Late again!

Oh dear, I'll be getting my bum smacked!!
This is a sneaky peek of my dt card for the new challenge on Rosie Dee's blog. If you fancy saving my bacon please go over and join in :)) (or at least go and see what the other super talented dt members have come up with for the new challenge!)

Debbi Moore Designs

As I said in my previous post, here are the samples I made last month.

I was really pleased with the way they turned out considering I didn't have my craft room with me :)

If I get the time during the week, I will try to upload the cards I made for one of Debbi's appearances on Create and Craft in July.

It's beddy byes time now.

Made in Cornwall too

This is another one of the necklaces I made whilst we were on holiday. They are so pretty in any colour combination, I'm making them at the moment in gold and iridescent seed beads and they are lovely too.
This one is gun metal grey and iridescent and I think it has to be my favourite so far. I want to make earrings to match them too as they will be going on sale ready for Christmas and I tend to sell more necklace and earring sets than necklaces or earrings on their own.

All I had to do with this fascinator was to add a few yellow feathers to it. I was a bit wary of the colour combination when I was asked to do it but I must admit that it looked lovely when it was done.

Another card for the Cyprus wedding in June next year.

and an invitation sample. All in all I think I've had a rather productive week!

I'm now going to upload my DT cards I made for Debbi Moore whilst I was in Cornwall.

Sketch and Stash

This card was commissioned by a friend (and excellent customer :)) who is being a Godmother this month and she is absolutely chuffed to bits.

Materials: rocking hors - Thin Cuts, papers - Pink Petticoat, Nesties, chrm and cord from stash

My 'new' is the Thin Cuts rocking horse die. I've had it a couple of years now and this is the first time it has been out of the packet, oops!

Happy Birthday

to my darling hubby who is 21 again!!! I was feeling quite smug yesterday as I managed to get his birthday card made...........last year I was making it as he came through the door from work on the day of his birthday, at tea time!!! So I think I deserve just a little gloat LOL I used the Sketch Saturday sketch from last week

Materials: image - Penny Black, ProMarkers, sentiment - The Cutting Cafe, papers - Pink Petticoat, button and cord from stash

Mojo Monday

Another sketch and another card :) My card also show cases a brand new digital download from Nikki at DewDrop Craftz

Materials: image - DewDrop Craftz, ProMarkers, papers - Pink Peticoat, flowers - Prima,
ribbon - Ribbon Oasis, brad - Doodlebug

Sketch Saturday

The Sketch Saturday team have a call out at the moment for new DT members and they ask that we make a card using the following sketch

Materials: image and papers - Pink Petticoat, number rub on - Doodlebug, sentiment rub on - Crate, ric rac - stash

The card is for my baby's birthday on Monday and as you may have gathered, she will be 16 and she is into pink and black at the moment. She is having a mini makeover in her bedroom for her birthday and yes, she is having it pink and black! :) I find it very hard to believe how quickly she has grown up! We have a busy couple of days now. It's DH's birthday today so we are all going out for Sunday lunch tomorrow as he is working this evening and then on Monday, it is all you can eat Chinese buffet time again..........no dishes for two days (not that I do them, but I do stick the dishwasher on occasionally LOL)

Rosie Dee's

Challenge last week was to follow a sketch and this is the DT card I made

Materials: image and paper - Pink Petticoat, ProMarkers, MS punch, Diamond Glaze, flat back SA pearls.

Don't forget to check the blog tomorrow evening for the new challenge.

Passion For ProMarkers

I seem to be late with a few challenges again which isn't unusual for as I spend half my life chasing my tail :)) This card is a prime example of that.......I've combined two sketches, Passion For ProMarkers and Friday Sketchers so as you will guess, I'm still in time for the ProMarker challenge but a day late with the sketch LOL

Materials: assorted papers from 'oddments' box, Penny Black image, ProMarkers, flower-Papermania, sentiment - The Cutting Cafe, ribbon - Ribbon Oasis, brad - Doodlebug

And the rest!

The following were made for a wedding on Saturday and were collected last night
.
60 place cards
a guest book
a seating plan

seating plan for a wedding on 19th September

10 baby thank you cards which supplemented the order for 60 I made in July!

I also managed to sit out in the garden for an hour at lunch time when my friend came during her luch hour AND I went to the Range too. I couldn't keep that up every day LOL Apart from the bit about sitting outside, I could cope with that every day and if it's as lovely tomorrow as it has been today then I'll be out there again tomorrow.

Tomorrow I need to make a
Christening card,
a wedding card,
start a baby album,
add some yellow feathers to a cerise fascinator (!),
make cards for DH's birthday on Saturday and DD2's birthday on Monday
and make a start on a seating plan for the 26th
DT card for Saturday

I also have two wedding fayres (20th and 27th) that I need to prepare for.

That's it from me tonight, take care and thanks for looking.

P pick up a penguin

This next card was made last night with a new download from DewDrop Craftz Digiz and he just has to be my favourite from the new collection of penguins :)

Image - DewDrop download, ProMarkers, Glamour Dust, Paper - K & Co,die cuts - Cuttlebug, rub on - MSE

I printed and coloured him twice, cut him out and mounted him over the original image on 3d foam pads. I then attacked him and his igloo with Glamour Dust. I used glitter card on the bottom half of the card as snow and the die cuts were all cut from glitter card too.

Made in Cornwall

I made this necklace whilst I was on holiday from a pattern I found on my lap top from a long time ago. I've no idea where I got the pattern from but I think it might have been About Beads. Although my name is on the picture, I took the copyright symbol off as the pattern doesn't belong to me.

I love this colour combination.....I think the pale pink really suits the turquoise beads. There are over 1800 seed beads on this necklace, I had to count them so I could cost it properly LOL. I also made the necklace in black and clear and gold and clear but I haven't photographed them yet.

Inspirational Card Sketches

I've been working like a little trojan this week. I can't believe how much I've achieved so far.......and it's only Wednesday!! I even managed to sneak in a facial and back massage this morning, bliss!! :)
So here goes, starting with a card I made yesterday using another of Dawn's sketches

Papers - K & Co and mag freebie, image - Penny Black coloured with ProMarkers,
sentiment - MSE rub on, flowers - Papermania and Prima, everything else from stash

My card is also for the challenge on the Secret Crafter's challenge this week, which is Hearts and Flowers - I want to see BOTH hearts and flowers on your creations. The flowers are obvious and the hearts are in the centre of the flowers and on the sentiment 'plaque'.

I hope you're sitting comfortably cos I'm about to upload everything I've done so far. LOL

Shapes

"We're having a month of SHAPES in September, starting with Circles & Ovals. We want to see at least one circle and one oval on your project this week, or more if you fancy adding them." This is the new challenge over on Rosie-Dee's blog, the sketch which goes with it and a sneaky peek at my card.
Why not take a hop over and have a look at the wonderful work from my team mates. Have a go yourself and don't forget to leave us a comment so we can come and visit you :)

toodlepip, tfl ;)

ICS DT call

I know I said a while ago that I wasn't going to apply for any more DTs but I loved this sketch of Dawn's and needed to make a thank you card for my lovely MIL so I decided to use the sketch. I'm still not sure whether or not to put my card forward but I will show you why I needed the card in the first place. My MIL went to the Black Forest on holiday a few weeks ago and this is what she brought me back.......Me in my ignorance thought the flowers were snowdrops or blue bells but apparently they are fuchsias! It is actually a sun catcher but I'm going to frame it to keep it clean. I lived in Germany for seven years as my dad was in the RAF and we never went to the Black Forest, however, DH has now said he will add it to our 'to do' list........at this rate I'll be about 150 by the time I achieve all I want to achieve LOL.

So onto my cutie little card and Dawn's sketch.....

Paper and flower-So Pretty, MME, gold gem-Papermania, ribbon-Ribbon Oasis, Sentiment-MSE

DewDrop Digiz

Have you seen the new Digi shop on the DewDrop Craftz web site? There are some lovely new images on there ready to download. I love digi downloads, I print them off a sheet at a time and colour them as I want them but have always got uncoloured images knocking about!! I love this new image Nikki sent me the other day. She is called Butterfly Swirl and I just had to get out the glitter pot when I saw her. :) I used the new sketch from the Inspirational Card Sketches blog for my card and I think it also fits in with the Papertake Weekly challenge which is

Angels And Fairies

It couldn't be simpler. So if you want to p p p pick up a penguin (sorry!!) all you have to do is include something fairy-ish or angelic on your cards and that's it..

paper-magazine freebie, download-Butterfly Swirl, ProMarkers,Cuttlebug embossing strips, flowers-Prima,
Glamour Dust, everything else from stash.

The camera hasn't picked up the glamour dust at all which is a shame as she has sparkly hair and wings. I had to take the photo at an angle to stop getting my reflection in the mirror card. LOL

I really need to do some work now but I'm going to nip down the garden to feed the fish and pull some pears off the tree for after tea this evening. Not sure whether to make a pear sponge with chocolate custard or pear crumble and ordinary custard!! Such difficult decisions :))

Back later, tfl. x

PS There are even some free digi images in the DewDropz Digi Shop.

Anyone For Anya?

The first sketch is up on the 'Anyone For Anya?' blog so I had to have another go :)

Anya stamp Greeting Farm, coloured with ProMarkers and paper pieced with MME papers, other papers-Bloom & Grow (MME),
butterfly sentiment-
Craftwork Cards, flowers-Prima

I hope you're not sick of my Anya stamp yet ;) I do have an Ian too and have ordered another Anya so I will be able to vary my challenge stamps ever so slightly LOL

I can't believe that it's only a week since we came back from Cornwall, it feels like a really long time. I've had loads of work come in this week so that's probably why. If I go MIA you'll know why. I'm trying to knock the 18 hour days on the head but so far it's not working, I worked till 3.30 am on Monday!! I will still be slipping challenges in though as I still need to fill up my stock box and a shop.

Sketch Saturday

Another sketch that I managed to sneak into a much needed card this morning and it's a single challenge card not a combination :)

Image-Hampton Art coloured with Prismas & Sansador, borders-Cuttlebug, papers and sentiment-mag freebies,
flowers-Prima and everything else from my stash.
Sorry about the short posts but I'm in a rush at the mo trying to get done and have a (relatively) early night! My laptop decided to play silly beggars again today so I had no computer all afternoon, why does it always happen when there is so much to do?! I couldn't use DH's pc (which is in the corner of my craft room) because all the wedding work which I need to be doing is on mine and I hadn't done a recent back up!! Anyway, I shall be up extra early tomorrow to get some work done before I take DD to town for the rest of her school uniform. Crikey I've just thought, my baby is entering her final year at school before moving on to college next year.........where have the last 16 years gone?

Perfectly matched!

Mojo Monday and Passion For Promarkers :) I needed to make a couple of quick 'grown up' birthday cards and knew roughly what I wanted to do so it was great when I checked both challenges and realised that I could do them both with the one card.
Right onto this week’s challenge, which has been chosen by Caryn. She would like to see your ‘girly and glittery’ creations but you can use any colour promarkers (great for all you beginners who are still building up your stash).

Image- Debbi Moore Designs coloured with ProMarkers & Glamour Dust, papers-Blonde Moments and Bloom and Grow by MME,
sentiment tiles-
Craftwork Cards, flowers-Papermania and Prima, everything else from stash.

I hope you like it :)
