P pick up a penguin

This next card was made last night with a new download from DewDrop Craftz Digiz and he just has to be my favourite from the new collection of penguins :)

Image - DewDrop download, ProMarkers, Glamour Dust, Paper - K & Co,die cuts - Cuttlebug, rub on - MSE

I printed and coloured him twice, cut him out and mounted him over the original image on 3d foam pads. I then attacked him and his igloo with Glamour Dust. I used glitter card on the bottom half of the card as snow and the die cuts were all cut from glitter card too.

DCM Stamp Something

Friday brought Rein's first 'Dare' over on the DCM blog and this is what she said

Bird, Birds and More BirdsI love birds so I'd like you all to make a card featuring birds this week
......a bird in the snow, a birds nest, a carrier pigeon, a white stork or birds in the sky, or...,or... even big bird!
and there was also a sketch from Stamp Something so I decided to combine the two.

The little penguin stamp, from Tanda Stamps, was stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed using black Super Sparkle embossing powder by Personal Impressions. His feet and beak were water coloured. The images were simply mounted onto black card and cut out using small scallop scissors. The starry organza ribbon was the last piece of silver I had left on the roll and I've had it for so long I can't remember where it was from! The little snowflakes on the sentiment plaque are Cuttlebug.

I think I maybe making some more to this sketch, simple but effective (a bit like me really LOL)

I may just leave the cards for this evening and have a blog hop instead. Loads of lovely people have left comments on here and I just haven't had the time to get back to them. If you are one of those people then I really am sorry and I really do appreciate all your comments, thank you.

Off to watch Strictly now but will be back in a while.

DCM Friday

This week its Rhi here to Dare you... and the theme is to do with our feathered friends!(Are you remembering to feed them now it's chilly out)Robins, love birds, cartoon birds, stamped birds, paper pieced birds, dingbat birds. Its up to you. I dare you to make a card with a bird or birds on, it doesn't have to be a real species, the more weird and wonderful the better!

Here is my quick card for the dare yesterday.
Papers are K & Co and DCWV Christmas pads from last year (I have finally made a dent in the DCWV one :)) Penguin stamp is from Tanda Stamps and ribbon and buttons are from stash.
I received some of the lovely Nestabilities this morning, just the rectangle set to try them out. I ordered them yesterday from Joanna Sheen and they arrived at about 8 o'clock this morning! Their service is remarkable. I know of a few businesses that could learn a lot from JS!!
Back to work now. I have completely finished my first exploding box and am on to the second one. I haven't photographed the first one yet but will post pics as soon as I do.
