzix die cuts (which I hardly ever use nowadays!) and the papers and image on the last card are from Funky Hand Craft The Year Away and Colour Me Happy cds.

It is so lovely to be back in the land of the living...our phone and internet went off on Thursday morning and after much searching for numbers and great expense (for ringing 0845 numbers from a mobile) we actually found out that it wasn't just our service which was out, it was the whole area!!!! I'm still wading through my 492 emails so if I owe you one, it will be with you soon.

Thanks for looking.

Funky Hand

These were all made a few weeks ago and I didn't get round to posting them. They were all made for the Funky Hand Gallery to show off the new cd.

A lovely little treat bag (which is so simple to make and I may have got the original idea from the Splitcoast Stampers resource page) to showcase the new spotty papers. They are absolutely fab and there is a positive and negative image of each paper.

A cover for a mini book which has been commissioned for a lady in Somerset who will be, you guessed it.....100 years old (in August) I'm awaiting photos now so I can complete the book.

This is a memo board/shopping list for my mum's fridge! This time I used a paper from the Craft The Year Away cd as well as the spotty papers.

And finally a card using an enlarged copy of the ice cream from the work desk on the Craft The Year Away cd. There is so much which can be done with these cds (including Colour Me Happy and Dreams Come True)

And that's yer lot for this evening, my bed is shouting me very loudly!! :) Don't forget our super challenge over on the Get Funky! challenge blog, We would love to see what you come up with but you must use a Funky Hand paper in your creation. Why not pop over and see the fab projects my super talented team mates have come up with.

Night night

Recent commissions

What a beautiful day we've had today...lots of lovely sunshine and temperatures above freezing. There are loads of gorgeous daffodils in my garden and big clumps of frogs spawn in the pond which must mean that we are now on track for Spring to take over from Winter!!

I've done quite a few commissions over the last couple of weeks since I last blogged as well as wedding stationery orders and a wedding fayre.

 Stamps by Hero Arts
Basic Grey rub ons, computer generated verse and sentiment finished off with s/a pearls and burgundy ribbon.
Nitwit free papers and Hero Arts sentiment stamp.

Assorted Funky Hand papers and images from the Craft The Year Away cd I really love this cd. The sentment on the third card is a rubber stamp which I bought in Michael's in Manhatten last year, I must track down some of the others as they are just delightful!!

I'll leave it at that for now and come back tomorrow with more of my completed work.
Thanks for dropping by. xx

Craft The Year Away ......

...is the latest cd from Anice at Funky Hand which she premiered on Create and Craft on Sunday morning. I absolutely love the cd but have been  shrouded in secrecy until the release on Sunday. I thought I would show you what I came up with for the launch.

There are loads of yummy new papers on the cd along with digi stamps (which can be resized), the abily to layer images and text onto a sheet of the paper before you print it, word books using assorted coloured letters and fonts and loads more. I will definitely get a lot of use out of my copy. Anice is also adding more stuff to the web site including the ever popular Promarkers, buttons and ribbons.

Thanks for looking.

Valentine cards

I thought I'd made loads of cards this week but judging by the photos it doesn't look as though I have! I then remembered that I had made five DT cards for Anice for the launch of the new cd Craft The Year Away on 30th January. This one is definitely worth adding to your collection as it is just fab!! :)

I got some freebie papers from a magazine a while back and decided to use some for a couple of Valenting cards for the shop. It's another kit from Nitwit Collections (of which I am getting quite a collection :))

I need to make some more on Monday as I have a basket in my cousin's hairdressers and she hasn't got any yet!!
So that brings us to the end of round one.....more to follow.
