Today's offerings

I decided last week to take a stock of my card stand and make a list of which occasions were missing and I could have almost written the list on a loo roll!!! Today I decided to take a bit of time to make a start on the list by just making a couple for each occasion so at least there was something on the stand. I actually started yesterday afternoon but a friend bought one of the one and a half cards I made, I had to finish it off whilst she had a cuppa lol but I can't show that one as it is my April Dt card for Funky Hand.

Papers - Dreams Come True cd from Funky Hand, Pink Petticoat and Papermania
Sentiment labels - Craftwork Cards
Image - The DigiStamp Boutique
Promarkers
Prima flowers
Nesties
Buttons and ribbon from stash

As I din't have the time yesterday to update my blog I thought I would add the completed work onto the end of this post.

Paper is from the super Rainbow Polkadots download from Funky Hand, (a range of 26 spotty papers in all the colours of the rainbow-and then some....and all this for just £3.49), I can't remember where the pyramage image was from but it was part of a mag comp runner up prize a couple of years ago, sentiments are generated on the laptop and everything else is from my stock.

My customers were very pleased with the commissions :)

Off to bed now, thanks for dropping by.

Funky Hand

These were all made a few weeks ago and I didn't get round to posting them. They were all made for the Funky Hand Gallery to show off the new cd.

A lovely little treat bag (which is so simple to make and I may have got the original idea from the Splitcoast Stampers resource page) to showcase the new spotty papers. They are absolutely fab and there is a positive and negative image of each paper.

A cover for a mini book which has been commissioned for a lady in Somerset who will be, you guessed it.....100 years old (in August) I'm awaiting photos now so I can complete the book.

This is a memo board/shopping list for my mum's fridge! This time I used a paper from the Craft The Year Away cd as well as the spotty papers.

And finally a card using an enlarged copy of the ice cream from the work desk on the Craft The Year Away cd. There is so much which can be done with these cds (including Colour Me Happy and Dreams Come True)

And that's yer lot for this evening, my bed is shouting me very loudly!! :) Don't forget our super challenge over on the Get Funky! challenge blog, We would love to see what you come up with but you must use a Funky Hand paper in your creation. Why not pop over and see the fab projects my super talented team mates have come up with.

Night night

wedding favours

Made for a wedding fayre last month and will be used again for another in a couple of weeks time. I'm a recommended supplier for one of the local hotels and when we have a wedding fayre/open day the venue is always dressed so that people can get a rough idea what it would look like set for a wedding. We had four tables set this time, each with a different colour scheme and these were my contribution.

and a seating plan made for the same fayre

Thanks again for looking.

Absolutely fascinating!!

A little diversion from cards just for the moment as I've had a run on fascinators/headbands, they make a lovely change from playing with paper :) The only problem is that the feathers get everywhere and always make me sneeze lol

All made using assorted feathers and crystals. I have another one to make tomorrow along with two corsages then it's back to the 'paper work'

Thanks for stopping by.

More work

Another assortment of commissions from the last couple of weeks using a selection of techniques....stamping, colouring and decoupage amongst them

The weather has been wonderful again today and I've really missed being at home and able to potter about inbetween working. Still at least I get plenty of work done :)

Debs has added her project to the Get Funky challenge blog why not pop over and have a look at her very 'zingy' card.

Dear Erika

10th September 1977 - 7th March 2011

Just as we all remember you...with glass in hand and a big smile on your face :)
You are missed by so many people who's hearts you touched. Sleep peacefully my friend.

Recent commissions

What a beautiful day we've had today...lots of lovely sunshine and temperatures above freezing. There are loads of gorgeous daffodils in my garden and big clumps of frogs spawn in the pond which must mean that we are now on track for Spring to take over from Winter!!

I've done quite a few commissions over the last couple of weeks since I last blogged as well as wedding stationery orders and a wedding fayre.

 Stamps by Hero Arts
Basic Grey rub ons, computer generated verse and sentiment finished off with s/a pearls and burgundy ribbon.
Nitwit free papers and Hero Arts sentiment stamp.

Assorted Funky Hand papers and images from the Craft The Year Away cd I really love this cd. The sentment on the third card is a rubber stamp which I bought in Michael's in Manhatten last year, I must track down some of the others as they are just delightful!!

I'll leave it at that for now and come back tomorrow with more of my completed work.
Thanks for dropping by. xx

Funky Hand

Have you checked out the Funky Hand challenge blog, Get Funky! yet?
This month's hostess is Jules (from AlwaysWith a Heart) and she has chosen "Show us your Heart" as the theme for this month's Funky Fifteenth challenge. The main rule of the challenge is that you must use a Funky Hand paper. However, if you don't own any, the lovely Anice has given out a freebie which can be found here. Please follow our rules, they are very simple. Every couple of days on the Get Funky blog one of the team uploads their project with a bit of info about how they made it and what they used. There is some amazing work over there, please take the time to have a look.
And here is a sneak peek of my project for the challenge.

Thanks for dropping in and I shall be back tomorrow :)

February round up

I will be playing catch up now to add all my for the last month on here but don't worry, I won't put it all on at the same time :) During the month of February I made

100 birthday invitations
188 wedding invitations
20 baby announcement cards
2 table cards for a birthday party
50 wedding thank you cards
1 cot
38 assorted cards for different occasions
1 memo board
1 set of album covers
1 gift bag
1 wooden spoon
1 necklace
2 bracelets and
1 pair of earrings

PHEW!!!

I have been at work at 7.30 every morning (except last Saturday) for the last couple of weeks and I seem to get so much done in the couple of hours before I open the shop. This week I have been cleaning and have just started painting as I had a new window in the shop last week. The dust has settled and the plaster is dry so I put the first coat on today and will put another coat on tomorrow and hopefully that might just do it. I also need to fill up my card stand as it is getting very low on every day cards.

I think that will do for one night :)
Thanks for looking, back soon.

I'm back!

I haven't been able to get into Blogger for the last couple of weeks. Whenever I've tried to sign in all I've had has been a message which says 'redirecting' and it has taken me back to the log in page. This happened last year too and not being very technically minded I haven't the faintest idea why lol.

Anyway, I can announce that the winner of my One World One Heart giveaway is Gail from Shedding The Wolf The earrings were posted last week so I'm hoping she has them by now.

I decided, in the end, not to join any of the giveaways this year, just to gift a prize as it would have take weeks to sift through all the participents but I will visit the blogs of everyone who visited me and took part in my giveaway....thank you all very much.
