Passion for

ProMarkers week #19 - I was gutted last week when I couldn't take part, I didn't have the right colours and as I had just received another half a dozen (which brought my total to 64!) from Wendy at Secret Crafter I couldn't justify buying any more :0 I managed this week's challenge ok though and the colours look beautiful together and are perfectly matched with Stampin Up papers ..........and clearly I wasn't the only one who thought so LOL. Anyway, the challenge this week is "Onto this week's challenge, which has been chosen by our new guest designer Sam, and she would like us to use cool aqua and apricot as our colour scheme with a twist to use flowers (not too difficult this week!)."

Materials: image - Debbi Moore Designs, ProMarkers, papers - Stampin Up, flowers - Prima, ribbon,
gems and brads - from stash

Back with more tomorrow, hopefully :)

Mojo Monday

Week #106

How many times have I posted today?!? I think this is my 6th......I'll need a lie down after the next one :)

Materials: papers - Craftwork Cards, image - The Digi Stamp Boutique, ProMarkers,
sentiment - MSE rub on, everyting else from stash

This card has been sat on my desk all afternoon and I'm still not sure about it. I'm not sure if the 'retro' background over powers the image! All opinions will be gratefully received :)

Crown Jewels?

Not quite! A client came to see me a couple of weeks ago with three necklaces which she has had for quite a while but were so long and heavy she couldn't wear them. This is what they morphed into :)This necklace was lovely. The large flat beads had an almost mother of pearl effect, really pretty. I made two necklaces, a bracelet and a pair of earrings.

This next necklace is dark grey and out of this one I managed to make two necklaces, a bracelet and two pairs of earrings.

This one is the same as the one above but clear glass beads. Again, I managed two necklaces, two pairs of earrings and a bracelet. Exit one very happy customer :)

The final picture is of my table on Sunday at the wedding fayre. It was really difficult to get a decent photo as the lighting in the room wasn't very good and we had the glare of the window to contend with too. Not knowing much about photography or how to use the camera might have something to do with it LOL but it was actually DH who took the pics not me :)

Till next time, thanks for looking.

Sketch #71

from Friday Sketchers. This time I've teamed it up with the challenge from Colour Create as I just love this colour combination. The colour combination is HOT PINK, DUSKY PINK, ICE CHOCOLATE.The optional extra if you would like to play along with that too is - pearls and swirls

Materials: image and papers - Craftwork Cards, ProMarkers, flowers - Prima, gems - Papermania,
ribbon -
Ribbon Oasis, rub on - MSE

I managed the swirls (on the paper!) but completely forgot about the pearls and used crystals instead, what a muppet LOL

Sketch Saturday

Another lovely sketch but this time I turned it onto it's side (I hope the team don't mind :))

Materials: Image (Frillie Millie, Pumpkin) and papers - Pink Petticoat, coloured with ProMarkers,
flowers - Prima, gems - Papermania, sentiment - EZ rub on, lace from stash, Nesties

I forgot I'd bought her and came across her while I was looking for something last night. I know she is 'Pumpkin Millie' but I wanted to see how she would look in slightly more subdues colours and I'm quite pleased with her. I printed off two images and layered her dress and hat with 3D foam pads.

I hope you like it :)

Inspirational

This sketch was right up my street.....I find it much easier to do clean and simple than distressed and cluttered LOL I bought a load of the new white Prima's a couple of weeks ago so I could colour them to match my project........the red one has been coloured with a Berry Red ProMarker.

I'm catching up with the 2 Sketches challenges as I forgot to do last week's :) I made the two cards yesterday so I'm now up to date. This first card is also being entered for the Secret Crafter challenge which is "This week's challenge has been set by the lovely JILL and she has chosen a theme of:-ANIMAL ANTICS We want to see animals in your projects, the stranger and funnier things they are up to the better!"
I think this lovely little bear fits that challenge :)

Papertake Weekly

Sketch #24

Yet another one of Dawny's fabulous sketches, I'm so pleased I came across this challenge blog when I did :)Materials: image was recieved as a RAK (I think it's from Funky Kits), ProMarkers, papers - K & Co, Cordinations and silver mirror card,
sentiment - Crate rub on, gems - Papermania

I don't often use green on my work but I'm quite pleased with this one. I ran the cardstock through the Cuttlebug Stylised Flowers embossing folder then sanded the flowers lightly (that's about as distressed as I can manage LOL) so I could enter it also into the Cupcake Craft Challenge which is
DISTRESSING TECHNIQUES
We would love to see your torn edges, sanding or sponging! Whatever technique you choose to create a distressed look to your project, we want to see it!

This is a new challenge for me and I don't even know how I came across it. I know that it saved me from having a strop cos I didn't have the right colours to enter the Passion For ProMarkers challenge this week for the first time ever (and I've got about 60 of the blooming things! ;)) I will definitely be visiting the CCC blog again though, there is some lovely work over there.

Thanks for looking and have a nice weekend whatever you are up to.

Mojo Monday

Well that's another week disappeared in a cloud of dust! Does anyone know where the tim is actually going cos I could sure as heck do with going and bringing some back LOL. I achieved so much at the beginning of the week and it seems to have gone down hill from there :) I need to do a bit of prep for tomorrows wedding fayre but apart from that I think I'm still on track (except for another album commission that I wanted to start but I'll make that a priority on Monday!)

Challenge #105

Materials: papers - Colourbok, Stampin Up (and from stash), image - DewDrop Craftz (I think), ProMarkers

Anyone For Anya?

I put this card together at about 7.30 this morning, did something else and then because something was put on top of it I forgot about it until now!
Any how, the challenge on Anyone For Anya? this week is "our challenge is Funky Flowers. We want to see something flowery on your cards. You can use bought or made flowers or you could use flowery papers - we don't mind as long as it's fab and funky."

Materials used: Anya stamp - Dies to Die For, papers - Pink Petticoat, ProMarkers,
flowers - Prima, sentiment -
Craftwork Cards, gems - Papermania

I got a pleasant surprise the other day. I received a Readicut catalogue the week before last and it sat on my desk for over a week still in the wrapping. I decided last Friday that I would have a quick look through it before I chucked it and there were three cards in there that I'd made as samples for Debbi Moore :) I didn't realise that she had started selling through Readicut so I was rather chuffed..........little things please little minds eh? LOL

One for the girls

for today, my card for the Secret Crafter which is "This week it's the lovely DONNA's turn to set the challenge and she has taken pity on us and chosen something that we all love. ONE FOR THE GIRLS Any creations as long as it's girl themed. Now you can embellish until your hearts content LOL."
and Mojo Monday's sketch challenges for this week.

And finally, another commission. This time it was to make a 'ticket wallet' for Arctic Monday tickets as a birthday pressie but I had to incorporate the cd cover too. I decided to make it look like a cd and was quite pleased with the way it turned out. I have an album to do for the same person but that is Monday's job.He he, I've just realised that I forgot to edit the last picture. I'll do it tomorrow and upload it again.
I must get back to work now as I have a wedding fayre tomorrow and still have two seating plans to make and my stuff to sort.

It's show time!

Saturday is reveal day for our RD challenge cards and this week's challenge has been "This months theme of SHAPES continues with a recipe. So, we'd like to see 2 squares and a rectangle on your project this week please" so here is mine
I made it for DD's 16th birthday last Monday and it was well received :) Don't forget to hop over to Rosie Dee's tomorrow evening when the new challenge is posted. We would love it if you could join in with us and play.
