New Challenge

After all the weeks and weeks of misery and hype we are finally  ready to play :) The Crafting Muskateers are here with a fabulous new challenge blog with some brilliant challenges and some gorgeous prizes from some lovely (and very generous) sponsors! We also have a Facebook page for you to follow especially if you don't have a blog, you can add your work to the page.

The Crafting Muskateers is borne from the old Kanban Design Team. When Kanban folded we were all gutted as to be expected and then we decided that, as we were a strong team, we wanted to stay together especially as some of us had been on the team together for over a year. There have been a few changes to the team however. Craig and Toni left then so did Emma and Karen. Sarah Wright came back to join us and the newest DT member is Nicole Bretherick I'm sure there will be a lot of Kanban stuff to be seen on our challenge projects but it's not necessary to use it, it just means that we have got loads of stuff left over lol.

The first challenge has been sponsored by Creata International owned by the lovely Carley Duff and what a prize we have up for grabs!

Funky Friday

Please forgive the lateness of my last two posts, I have this awful cough left over from my 'man flu ; )' and I think I may have pulled a muscle in my side as it is agony! Every time I move in the wrong direction and catch it I could scream.

My Funky Friday card had to be done too so I had to cast my pain aside and catch up with my Funky Hand DT card and also I've made samples for a couple of new downloads.

I'm still on my mission to use up my off cuts and managed to use a couple on this card. The image is the Star Cake available from the Funky Hand web site for just £1.49 and the backing papers are from the Stylish Tree collection from the O Come All Ye Crafters downloads, the piece of red striped paper is from a freebie from April 2012 and gold Card Candi which is available from Funky Hand too.

There are some fabulous new downloads coming from Anice's fair hands in the next couple of weeks and of course, the DT get to play with them before anyone else :)

Funky Friday

Firstly I need to apologise for my Kanban post, it was written out ready to post and I forgot to click on the "publish" button. I've just checked in to write my Funky Friday post, albeit late and my Kanban post was sat waiting for me!!!
Also, the update on the chimney saga. It turned out, according to the insurance assessor, that it didn't belong to us but next door :) However, it was recommended that because it isn't in use any more, that it was taken down a few courses, which was done yesterday.
So onto my Funky Friday card and I'm still using the papers from the new collection on the Funky Hand web site, Just For Jen. They are so versatile and I just love 'em! :)

 All the papers on this card are from the Just For Jen collection. The sentiment stamp, stamped onto a price tag, is from the Stepping Out collection by Clearly Besotted.

New cake image is the Star Cake digi stamp from Funky Hand (coloured with Promarkers), Papers used are Hey Baby Boy- Wishes & Kisses, Jingle Bells from Twelve Crafters Crafting,  the Funky Freebie from April 2012, silver mirri card and finally Card Candi in blue.
