Why?

..........does life have to get so crap just before Christmas? I always said I wouldn't talk about personal issues on here but I just feel so lousy at the moment. We had a death in the family last week (ex father in law), on Sunday my ex brother in law's step father died and I've just had a phone call to say that a very special Auntie died this morning. She has been more of a grandmother to my kids than their own grandmother was as they were growing up. She was 80 years old and had been poorly for a good while and was on permanent oxygen .........it doesn't make it any easier though.

If you have someone dear to you and you haven't seen them for a while, make time to give them a call, drop them a line or pay them a quick visit because you just don't know what's around the corner! I have had a really busy year and have said several times that I would pop over to see Florence (she lived about 15 miles from us) but have never got round to it for one reason or another. We had planned to go and visit them between Christmas and new year as we are both taking a few days off work. I shall still go to see 'Uncle'. Tell your loved ones that you love them at least once every day.

Rest in peace Florence and Alf.

Oh Jackie, so sorry to hear you're going through it at the moment. Don't be hard on yourself, we all do it - promise we'll make that phone call or visit someone and never get around to it. When my Mum was ill in hospital, I visited her every day apart from one night and she died the next day so I know exactly where you're coming from x

Oh Jackie, I am so sad to read this - what a lot for you to bear. Sending you lots of hugs (before I came and saw this, I've mentioned you on my blog with something for you, but don't want now to seem insensitive - just pick it up when you feel like it). Lots of love. xx

Sorry to hear about your losses, Jackie.

I must admit I'm absolutely terrible for keeping in touch and visiting people - will make that my new year's resolution.

Hope you can still manage to have some happiness at Christmas.

Take care

Lisa xoxo
