Funky Fall

It was my turn today to add my card to the Get Funky! challenge blog which I duly did at about midnight last night then promptly forgot to add it on here!

As always, Anice made one of her lovely downloads as an Autumn freebie paper which can be downloaded from here I chose to use the freebie on my card this month.
Here is my card
I made my own template for the apron. (When I make a template for anything I usually end up surrounded by printer paper as I tend to cut and alter quite a bit lol) Anyhow, I cut a separate pocket and 'stitched' it with a black Sakura glaze pen. I cut out and coloured the tools which had been printed from the Colour Me Happy cd and stuck them into the pockets with a bit of ds tape. i added ribbon ties anda type written sentiment and that was that :) I hope it's ok.

You passed!

I've managed to slot some 'ordinary' card in for the shop in between orders over the last couple of weeks and have been building my stock up slowly.......then on Friday a lady came in and bought 6 cards and my rack doesn't look so full again lol
I did get some driving test cards done though and only sold one :)

The cards were made using an assortment of materials including Sizzix die cuts (which I hardly ever use nowadays!) and the papers and image on the last card are from Funky Hand Craft The Year Away and Colour Me Happy cds.

It is so lovely to be back in the land of the living...our phone and internet went off on Thursday morning and after much searching for numbers and great expense (for ringing 0845 numbers from a mobile) we actually found out that it wasn't just our service which was out, it was the whole area!!!! I'm still wading through my 492 emails so if I owe you one, it will be with you soon.

Thanks for looking.

Pinch and punch....

..for the first of the month :)

It's my turn to post my project on the Get Funky! challenge blog so here goes......

A huge thank you to Debs for hosting this month's challenge which goes under the heading of SPOTS & STRIPES and can be seen here and to my super talented team mates for providing such inspiration.

When Debs first announced her challenge, even before Anice uploaded the new striped freebie paper I started rattling off my spotty and stripey creations which are posted on my blog and came up with three before I realised I still needed to make something using the free paper lol

It just so happened that DH forgot his step-niece's birthday until the actual day so this is what I came up with.
The elephant digi stamp is from the Colour Me Happy cd and I've printed him onto the spotty paper from the Rainbow Polkadots download and as well as using the striped freebie, I've used the large spotty paper from the April Fool section of the Craft The Year Away cd. The sentiment was printed using the Workspace on the CTYA cd and glued onto a cocktail stick to make my flag. I finished my card with 3 toning brads, I hope you like it.

And here are my other stripey/spotty makes. I hope you like them and that you are inspired to join in with our Get Funky! challenge which runs until the 14th May.

Papers and images are from Dreams Come True and Colour Me Happy cds with the addition of ribbon, gems and Prima flowers from my craft stock.

Please remember that your creation MUST use an element from Funky Hand and if you don't you won't go into the hat for the winning entry.

Have you seen the fabulous Our Betty stamps on the web site too? Prices on the stamps have been reduced from £8.99 to £7.99

Take care and thanks for looking.

A couple of quick makes

A male 50th and a wedding card.

All papers are from the Colour Me Happy cd by Funky Hand. The numbers are hand cut using wooden letters as templates (and scissors ;)) and I used Nesties for the circles and a Sizzix thin die for the corners. The sentiment is from Craftwork Cards

The wedding card is another commissioned card made at the end of last week
This card was made using patterned card from my 'scrap' drawer, paper flowers, ribbon from stock and another Craftwork Cards sentiment.

I ran out of time again last week as I had a wedding fayre on Sunday and I always seem to end up with loads to do. My next one is coming up in June and I plan to be ready in plenty of time..........well that's the plan :))

Thanks for looking.

Funky Hand

These were all made a few weeks ago and I didn't get round to posting them. They were all made for the Funky Hand Gallery to show off the new cd.

A lovely little treat bag (which is so simple to make and I may have got the original idea from the Splitcoast Stampers resource page) to showcase the new spotty papers. They are absolutely fab and there is a positive and negative image of each paper.

A cover for a mini book which has been commissioned for a lady in Somerset who will be, you guessed it.....100 years old (in August) I'm awaiting photos now so I can complete the book.

This is a memo board/shopping list for my mum's fridge! This time I used a paper from the Craft The Year Away cd as well as the spotty papers.

And finally a card using an enlarged copy of the ice cream from the work desk on the Craft The Year Away cd. There is so much which can be done with these cds (including Colour Me Happy and Dreams Come True)

And that's yer lot for this evening, my bed is shouting me very loudly!! :) Don't forget our super challenge over on the Get Funky! challenge blog, We would love to see what you come up with but you must use a Funky Hand paper in your creation. Why not pop over and see the fab projects my super talented team mates have come up with.

Night night
