Happy Birthday....

Crafting Muskateers. Another month has passed us by in a flash and it's May already! It's also time for the Crafting Muskateers new challenge and we are celebrating our first birthday....where has the last year gone!?!.So onto the challenge which this month is sponsored by Katie Sue Designs.
This is their prize for the winner

For our birthday celebration , we will be doing our usual prize for the winner, but also there will be small mystery prizes for the top 3.
The top 3 will also have the chance to be guest designers with us, with us along with the winner.

So, the challenge for this month is "anything but a square" and this is my card
I used a Nestabilities Grand Decorative Oval die #1 for the card blank, Mr & Mrs stamps by Woodware, hand rolled flowers, silver mirri card and white satin ribbon. My card was part of an order and this is the matching keepsake box I made....
using the same hand rolled roses, die cut leaves and white satin ribbon. My client loved it. :)

I hope you are enjoying the lovely sunshine we are having in the UK at the moment.
Back soon, take care xx

Thank you card

A quick card from me today using one of my favourite product ranges from Kanban Crafts. The design sheets are fabulous for making quick modern cards

Materials used are: 6x6" scallop edged card blank, silver mirri card, topper & elements are Friendship Lollipops & Mats Kanban 901567, clear gems and paper is from the Love & Marriage paper pad 901539.

I'll try to come back later with today's work as I'm in favour box mode today and am making them for an open evening (wedding fayre) on Thursday evening at the Holiday Inn, Doncaster from 6pm till 9pm. If you're looking to get married in the Doncaster area this is the place I would recommend. There are two fabulous venues which will be set up as for a wedding and the top recommended suppliers will be there to chat with you. The difference between a wedding fayre and an open evening is that we DO have the time to speak to you properly unlike at a wedding fayre when there are loads of exhibitors all vying for your attention.

If you do come along then please come and say hello, I'm the one with the wedding stationery. xx

Happy New Year

I took last week off to try to sort my craft room etc before I started back at work this week but it didn't quite work out that way. My room is still a tip and as well as my DT work I took in two more wedding orders :)

Well here we are in another new year and we have a fabulous new design kit from Kanban. I know I keep harping on about it and that their 'mantra' is "Quality as standard" but the Kanban goodies and kits etc is just absolutely amazing, they really are beautiful as well as fantastic quality. The new online Kanban shop, Crafted By You is now live and new products are being uploaded almost daily so now if yoiu don't have a local bricks and mortar craft shop near you you can shop your little socks off online :)

I think I mentioned before that I was changing my Kanban Thursday to Kanban Monday but I'm keeping Funky Hand to Friday and Kathy's Waffle will be on Wednesdays (I like the sound of Waffle Wednesdays :)) I don't know yet what I'm going to do with the other two week days but I'm sure I'll find something.

Funky Friday

Sorry I'm late with this post, at least it's on the right day this week lol, but the explanation is on the post below.
So onto my card, what a nightmare it was to get a decent photo of this card. As there is quite a bit of silver mirri card showing the light just kept reflecting off it. Also, I had a bright pink top on and it kept reflecting in the photo. If you look carefully next to the right hand glass you can still see me lol

So what did I use to make my card?

Papers - Hey Baby Girl (Wishes & Kisses cd)
Yellow gingham - Wishes & Kisses cd
Spotty paper - Rainbow Polka Dots (download)
Glasses - Happy Happy Birthday cd
Bunting - Happy Happy Birthday cd
Silver mirri card
Pink satin ribbon
Clear gems
Glossy Accents (on cocktail glasses)

All of the cds and downloads are available from Funky Hand.

Tomorrow is the launch of the new Get Funky challenge and it's a really good one (you'll like it Beryl :)) so please call over and take a look.

Back tomorrow, tfl.
