DewDrop Craftz charity stamp

In support of Orchid, a charity which raises funds to help fight male cancer, Nikki has worked together with Sally-Ann Hancock from The Digi Stamp Boutique to bring you a new and exclusive 'Jim' stamp.

I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday #51 Jim is coloured with ProMarkers (what else!) The papers are 3 Bugs summer collection from last year but I still love them, the shells are QK cut from gold glitter card and the little star fish were punched from a piece of cork as I couldn't find my sand paper. The circles were cut with Nesties.

As mentioned above, the stamp is available from DewDrop Craftz and £1.45 from every stamp sold will go to the charity..........He is available facing either left or right and I've placed my order.
Please think about buying him to help a very worthwhile charity.

Colour Create

What a beautiful colour combination the team from Colour Create have chosen this week.........and it's not BLUE! LOL

The cutie rag doll image is from DewDrop Craftz and she has been coloured with my trusty Promarkers, papers are off cuts from the Bella collection from Making Memories, the flowers are Papermania and Prima and the yummy ribbon is from Ribbon Oasis.

Blue period!

I think I must be going through a 'blue period' as my fourth card in a row, made for the Sketch and Stash Challenge #11 , the Secret Crafter's "New Beginnings" challenge and the Papertake Weekly challenge which is Onto this weeks challenge!! (At last lol!!) Scrap this! This weeks challenge is to use your scraps - I'm sure most of you have a wee little box of them!! Or several large ones if you're like me! ;), is blue :)

My 'new' item is the rocking horse sticker by Karen Foster Design which I received a couple of months ago for having a card published in Papercraft Essentials. It was only when I received the stickers that I realised that I had been published again as I hadn't sent anything in. The card in question was sent in ages ago for a competition in which I failed miserably (as always!) and when I saw it in print I really didn't like it! Does anyone else ever feel like that about their work?

Anyway, back to the topic in hand, the papers are HOTP and everything else is from my stash.

Sketch Saturday

I used another of Sally-Ann Hancock's 'Jim' downloads for this sketch and, as usual, coloured him with my ProMarkers. The papers are HOTP and everything else is from my stash.

Passion For ProMarkers

Challenge #1
Well our first challenge is finally here and what an exciting day it is for us and hopefully for you too. As you know our first challenge is "anything goes" so you can use any colour promarkers you may have (even if you only have one) but please can you tell us which colours you have used on your post. Now for the first challenge (and the first challenge only) we are offering mega prizes from our four sponsors, therefore we will not allow you to combine our challenge with any other challenge, but only for this week.

Papers are HOTP, flowers are Prima, the sentiment was done on the lap top and the image is a Penny Black stamp (which I have forgotten the name of and my mum has my stamp at the mo :)) coloured with the following ProMarkers: Forest Green, Cool Aqua, Pastel Blue, Blush, Warm Grey 1, Cool Grey 1 and Pastel Yellow.

I can finally visit other blogs after an absence of I don't know how long. I have been having trouble with 'the white screen-Operation aborted' appearing every time I tried to visit and it was really getting up my nose! However, this morning I decided to download Firefox and give that a try.......and so far so good. I am just about to take DD to town for (yet more) new school shoes, but plan on having a blog hop this evening.

To everyone who has commented on my blog and think I am really rude for ignoring you, please accept my apologies, I shall be round to visit so get the kettle on!
:)

Thanks for dropping by.

Edited to remove the Sketch as I didn't notice the last line *oops!* I shall now make another Sketch Saturday card.

Coming soon

Je suis un Rock Star! For those of you old enough to remember it was a single by Bill Wyman back in the 80s LOL.
I made this card for last weeks music DCM dare which was "The Sound of Music" Now on to this weeks dare; Tra-Laa! I want you to design a card which is 'Musically inspired'. Anything goes, whether you use musical paper, or an image of instrument - or even song lyrics.

Don't you think he looks like a young David Bowie? Keep a look out on the DewDrop Craftz web site as the stamp is going to be released shortly.

New challenge blogs

There are a couple of new challenge blogs starting over the next couple of weeks which I shall be watching with interest and they are

The Next Level
The Next Level is the exciting new concept of Dawn (All Pink Girl) and Ann (Madgesty - Love to Create) probably better known as blog name Madge. Our aim in designing this new informative style of blog is not only to produce really creative Weekly Challenges that are not tied to any specific brand, but also to explore new avenues, ideas and techniques with a completely fresh approach.

Passion For ProMarkers

Stamp Something

This week is a sketch and last week was a Clean and Simple Thank You card

Paper is more left over from the albums and is a double sided paper by Papermania, image is a Pink Petticoat download and the flowers are Prima finished with an Anita's crystal gem in the centre. DH is djing at a wedding tonight and this was for him to take with him.

I love clean and simple cards (in case you hadn't noticed LOL) so this challenge was right up my street! The paper is from the new Regency pad by Papermania Signature and it is lovely. The sentiment is from a Clear on Clear stamp set, the ribbon is from Ribbon Oasis and the gems are Anita's.

TFL

Papertake Weekly

Dawny's sketch #15 and another card for the Wet, Wet, Wet (who I have seen in concert about 6 times ;)) DCM challenge

I love this little duck stamp but only ever seem to use him on get well cards! I've had him for about three years now and think he came from Dimension Fourth. He is coloured with Promarkers and mounted onto yellow and dark green card. The brown spotty paper is another from Patti Picklicious.

Sketch and Stash

But as you can see, I flipped it round. My 'new' for this week is the pale blue paper from Baby Bee collection by Crate Paper. I've had it for over a year now but this is the first time I've cut into it *blush* :))
It fits the Colour Create challenge this week too where the colours are Sky blue, Tan and Ecru
It is also my card for this week's DCM Dare. It's Kathy's turn to set the dare this week and she says "This week I'd like you to do a bit of "singing in the rain" and make cards on the theme"Wet, Wet, Wet"I'd like to see cards featuring water of any kind, and if you can actually USE water in the making of them - then you can claim an extra bonus point lol.So if you're ready to get splashy off you go...." I've used 'Jim-just chillin' by Sally-Ann Hancock and available from DewDrop Craftz as he is perfect for this challenge. He is coloured with Promarkers. The sentiment was cut from a piece of Dovecraft (I think) paper.

Kathy's Waffle

I made this card the other day for a friend of mine who has just got engaged.
Papers are by Papermania
sentiment is from a Quote Stack and I think it's by DCWV
Sizzix glasses
MS punch
Nestabilities oval
Prima flowers

Mojo Monday

x 5! I said earlier this week that I had been doing the challenges and here I am to prove it :) If you are about to take a look I might suggest that you grab a drink first, it may take a while LOL
Sketch #83

I know it's not a card but I was doing the albums at the time and thought I would give the sketch a go anyway! Papermania paper, Sizzix frame and wording, wedding trim from Ribbon Oasis

Sketch #84

Paper is HOTP, Cuttlebug embossing folder, Gems are Anita's, ribbon is from Ribbon Oasis, butterfly and sentiment are from Kirsty Wiseman
Sketch #85
Papers are K & Co McKenna, MS Doily punch, Papermania flowers and ric rac from Ribbon Oasis
Sketch #87
HOTP papers, Doily punch, Nestabilities circles, QK Revolution flourish die and the sentiment is a rub on by MSE. This card was also made for last weeks Colour Create challenge
That's it for this post now onto the next :)

Getting there

Rain, rain go away.........we have had a couple of really awful downpours this evening and it is running torrents down the road. It's almost reminiscent of the start of the floods two years ago :(

I think I'm getting there regarding the challenges but every time I say that I end up behind again! LOL I've managed to get a few cards done in between assorted commissions but not many. I did the Inspirational challenge last week and made a card (unsuccessfully) for the DT call!

I made this card for a lovely friend who celebrated her 60th last Monday. Numbers were hand cut using wooden templates (and scissors!), papers are all Papermania and the ribbon, lace and charm were all from my stash.

This card was made for DH to take to work last week. Papers are from Patti Picklicious (I am certainly getting my monies worth from that cd :)) The stamp is a Studio G cheapy set and the flourishes are from my new Swirls die by QK.

Kathy's Waffle

Kathy posted the new sketch a little while ago but I only managed to get it done last night as I put the wedding stationery to one side for a couple of hours and had a play :)

I used my lovely Grow papers from the Bloom and Grow collection by My Mind's Eye along with the matching Bazzill card. The flowers are Prima and everything else is from my stash. Letters are Quickutz Olivia which have been cut from the same paper.

Two in one!

I've combined a couple of challenges here in a card I made yesterday for the Secret Crafter challenge which is to use glitter on your card, then realised that I should have posted the Colour Create bit last night before the new challenge was posted today........a definite blonde moment (but I'm a red head LOL) Anyway, the colour combination was
Blue and green

Papers are by Papermania which is also covering my chipboard flower with the glittered centre (not much but it is there :)) I love the sage ribbon and it matches the textured card brilliantly. Another May birthday sorted, this time for DH's auntie.....I think I'm about done with May now so I can start on June. My nephew's birthday is 3rd and DD1 get's married on the 6th.

Toodle pip, thanks for looking.

Friday Sketchers

weeks 51 and 52 and Papertake Weekly's challenge which is to you animals on your card.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong with blooming blogger but I can't seem to do anything I want to do. I can't add multiple pictures any more and I can't drag pictures to where I want them and can only add one picture at a time. I've just tried editing my 'Friday Sketchers' post as I showed the sketch of one and the image of another and it wouldn't let me! Anyway.......

Papers are Pink Petticoat and left overs by Papermania (from the albums I made during the week), the gems are Anita's and the other bits are from my stash. That's a birthday card for DH's neice, at the end of the month, off my list.

I used some more fabby papers from the Patti Picklicious cd and a little left over piece from Papermania wedding paper, my cutie little owl stamp stamp is from Stamps Away, the blossom stamp is from Debbi Moore, the fabulous swirl is a Quickutz Revolution die (and I love it), the flowers are Prima and the gems are from my stash.
I'm really happy with this card (which makes a change!!!)

DewDrop Craftz

challenge this week was set by Sarah and she said she "would like you to incorporate a 'pocket' into your creation. This could be a pocket to hold a secret message.. money or even another part of the creation" The winner of this challenge will win a stamp of their choice from Nikki's shop

I made two cards for this challenge although I might have my wrist slapped for the first one :)

The pockets are in his shorts LOL The image is from DewDrop and he's been coloured with Promarkers. The backing paper is from a HOTP pad I found in a drawer and the sentiment circle is from Patti Picklicious.

This little Manga couple is so sweet and ideal if you don't want a super cutie image for a wedding card! Again I've used the PMs, the papers are from Papermania and my tag was just an oval Nestie. Eyelets, gems and ribbon are from my meagre (!) stash.

Just like buses....

.....nothing for ages then three posts at once :)

I'm sat here like old Granny Grunt at the moment, I've got a packet of Gaviscon at my side and am listening to Friday Night Is Music Night on Radio 2......they are featuring Paul Carrick and he is brill. He's singing the Living Years at the moment, fab!

Anyway, my third card is for a commissioned graduation card and uses the Papertake Weekly sketch from last week.

This is the first outing for a long time for the old Sizzix dies, I still find them useful so they were a good buy all those years ago :) A couple of the papers are by K and Co I think, they are all left over from assorted projects. the lace and diamante are from my stash.

Also this week I have made two seating plans, both very different, a set of bonbonierres and place cards for a wedding in St Lucia, two commissioned albums and some flower decs for a photo shoot at a new wedding venue! Oh, and a card to feature on Becky Fleck's June Card Maps and newsletter......how cool is that :)) You'll notice from my list that I've plenty more to show but I'll add some more over the weekend as I have more work to do.

Enjoy your weekend and thanks for looking :)

By the skin of my teeth!

My next card was a commission for a teacher I used to work with who is leaving primary school to become a lecturer at Hull Uni...........I think that definitely qualifies as one extreme to the other! All the best Kelly :)

I used this week's sketch from Sketch Saturday and another PB image which I received last year from my blogging bud Jo This time I coloured the image with Prisma pencils and Sansador. The papers are from Pink Petticoat, spotty flowers are Prima and everything else is from my stash.

When Patti met Sally.........

It should actually be Sally-Ann, as in the fabulously talented Mrs Hancock but it didn't fit :) and I shall show you why I came up with this ingenious (not) title :) I needed a card in a hurry this morning but didn't have the time to start looking for matching papers etc and Kirsty's cd, Patti Picklicious was staring at me and so the inevitable happened. Instead of trying to reduce the off cut paper mountain even further, I printed of another half dozen sheets! I also used the Truly Scrumptious challenge from 29th April which also stated that the card had to be good enough to eat.

The papers from the cd are the Filligree Baby Girl split sheet and the Chocolate Fudge Spots. I also used the Happy Birthday 'button' from the Circle Greeting section. The cupcake image is one of Sally-Ann's drawings which have been turned into acrylic stamps by Nikki at DewDrop Craftz I coloured the image with my PMs and added glitter to the icing and Glossy Accents to the cherry on the top :) The card looks wonky in the picture but it isn't IRL.........honest LOL

65th Birthday

Now I've finished packing samples ready for posting tomorrow I can update a bit more! Another cool sketch from Sketch and Stash and another tick on my list :) Made this card for DH to take with him on Friday night as he was dj ing at a birthday party.
Papers are Papermania, numbers are hand cut using wooden numbers as templates, flowers are Prima, ribbon is from Ribbon Oasis and the mats are cut using Nesties labels. My new for this challenge is the sentiment stamp which was free on the front of a mag.
