All work and no play......

but the card rack is actually starting to fill up :) I'm still using the off cuts mountain and it doesn't seem to be going down but I'm sure it will if I keep fighting it.

So this week (apart from DT cards, 2 seating plans and a fascinator) I have made

Image - Papermania stamped with sepia ink, papers from the paper mountain and the sentiment is from Craftwork Cards
Image, coloured with Promarkers is from Bugaboo Stamps the offcuts of card are from my drawer.
Image and flourish paper from Pink Petticoat spotty paper is by My Mind's Eye and the sentiment was made using the workdesk on the Craft The Year Away cd by Funky Hand
I can't remember where the image is from but I think it might be Woodware, paper is Basic Grey and the sentiment is from Craftwork Cards
Image from Cuddly Buddly coloured with Promarkers, paper is from Stampin Up and the lace and gems are from my craft box.

The cute golfer is another digital image from Bugaboo stamps, and the papers are again from my drawer.
Bible - Sizzix, border - Martha Stewart, frame - Nesties, ribbon and charm from my craft box
Papers - Bugaboo Stamps coloured with Promarkers, papers - Pink Petticoat, sentiment - pc generated
Image - DigiStamp Boutique paper - Stampin Up, everything else from my craft stash
Image - DigiStamp Boutique, not sure about the paper, the charm and ribbon are from my craft box
paper - My Mind's Eye, sentiment - Craftwork Cards
 Images as before
Images - Pink Petticoat, flowers - Prima
Me to You Bear - Papermania, white lace - Creative Treasures

Well, I think that's enough for anyone for one evening.
Back soon :) xx

Happy Monday

morning everyone :) Mind you, looking out of my studio window it isn't very happy looking. It's very grey but the sun is trying to poke it's little head through all of the miserable cloud......at least it isn't cold!! There, in true British style, that's got the conversation about the weather out of the way lol.

I had a card order to make over the weekend and as usual, left it till the last minute. The brief was that it was for a 10 year old James Bond fan so after faffing around with this little lot for ages (I always seem to end up with piles of dud copie paper when I'm doing something like this :))

to this

Apparently, the lad in question went to a fancy dress party as JB and has liked him ever since, hence the tux and not the gun or the car on the front of the card!

It was also DD1 and SiL's first wedding anniversary yesterday (it doesn't seem a year since the wedding) so I came up with this mini album/card for them.

I bought the kit from Funky Hand a while ago and had it cut out on my desk for a good couple of weeks before finally making it up this weekend. I've left large enough spaces in it for them to add some of their own photos and just added a couple of poems, some E Line Primas from Creative Treasures. The heart on the front of the card is made using Sizzix dies....this one is one of their place cards (which were suspended from wine glasses) with the name plate and ribbon taken off. It was well received!

Have a wonderful day, whatever you are up to and I hope your sky is brighter than our. LOL.

DCM

I haven't done a Daring Cardmakers challenge for a while so decided to combine last week and this week to make my brother's birthday card for next week :) Last week Jo's challenge was "Tartan It Up! I would like you to use some sort of tartan on your cards, fabric, ribbon, paper, even a piece of an old tartan rug(!)etc."

and this week it's "we'd like to see some folds on your cards this week. Fold the whole card, fold some paper, fold some ribbon. Do some origami, teabag folding or just fold over a corner of your paper to reveal the other side. As long as there's some sort of folding used as a feature of your card then it counts. Any subject, any theme, any reason."

I decided to make a Joy Fold card as I haven't made one for a long time (they look lovely but are difficult to photograph.....well that's my excuse for the pants photos LOL)

Materials: papers - Bloom & Grow by My Mind's Eye, image - Woodware,
Promarkers, sentiment - Craftwork Cards
, ribbon and buckle from stash

and finally for now..............look what's just arrived on my doorstep all done up in a lovely white organza bag. They were ordered at 3 pm yesterday from Tracy at
Creative Treasures and arrived about an hour ago.........

Now that's what I call perfect service, thank you Tracy they are gorgeous.

Enjoy your weekend whatever you are up to. Me? I'm making wedding stationery in between appointments!

Creative Treasures

Tracey is starting a monthly challenge on the Creative Treasures blog and here is what she has to say Every month will see the start of a new monthly challenge, some months it might be a colour challenge, recipe challenge it might be a photo to take inspirations from. We are going to start with a colour challenge and as this months blooms kit is "Spring Meadows", I'm going to go with this theme, here is your colour inspiration. Closing date with be 30th April and the winner will receive a Monthly Blooms Kit of their choice.

The theme this week on Rosie-Dee's Challenge is blooms so my card fits that one too :)

and here is my card
I'm not sure what the papers are as they came in a card kit last year, but I love the blue and yellow, I think it's almost (dare I say it) summery,if not then it is definitely spring like. The large blooms were picked up from a craft fayre, the blue card is edged with an MS punch and the right hand side of the card was embossed with a Cuttlebug folder. It's the back of the card as I cut a couple of cms off the front. The shadows are cast by the scanner so I'll try to photograph it tomorrow once the camera batteries have recharged.
